"Yeah sweetheart, Tamaki gets those when he isn't able to sleep either." His sister reassured "it's just a small fever okay? Just get her somewhere she can cool off"
"what if it gets worse?" He asked as paranoia began to wash over his thoughts.
"Koutaro."
"Nee-san"
"Children get sick from time to time."
"But she-"
"If it gets worse, can you promise you'll take her to the hospital?" The woman asked.
"The doctors there don't know squat!" The man yelled "even Akaashi could tell something's wrong!"
"If her fever gets too high, take her again, they won't be able to send you both back home without treatment"
"Okay.."
"Just promise me you'll be fine okay? Please don't panic. You've been doing a great job so far" She encouraged
"Y-yeah I guess I have" He grinned slightly as Emo-mode began to fade slowly.
"Exactly! (Y/n) has the perfect father~" she added.
"Aww.. stop you'll make me blush" Bokuto whined.
"Now calm down and go take care of your baby girl"
"Thank you so much sis" he exhaled.
"No problem kid, but next time don't leave 26 missed calls on my phone okay?" She groaned "could have just called Kayo or Mom"
"Kayo would kill me if I called her that many times" he chuckled remembering his other sister "and mom...well... she'd take the next flight over here"
"That woman does not joke with her grandkids" Keiko chuckled "take care of yourselves. And say hi to Akaashi for me"
"Wait how'd you know Akaashi was here?" He asked. Bokuto was sure he didn't mention Akaashi's name.
"Eh.. just a hunch" she shrugged before hanging up the line.
Bokuto sighed and slid his phone back into his pocket. He was just going to have to stay positive.
No more negative behavior.
"Hey, have you spoken to Keiko?" Asked Akaashi walking onto the balcony in Bokuto's room.
"Yeah.. she says I should just calm down and try to get her fever down" He explained, taking his daughter from Akaashi.
"Sorry" Akaashi apologized "I just couldn't get her to sleep."
Bokuto glanced at the little girl and saw her eyes wide open. She looked like she wasn't going to bed anytime soon.
"Cupcake could you wait for me to escort Akaashi outside?" Bokuto asked the girl. It was a windy outside and he didn't want her out there.
"Okay" she nodded and he put her back on the bed.
"I'll be right back, okay sweetheart?"
The men made their way to the driveway where Akaashi's car was.
"You know.. you didn't have to come all the way here" Koutaro started, giving his bestfriend a smile.
"It was nothing" Akaashi exhaled "honestly, I wanted to. She's grown on me alot."
Well honestly, it was expected. Over the past 5 months Akaashi loved spending time with (Y/n), and she loved spending time with her very own 'Maji-Man'.
Akaashi grew fond of her.
That was an understatement.
The moment Keiji got the text that (Y/n) was coming down with a fever, he rushed all the way from his office just to see how she was doing.
He even made dinner. And tried to serenade her to bed. Of course she didn't actually go to sleep but it was the sentiment that counted.
"Of course, she was really happy to see you" Bokuto chuckled "Thank you." Bokuto whispered, pulling the smaller man into a tight hug.
Akaashi stiffened as he face grew warmer. It was happening. Again!

'Koutaro what are you doing to me..' he thought as he slowly gave in, hugging his friend back.
Akaashi knew Bokuto was in a time of need so obviously things like this were going to happen.
'Don't let your feelings get in the way. He needs you right now'
"Well it's late" Bokuto started, scratching the back of his head "I'll uh- you should- Goodbye"
"Hm? Oh yeah- mhm..." Akaashi nodded frantically, trying to shake off the obvious blush.
He turned his heel about to enter his car but then-
"Oh and Akaashi-" Bokuto called suddenly moving forward.
"Yes Bo-"
What Keiji did not expect was for his friend to pull him in- FOR A KISS.
It was quite short- but it happened.
It was dark but the moonlight was bright enough to show the light pink tint on Bokuto's face.
"So uh- Yeah Goodnight" Bokuto bowed stiffly before turning around and marching back to his house.
'Huh?' Akaashi thought as his car-key fell on he floor.
'That's weird... I could have sworn Bokuto-San just kissed me' he was stiff, still standing on the driveway as Bokuto had entered the house.
"So he finally put the moves on you" a voice stated, pulling Akaashi out of his trance.
"Sa-Saku-san" Akaashi blurted looking at the 3 guys who were walking towards him "how did-"
"We didn't wanna interrupt...so we just kinda watched" Shoyo admitted "sorry!"
"Eh~ so what's gonna happen next?" Atsumu smirked, slinging his arm around Keiji's shoulder.
"Maybe they'll start going out?" Sakusa suggested.
"Wait so they aren't already? But- he comes over and cooks for us-" Shoyo asked in disbelief "Akaashi-San, you're really not dating Kou-San?"
"Uh.."
"Well obviously not!" Astumu laughed "look at him- one kiss and he's already stopped functioning. It's obvious that was their first"
"Uh.. well we're going inside now" Sakusa commented "drive home safe."
"Mhm... don't get too distracted" Winked the platinum blonde.
"I wish you both the best" Shoyo winked too.
"Tha...nk you" Akaashi mumbled watching them retreat into their house.
Thus, Mr. Akaashi Keiji, the overthinker, drove himself home.
✯¸.•'*¨'*•✿ ✿•*'¨*'•.¸✯
He trudged to the kitchen, hoping there was still something to eat, and hopefully Akaashi made it.
Aha! A decent plate of food was found in the fridge!
But then something caught Omi's attention.
The Chest-Freezer, which was right beside the fridge, was wide open.
And the various beverages and miscellaneous items were on the floor beside it.
Knowing this was probably Bokuto's idea, he took a peek.
"Bokuto why are both of you sitting in the freezer?" Sakusa asked as he saw Bokuto sitting across legged, barely fitting in there and (Y/n) resting on his lap.
"It's hot."
"So... you thought sitting in the freezer would be a good idea?"
"Yeah"
"Smart. Move over" He muttered.
"Huh?? Really Omi-omi?!"
"I'm kidding" Sakusa scoffed "but still...why the freezer?"
"It was the first thing I could think of. But still. It worked didn't it" The gray haired man smirked.
It did work... (Y/n) was fast asleep.
"So..I saw Akaashi heading out" Sakusa whispered.
"Ah!?" Bokuto stiffened, he felt the hairs on his neck stand up "is that so!?"
"Yeah." Omi smirked "not that it matters though. Right?"
"Hm? Oh yeah- totally! Yeah! Mhm!"
'He's making this way too obvious' Sakusa shook his head.
"Anyway I'm gonna head to bed" He shrugged.
"Wait could you help me hold (Y/n) so u can get out of the freezer?" Asked Bokuto.

🚨
It was deserted, she was alone. Just her in front of the old building she used to go to every day before her mother went mad.
The old school.
The playgrounds were empty.
There was nobody in the vicinity.
She looked around but her attention was caught by someone taking her hand.
"Let's go home now" he said with a smile.
"(B/n)..." she mumbled. She hadn't seen her brother in a while, almost as though she had forgotten what he looked like or who he was.
"We can't come here anymore, okay?" He said.
"Why?" she asked as she let him pull her away from the school, walking down their usual path to their home.
"Mommy said we can't anymore"
Mommy...
She had forgotten all about her too. It was as though all the old memories began to flow back to her. Both the ones she wanted and the unwanted ones.
After the short quiet walk they reached their house. The old rickety gate was there as usual. (Y/n) stood there not wanting to go any further.
"Go in." (B/n) said.
"I... I don't wanna" she shivered "I wanna see Kou" she pouted.
"Kou?" Her brother whispered, his voice getting harsh and the smile he had on his face was long gone "you want to see " He asked again.
Abruptly, she let go of the boy's hand, noticing his threatening tone.
She knew this wasn't him, she remembered what happened to him.
Almost as though this was someone else in his body, a monster.
"We're going inside" her brother commanded.
"No.." she whimpered, pulling away from his grasp "I'm not going with you!" She protested.
This made her brother angry and she knew it, she stumbled backwards and watch his face twist and contort.
His eyes and teeth popped off his skull as his hair fell off his head.
His beautiful shin colour began to fade and turn into a harsh splotch of purple and blue.
It was the monster she saw that day. Her brother.
"N-No!" She screamed, running away from him.
"COME HERE" He yelled, that wasn't even his voice anymore. It was raspy and scratchy.
Her worked faster than she could think and the toddler found herself running from the monster.
She ran away from their house, towards the direction of the school, her safe place.
She was almost there,
So close!
Then a hole opened up right in front of her and she fell right into it. Finding herself in yet another place.
🚨🚨⚠️🚨🚨
It was her mother's room, relatively clean as it always was aside from the few beer bottles near the bed.
"He- hello?" She whimped knocking on the door. She looked around the room for someone, anyone.
The eerie vibe sent shivers down her spine. Almost like dejavu... like there was something her mind was trying to keep locked away.
She shook off the feeling and made her way to the window. She was going to run away.
She climbed the small stool which conveniently happened to be under the window.
Quickly making her escape she pulled the window, but it wasn't going up.
A slam was heard from behind her but she didn't want to look, she couldn't. She was afraid.
So she tried harder, tugging at the window, begging it to open.
The man at the door looked around and finally his eyes landed on her.
"What are you doing?" The deep voice asked authoritatively. She trembled under his gaze and didn't dare take a look behind him.
"Where's your mom?" He asked as she turned around taking a peek.
Her stomach dropped as she felt her heart squeeze in her chest. It was him.
Tsukasa
"I asked a question." He spoke again making her freeze in place "is she not home?" He asked closing the door behind him.
"Well- that won't be a problem...."
✯✿✿✯
He'd never heard such a blood-curdling scream in his life. Especially the fact that it came from a child alarmed him.
He rushed over to (Y/n)'s room to see Bokuto already there a trembling mess.
🚨🚨🚨
"Cupcake!? Hey! Look at me!" He yelled, trying to shake the girl as she was heaving and thrashing.
"What's going on!? Is she having. Seizure!?" Atsumu yelled rushing over to them "(Y/n)? Hey!"
"She just woke up screaming and i-" Bokuto was struggling to find his words as all his attention was fixed on (Y/n).
I mean sure, she had night-terrors from time to time but this was on a whole different level.
Her eyes were glued shut and she was thrashing violently. "Please calm down!" Bokuto raised his voice hoping she could hear him.
"Her fever's gone up tremendously" Sakusa commented shakily, they didn't even know when him and Shoyo had entered the room.
"Don't shake her like that!" The ginger yelled "I'm calling an ambulance"
"(Y/n)? Hey- hey look at me!" Bokuto tried snapping his fingers in front of her face "Please open your eyes- it's me! It's Kou!"
"Atsumu get some water-"
Her eyes shot open and she looked around, out of breath as the thrashing came to a stop.
That is, before her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she slumped on Bokuto's chest.
Atsumu felt his heart drop to his stomach.
Omi looked But his expression wasn't half as bad as Bokuto's.
There was a short silence in the room, all that could be heard was the loud panting as everyone was still in shock.
"(Y/n)...?" Sakusa breathed out.
"Oh my God.." Atsumu whispered.
"(Y/n)- What- OH MY GOD OH MY GOD" Bokuto was shaking the girl gently in his arms "WHAT'S HAPPENING- WAKE UP!"
"CALM DOWN CALM DOWN" Atsumu yelled, putting his hands on his head. he wasn't calm himself. "SHE'S FINE"
"She- She's not responding!" Sakusa was panicking, he could barely stop himself from shaking.
"We gotta get her to a hospital" Bokuto yelled, dashing out of the room, almost tripping on his feet as the other two followed close behind.
"Guys- the ambulance is- wh- (Y/n)!?" Shoyo gasped as he noticed she wasn't moving. "What-"
"Forget the damn ambulance! I'm driving us to the hospital!"
"Bokuto you can't drive in this state!"
"I'll do it" Sakusa volunteered.
✯✿✿✯
2 shirtless, all in pajamas and none of them wearing shoes.
Shoyo looked traumatized. He had never seen anything like this happen in his life. He could only give himself the reassurance that she'd be fine.
But the way he saw her passed out like that... there was doubt weighing on his shoulders.
Atsumu's eyes were glued to his feet, he was scared shitless and couldn't find it in him to even look to his right.
'She's fine.' He squeezed his knee for reassurance.
This was the girl that told them goodbye before they left for their party. What happened to her?
Then there was Bokuto, who was in the backseat beside Atsumu, one arm holding (Y/n), and the other over his mouth.
He was beyond terrified. His golden eyes couldn't even focus as he kept scanning her, looking for any form of assurance that she'd fine.
The way she just laid there, almost lifeless with shallow breaths made his breaths shaky. He was trembling violently and couldn't find his voice.
Sakusa took another long breath, steadying his hands. 'Calm down, you're the one driving. Relax' He had been telling himself that internally on repeat. His knuckles were white from holding onto the wheel so tight
"Everyone stay calm. We'll be there soon" He announced, trying to sound as collected as possible.
