《Aphrodisiac ✔️(mikaelson soulmate)》Chapter III: Stop Staring

I looked at Elijah as his eyes brightened in happiness. Like he hadn't completely thought I would agree to go with him so easily. Elijah lifted his hand out, waiting for me to accept his hand. Waiting for me to step out of the barrier that protected me. Taking a deep breath, I looked behind him and around him, making sure no one was going to come out of nowhere. Elijah looked around as well, probably because he saw how worried I was.
I finally reached out and laid my hand in his, stepping out of the house slowly. The moment my hand touched his, the glowing in the green triangle began to dim down. The black outline that glowed green now had Written in gold cursive loops inside of it. Elijah was already looking at my wrist as well. It was the sign of the first stage of the bond. Acceptance. I looked up to meet Elijah's eyes that were already looking at me. A smile on his lips.
"Shall we then?" He questioned, letting me pull my hand away- even if he didn't want me too. I nodded. He looked around me. "Do you not have any belongings?"
"My car broke down outside of town.. if no one broke into it then I have a bag there." I told him. Elijah raised his eyebrows.
"You walked to the Mystic Grill from outside of town?" He questioned as he led me down the steps of Caroline's porch and to what looked to be his car.
"Well- ran. But yeah." I told him with a shrug. "I know. I don't exactly look like a runner." I laughed. Elijah snapped his eyes to me as I laughed out. Opening the passenger side door for me as he smiled.
"I wasn't thinking that. I was thinking that I was surprised you made it there safely." He corrected me. I shrugged.
"You and me both. I'm definitely not a runner- so maybe whoever was chasing me at the time is less of a runner than me?" Elijah laughed, shaking his head.

"So you live with all of my mates?" I asked Elijah as he drove us to what I was guessing was his house. He glanced at me, nodding.
"They are my brothers." I furrowed my brows at him, a mixture of shock and confused. He noticed before smiling. "Is that a problem?"
"N-no! I- I just didn't expect my mates to all be brothers." I looked down at my hands that were resting on my lap. Don't get me wrong- I felt extremely comfortable with Elijah. I didn't feel like he would hurt me or use me. I felt safe. But I also hadn't been in a small space with anyone-let alone a man in a while. Not since before I got my marking.
"You don't need to worry, Octavia. My brothers and I have been waiting for you for quite some time. There should be no jealousy if that is what you are worried about." Elijah informed me. I looked back up at him. "Well, maybe Klaus will be jealous. But he just needs someone to put him into place. Which I'm sure you can do."
"Klaus is the one with the Temper." I told him with a raised eyebrow. Elijah smiled, nodding.
"He won't with you." He assured me. I looked away from him to look out the window. Seeing a large mansion like house surrounded by trees. My lips parted as I stared at it.
"This is where you live??" I questioned. Elijah pulled into the driveway, turning the car off.
"This is where you live as well, Octavia."
Elijah helped me out of the car, holding my hand which sent a mixture of warmth and flutters throughout my body. Leading me up the sidewalk to the front door. He turned to me, letting out a sigh.
"I must apologize for how my brothers may act. Finn is a gentleman- but Kol and Niklaus are a bit... like animals." Elijah explained. I let out a nervous laugh, nodding.
"I guess now is as good as time as any to meet them then." I told him with a smile. Elijah smiled back, nodding as he held my hand. His hand was huge compared to mine. It basically swallowed mine whole. Elijah grabbed the door handle, pushing the door open slowly. The moment we had stepped in, a man was thrown out of what I could only assume was the living room. His shirt gone and his hair a bit messy. The third triangle on my wrist was glowing a bright red color as he lifted his head and mad eye contact with me. A smile blossoming on his face.

"Well if it isn't our little mate." He spoke as he stood up slowly, dusting off the imaginary dust. I held Elijah's hand tighter as the man came up to us.
"Kol-" Elijah warned as the man ignored him and came up to me. My breath hitching as I glanced down at his shirtless- toned chest.
Stop Staring.
"Enjoying the view, Darlin'?" Kol questioned causing my eyes to snap up to his heated gaze. He reached out, taking my hand from Elijahs and bringing it to his lips. "The name is Kol Mikaelson. And you, Darlin', can stare all you want." He flirted. I was sure my face was darkened with a blush. If it wasn't then maybe I was dying of a blood clot. I swallowed hard as he kissed my hand, before looking back at me.
"Uh- I- um." I stammered a bit before taking a deep breath. I was feeding this man's ego, majorly. "My name is Octavia Yorker. But I go by Vee." I told him, turning our hands so I could shake his hand. Kol looked down at our hands, grinning as I shook his. His eyes looked to my wrist to see his initials, K.M. Appearing in a deep gold inside of the red triangle. His proud grin growing.
"Well, Vee. Let me show you to your room- or my room if you wish hard enough." Kol winked. I pulled my hand from his, laughing awkwardly.
"That's enough Kol. You're going to scare her off before she can even meet Finn and Niklaus." Elijah scolded his younger brother. Kol rolled his eyes at his brother. "Why don't you have a shirt on? And what was going on when we got here?"
"Oh, our dear sister decided to throw me in one of her tantrums. Apparently, I broke her potential boyfriends hand last night and she found out." Kol hummed. My eyes widened a bit. He broke some guys hand? They have a sister?
"And you wonder why our sister doesn't seem to get along well with you." Elijah sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
"Yeah, well. If she hadn't of thrown me, I would have been more decent for our mate. So I guess this was a blessing in disguise." Kol said, winking at me. Every time he flirted or winked at me, I swear the butterfly's in my stomach multiply. I bet he knew that too.
"Oh you poor creature. You're the unlucky soul mated to these morons?" I snapped my gaze to the side to notice a blonde woman had come into the hallway. Her eyes scanning me, probably trying to see if I was a threat.
"I guess I am." I responded with a bit of a smile. She seemed sassy. Kind of reminded me of my own sister.
"I'm Rebekah Mikaelson." She introduced, holding her hand out. I took it a lot easier than I did Elijah's. Probably because the only tie I would have to this woman is her being my Mate's sister.
"Octavia Yorker." I told her with a smile and a shake of her hand. "But you can call me Vee." I added. My hand was pulled away from hers by Kol who was narrowing his eyes at his sister.
"That's enough. Let's go see your new room, Darlin'." Kol huffed out, pulling me to follow him. I looked back at Elijah and Rebekah, the latter laughing at my helpless reaction.

Children of Danu, People of Skill Book 1. (LitRPG/Gamelit)
Hi all, this is my first attempt at fiction ever. I'm sure it's awful, first attempts at new things usually are. Hopefully you can find something you like in it. I had a great deal of fun writing it. It's a basic Litrpg/Game, God sends you to a new world to do their bidding plot. I Know I did too much telling and not enough showing. I'm working on that. The underlying system is one haven't seen or done much. a full Point Buy system, like Gurps, Champions or the Hero system. After writing it a while, I see why folks don't do it. The record keeping is tedious. And once you start doing math in subsequent chapters, you can't go back and add more action, just because you dread redoing all the math. I've got about 80k words written in two "books" on the novel so far. I'm going to edit chapters and try to drop a couple a week till it's finished. Hopefully that will work for folks. I need to punch up the amount of action. I'll be working on that as well. Thanks, Cal-P.S> The cover art is one of the two CIrce Paintings By Waterhouse.
