"We're back..." Destiny started but realized that everyone was already gathered in the living room.
"What's going on?" Carlisle asked grabbing a seat holding his sleeping son in his arms.
"This Irina woman." Jacob said simply.
"She saw Nessie and just ran." Bella sighed.
Alice walked back and gasped as she had a vision. Jasper rushed to her.
"Alice, what did you see?" He asked.
"The Volturi are coming for us. Aro, Caius, Marcus, and the guard."
"Why?" Carlisle asked.
"What did Irina see, Bella?" Edward asked closing his piano.
"We were just taking a walk in the woods." Bella said in confusion.
"Ness was catching snowflakes." Jacob added.
"Of course... Irina think Renessmee is an immortal child."
"What's an immortal child?" Bella asked.
Carlisle sped to the bookcase grabbing a specific book before handing it to Bella. Destiny sat beside her looking at the illustrations.
"The immortal children were very beautiful. So enchanting. To be near them was to love them but, their development was frozen at the age they were turned." Carlisle began explaining.
"So they can't learn or grow mentally?" His mate asked.
"Exactly. They couldn't be taught or restrained. A single tantrum could destroy a village. Humans heard of the devastation. Stories spread and the Volturi was forced to step in. Since the children couldn't protect the secret or see the severity of their actions. They were destroyed along with their creator."
"Why didn't the creators just run if they knew all the devastation that was going down?" Bella asked.
Carlisle shook his head, "The creators were very attached. They fought to protect them. Covens torn apart and countless humans slaughter for one child. Traditions, friends, even entire families lost." Destiny gulped pulling her hair back and taking Aiden from Carlisle.
Bella took a while but the pieces began to set in place, "The Denali's mother made an immort child."
"And she paid the price." Carlisle confirmed.
"But Renesmee isn't like those children. She was born not bitten and grows every single day." Bella pat her daughter's head.

"Can't we just tell them that?" Jake suggested.
"Aro has enough proof in Irina's thoughts..." Edward said almost unsurely.
"Wait, if Bella gets accused then we could get accused of the same thing." Destiny looked at Carlisle and he nodded.
"So we fight..." Jake said crossing his arms.
"Their offensive weapons are too powerful." Carlisle stated.
"Nobody can stand against Jane." Jasper informed.
"Alec either." Alice added.
"Who's Jane and Alec." Destiny asked looking around.
"The two Volturi guards that you saw at your house. The twins." Her eyes widened at Edward's words as her mind remembered.
"Then we can convince them." Bella gritted out.
Emmett leaned on the bookshelf "They're coming to kill us not to talk."
"You're right... They won't listen to us but maybe others can convince them. Carlisle, we have friends all around the world." Edward suggested.
Carlisle crossed his arms shaking his head, "I won't ask them to fight."
"Not fight, witness. Testify. If enough people knew the truth maybe we could convince the Volturi to listen." Edward added to his statement.
Destiny bent over in thought, "He's right. Peer pressure is a thing and it affects many people. Who said vampires were the exception.
Esme pat Carlisle's back, "We could at least ask this of our friends."
His eyes closed in thought before he nodded in confirmation.
-----
Destiny sat nervously as Aiden pulled at her hand. He was swinging back and forth on his heels.
"We could go to London, again. We haven't been there in a while." Esme suggested sitting on the table as Carlisle packed. Destiny felt a spark of jealousy at how naturally flirtatious she seemed.
That's when they noticed Sam at the window.
-----
"Alice told me to give you that. Her and Jasper crossed our lands to the ocean last night." Sam explained.
"Carlisle." Destiny's arm wrapped around him.
"They left us." He announced.
"Why?" Rosalie asked as her lips turned up into a sneer.

He shook his head folding the note back up, "She didn't say."
"Can I see that?" Bella asked before reading the note. She went silent for a bit before nodding.
-----
Destiny sat at home with Aiden waiting for them to return.
"Mommy?" He called and she looked at him. "Why did we not go?"
"It's too dangerous. Your gift is not easily seen like Nessie's."
"But..." He whined and Destiny picked him up sensing Bella and Edward's return.
"I brought Irina's sisters from the Denali clan. Kate, Tanya, Carmen, and Eleazar." Bella introduced before hugging Destiny.
"Another one?" Kate asked tucking her hair behind her ears.
"He's Carlisle's." Edward informed them and Kate gasped.
"He's precious." She complimented and Aiden walked toward her. Destiny stayed behind him not knowing this woman.
"Destiny."
"Kate." She introduced herself before grabbing the boy. He laid on her shoulder and she smiled.
--------
18.
There were 18 vampires were in our home. The variety of gifts were incredible.
"Oh wow. I can see the rainforest." Destiny stated looking around. Carlisle smiled holding her from behind.
"If Bella wasn't holding my hand, I would swear this is real." Edward said.
"What?" Bella asked curiously.
"Edward, you didn't say that your wife was a shield." Eleazar said waking into the illusion before training his eyes on Destiny.
"What's a shield?" Bella asked.
Destiny snapped out of the illusion and turned toward Kate, who was holding Bella's hand pushing purple shocks through her hand. Aiden held onto her leg looking up with wide eyes.
"Yea, she's a shield alright. That should've put her on her ass." Kate said pulling away.
"Maybe your voltage is exaggerated." Garrett offered.
"Maybe, it only works on the weak." She held her hand out confidently.
Carlisle shook his head "Garrett, I wouldn't..."
Right as he said that, Garrett fell to his knees at crackles of electricity filled the air.
"You..." He gasped, "are an amazing woman"
"And that kids, is how I met your mother." Destiny added. Bella snorted at the inside joke.
-----
Carlisle looked back just as Jacob and the newest pack members ran off.
Destiny could hear them coming closer as the group ran toward the sounds.
Carlisle was the first to talk to the strange men, "Vladimir, Stafan, you're a long way from home."
"We heard that the Volturi were standing against you and that you would not stand alone." He said in a thick accent.
"We did not do what we were accused of." The white haired man rolled his eyes.
"We do not care what you did, Carlisle." He said nonchalantly.
"We've been waiting a millennium for the Italian scum to be challenged." The other man spat.
"We do not plan to fight the Volturi."
"Shame, Aro's witnesses will be so disappointed."
"They enjoy a good fight."
Destiny looked down at Aiden and he pulled her dress.
"Up!" She picked him up and he jumped from her arms into the two men. They gasped in temporary shock.
"This child has the spunk of his father." Aiden grabbed their cheeks taking the information he needed before jumping back into his mother's arms.
"I'm aware." Carlisle pat his son's head.
-------
"Destiny." Carlisle walked into their room/office as found her snuggling her sleeping son.
The mother got up but before she could, he kissed her deeply.
"Mm... Why?" She asked running her hands through his hair.
"I miss you."
"You saw a just a few hours ago." She stated.
"I didn't see you for a week before."
"Awww, poor baby." She cooed kissing him. He smiled almost chuckling under his breath.
"Carlisle." Garnett called and her mate got up to follow him. Destiny pouted going to find Rosalie.
Before she could open the door, she saw Eleazar waiting there.
"Good luck, Mimetizzare." He whispered before walking away.
Destiny's eyebrows frowed in confusion. "Mimetizzare?"
She shook her head and just walked into Rosalie's room.

Block Dungeon
The world of Sleyn is a little doomed planet made of blocks. Its World Core is under assault from a corrupting force known as the Ostrum, and it seems unstoppable. As a last-ditch effort, the World Core forcespawns a bunch of Dungeon Cores so they can level up and push back the Ostrum. So far, all have failed. This fic is a dungeon core set in the CoreVerse. You do not have to read any other CoreVerse book to enjoy this. It is heavily inspired by vanilla Minecraft and Terraria, with a healthy sprinkling of mod influence, too. PG-13 ish, with a sprinkling of profanity and some violence, but the descriptions are pretty tame.
