Today was the day; Madeline would officially be crowned as the Luna of the Mystic Moon Pack. Her favourite flowers were planted all around the entire territory, with strings of garlands decorating each building and fairy lights hanging around the lampposts, all in her honor.
Matthew had even built a giant, golden fountain for her, surrounded by a garden of flowers, right in the middle of their territory. Although he was not a fan of parties at all, he ordered this to be the greatest celebration the Pack has ever had. He loved nothing more than cherishing and spoiling his little mate.
"This is all... For me?" Madeline breathed out, staring at fountain in disbelief. She looked down at the array of flowers underneath it, involuntarily taking a step back; it was all so beautiful.
He chuckled, hugging her waist from behind and resting his head on top of hers. "Doll, this is nothing compared to all the gifts you'll get at the ceremony tonight."
Her mouth dropped open as she briskly turned around to face him, wide-eyed. "What? There's more? This is too much, Matthew. I don't deserve any of it."
"You deserve the entire world, my princess. Besides, the Pack members want to give you gifts. They love you."
The expression in her eyes softened. "They do? Are you sure? I feel like they all secretly still hate me and-"
He leaned down and cut her off with a kiss, smiling as he felt her knees go weak and her heart pounding in her chest. After all this time, he still made her as nervous as she was when they first kissed. Her hands gripped onto his shirt while his arms tightened around her waist, pressing her body against his.
By the time he finally stopped his assault on her lips, she had forgotten what they were talking about. All she could focus on was the feeling of Matthew's hands on her body, each touch igniting her skin and setting her heart ablaze. She leaned in once more, craving the taste of him, but he stood up straight, his lips now too high for her to reach.
"You should be getting ready for the ceremony, it'll be starting in an hour," He said, making her pout as she peered up at him through her eyelashes. "Don't give me those eyes, doll. We'll have plenty of time for this later tonight," He added with a wink.
A light shade of pink dusted across her cheeks. "... I'll go get ready now. See you later."

"I officially declare you, Madeline Blade, as the Luna of the Mystic Moon Pack. May your life be filled with blessings and joy, and may you birth a strong, worthy heir for this Pack."

The audience applauded and cheered with joy as the elder concluded the ceremony. They all sat in a half-circle around the stage, watching the young girl get crowned as their leader. Matthew sat behind them on the stage, quietly admiring his mate.
She looked absolutely breathtaking in her long, sleeveless, light pink ball gown dress, with her brown hair slightly curled and her gorgeous features accentuated with just a touch of makeup. His mind was racing with anticipation, thinking of all the things he would do to her once they were back in their bedroom.
Madeline's gaze were focused on the crowd in front of her. As they chanted and smiled at her, she saw genuine joy and endearment in their eyes; They truly did love her. Wether she knew it or not, she changed the Pack in a way no one else could. Only she was able to melt their Alpha's ice-cold heart, and everywhere she goes, her compassionate, cheerful aura follows, bringing a smile onto everyone's face.
She bowed down to her Pack members, silently thanking them for their kind welcoming, before turning around to face her mate. Matthew couldn't help but smile as she walked over to him, beaming with happiness. She sat down, thrilled to finally, officially be by his side as the Luna of the Pack.
One by one, each Pack family came up to personally greet them, handing her hand-written cards and presents as they formally welcomed her as a part of the Pack. Matthew scowled when he saw Oliver, the butler who had an obvious crush on his mate, walk up to them, but it quickly faltered when he saw that he came with another girl.
"This is my mate, Valerie," Oliver said, reaching down to hold her hand.
Madeline smiled brightly at the couple in front of her. "That's amazing, Oliver! I'm so happy for you guys."
The pair bowed down to their Alpha and Luna and gave her a small bouquet of daisies as a gift, before exiting the stage.
Close to an hour later, only one family remained. A familiar little boy walked up to her, followed by a woman. Madeline quickly recognized her as well; she was the one who took her son away and insulted her for being human a few months ago.
The woman tentatively approached her, giving her a gentle smile. "Luna. I'm not sure if you remember me, but I would like to apologize for the way I treated you in the past. I have realized now, regardless of species or strength, everyone deserves to be respected, especially such a kind, charismatic girl like you. I hope you can forgive me, and know that I'm more than happy to serve you as my Luna."

The young girl's eyes were tearing up with joy. Growing up as a human in a world of werewolves, Madeline had never even imagined to receive this much love in her life. She nodded, getting up to give the woman a hug. "Thank you."
"No, thank you, Luna. For everything you've done, and everything to come." She handed her the last gift, before getting off the stage with her son.
"I don't even know what I'm going to do with all these gifts. Do we even have space in the house for all this?" Madeline asked, looking at the pile of presents next to her.
Her mate simply stared ahead, not bothering to respond.
"I think we should give some of this stuff away, for people who might actually need it. Matthew? Are you listening to me?" She turned over to look at him, seeing that he wasn't paying attention to her at all. Following his stare, she realized he had been staring at another woman.
She was tall, with short blonde hair and charming brown eyes. Her dress was form-fitting and bright red, with a high slit, exposing her smooth, tanned leg. Madeline had never seen Matthew stare at another woman that way; Usually he would ignore them completely, giving all his undivided attention to his mate.
Madeline suddenly felt insecure as she looked down at her flowy, pink dress and her long, brown hair. Would her mate appreciate her more if she wore something more revealing? Or maybe if she cut and dyed her hair?
Sensing a shift in her mood, Matthew looked at his mate, seeing a frown on her face instead of her usual smile. "Princess? What's wrong?"
The young girl simply shook her head. "Nothing."
"Were you saying something earlier?"
"No. Well, I forgot what I was saying."
Matthew turned his body towards her, studying her face. "Something is wrong. Don't lie to me."
His voice was gentle, yet firm. She hesitantly met his eyes, knowing that he wouldn't stop until she told him what she was thinking.
"Do you... Do you think that woman is pretty?"
He narrowed his eyes. "What woman?"
"That woman in the red dress. You were staring at her," Madeline mumbled, feeling slightly embarrassed. She didn't like coming off as jealous and insecure, but she couldn't control what she was feeling deep down.
Matthew let out a sigh as the pieces clicked together in his head. He couldn't stop himself from smiling; He found it adorable how she got jealous of another female. "Doll, I wasn't staring at her because I'm attracted to her."
"You... You weren't?"
"She just reminded me of my sister. She used to have short blonde hair and brown eyes like that, and when I saw this woman... A bunch of memories came back to me. I wasn't aware I was staring at her for so long, I apologize if it made you upset."
"Oh..." Madeline mumbled, unsure what to say.
He reached down to grab her hand, intertwining their fingers. "Why would I ever want another woman when I have my beautiful princess right here? I love you more than anything, Madeline, I couldn't even think of being with anyone else."
A smile found its way back on her face again as she squeezed his hand. "I love you too."
He leaned closer to her, giving her a gentle kiss on the forehead, before going lower and brushing his lips against her neck, planting another kiss on her bare shoulder, then on her mark, earning a soft moan from her.
"Matthew, everyone's going to see us here," She murmured, gently pushing his head away.
He sighed again, resisting the urge to roll his eyes.
"Fine." Matthew stood up from his seat, then picked up his mate bridal-style. "The ceremony is over anyway. Let's go home, and then you can show me how much you really love me, hmm?" He said, smirking suggestively.
Madeline giggled. "Okay. I'll make you a delicious cake and then tuck you into bed early so you can have a good night's sleep."
He laughed at her response. "You know that's not what I meant, angel."
"But you have a work tomorrow, right? We shouldn't stay up late again," She teased, trying to hold back her laughter.
"Of course, my princess," He replied sarcastically, knowing that as soon as they stepped into their home, he'd rip off that dress of hers and throw her on the bed.
As he was about to open the door to their house, he felt her hands cup his face, before she crashed her lips onto his. She very rarely initiated affection towards him, but he loved these surprises. Madeline was his little arsonist, setting his mind on fire and melting his heart with every touch.
Their lips moved in sync as he walked inside, slamming the door shut behind him. When he made it to their bed, she had already undone her zipper, sliding out of the dress in one swift motion. He stared at her body, his throat going dry and his eyes darkening with lust. She smiled innocently, reaching up to undo his tie before pulling off his suit jacket. For the first time, she was the one in control, and he was loving every second of it.
"I think it's time I start calling you my queen," He whispered against her lips as they delved into an unforgettable night.
