《Her Final High [C.Cullen]》3. (BD)

Destiny woke up agin without her period. She was actually starting to become worried. It's never been this late. Early, yes. Late, not really.
Her head turned towards her nightstand and she grabbed the note that rested there.
At work. Esme should join you later.
~Carlisle C.
She smiled at his beautiful handwriting. It was like something out of an olden storybook. The font was perfectly suited for him.
She groaned as she began cramping. Her body tensed automatically as she turned over.
"I hate cramps." The human groaned sinking into the pilow.
-----
After an hour of self pity for her pain, she got up and skipped down the steps. Esme sat patiently on the couch waiting for her. It made Destiny yelp from surprise.
"Good morning." She greeted the vampire making her snap out of her thoughts.
"Yes, I wanted to talk to you."
"About...?" Destiny trailed off sitting next to her.
"Carlisle. He wanted me to talk to you about children." The human groaned at her words.
"Why me?" She whined.
Esme giggled, "Well, I'm not the one that requested this. Carlisle wanted me to talk to you, girl to girl."
Destiny blushed squirming, "It's kinda hard because you're his ex."
"Trust me. I won't tell him anything and I won't judge."
Destiny looked at her taking a deep breath, "I want a child with him."
Esme didn't seem that surprised from her statement. "You know that he can't give you one."
"I'm aware. I'm fully aware. I just can't stop thinking and dreaming about it. Everyone around me except you guys will have kids eventually."
Esme smiled, "I see kids every weekday. I can see the appeal of wanting to raise one. I, myself, was pregnant at one point."
Desting could feel the darkness looming around Esme, "What happened?"
"He died. Lung fever was a serious problem back then." Her eyes stared forward at nothing in particular like she was looking back into the past.
"I'm so sorry." Destiny whispered holding her.
"It's fine. I've come to terms." She leaned on the human.
"Maybe babies aren't all it's cracked up to be..." Destiny whispered curling up.
"Oh, Sweetie. I didn't mean to discourage you." Esme said quickly uncovering her face.
"It's fine, Carlisle doesn't want children anyway." Esme's eyebrow shot up.
"Who told you that?"
"Carlisle." Destiny's head tilted when Esme's shoulders began to shake with laughter.
"He's such a liar." She giggled almost falling off the couch.
"What?"

"Carlisle definitely wants children. He's just come to terms that he can't have any by normal means an he doesn't want a child to be put in danger."
"Oh..." Destiny felt her face grow hot in embarrassment that she didn't realize. The baby would be in constant danger if it hurt itself.
"No need to be embarassed. Baby fever can block logic. They're adorable and you'd love to watch a part of yourself grow up and learn." Esme explained Destiny's exact thoughts.
"Yea, I'm going to go to Charlie's. I heard he got a girlfriend." Destiny changed the subject.
"I believe that I will go shopping with Rosalie. She wanted to buy a new lingerie set." Esme explained walking towards the patio door.
"Tell Rose I said hi and that I love her." Destiny called. Her newly dyed brown hair bounced as she nodded leaving.
The human sighed finally alone again before checking everything to see if they're locked. She finished by locking the patio door. She knew Carlisle had a key and wasted no time locking the front door on her way out.
She was in a causal sundress as she walked out to her BMW. She glanced towards the silver Volvo that gotten her for her birthday.
Destiny sighed and unlocked the Volvo. She wanted to drive it at least once.
She hopped in and was instantly comforted by Carlisle's scent. She turned it on and it rumbled to life at a low purr.
"I may just enjoy this car more than I should." Destiny whispered looking back at her poor BMW
She backed out and began driving towards Forks.
-------
"Charlie!" Destiny squeal flopping on the sleeping man.
"Dest- You're gonna give this old man a heart attack." He groaned.
"Sorry, Charlie. I was excited to see you." She hugged him.
"You, too. Has Bella called?" Charlie asked.
"Not yet. They've destroyed that poor bedroom." Destiny said shaking her head. Charlie covered his ears.
"Don't need to hear or imagine that." Charlie said in disgust.
Destiny made herself comfortable drinking some coffee.
Suddenly, a pretty copper skinned woman came from upstairs. "Oh, you must be Destiny."
"And you must be Sue. Charlie never stops talking about you." Destiny said with a smile. The woman smiled in return.
"I'll leave you two to catch up. I'm gonna cook the trout in the cooler." She said before respectfully taking her leave.
"Nice meeting you! How have you been, Charlie."
"Good. You?"
"Fine." She yawned.
"You seem tired." Charlie commented.

"I'm fi..." Destiny sucked in a breath as her vision began fading out. Her ears rung violently. She could hear a thump and crash.
"Dynasty!" She could hear Charlie's voice before she came back into her body. Her eyes opened and light flooded in.
"Woah. That was..." She shook the ringing from her head and noticed that she was looking at everything from a different perspective.
"Are you alright?" He asked supporting her head.
"Yea, totally." She turned to look at Charlie, who was looking a bit paler than usual. "What happened?"
"I'm calling the hospital." Charlie announced.
"Why?"
"You just completely blacked out on me. I'm not letting you drive home."
She groaned, "Fine."
Carlisle dialed 911 and Destiny tuned him out.
Sue watched from the kitchen in shock before walking over and helping Destiny up.
Why had she blacked out?
-------
When she was taken by the ambulance, they asked Charlie a bunch a of questions while they checked her. She was requested to eat a granola bar and drink water.
"Feel any more dizziness?" The woman asked.
"A bit. I feel like I'm not in my body so it may be worse."
The woman giggled, "Reminds me of when I was pregnant."
Wait.
"What?" Destiny yelped.
"You didn't know? That's why you blacked out, Sweetie. Your blood pressure is low because of the baby." Destiny paled a few shades and a cold sweat traveled down her back. Her heart pounded furiously in her chest.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
The woman nodded with a smile, "You have a bump and your cheeks are darker. Not to mention- Ok! I got it." Destiny interrupted holding her face self consciously.
"Is she ok? Dr. Harris can check out the baby."
"Does everyone know?!" She screeched. Everyone in the ambulance looked at each other and she groaned. "I'll see myself out."
"Wait." The woman grabbed her arm, "At least get a check up. For the baby."
Destiny looked down squirming and nodded.
---------
The doctor's office was still as cold as she remembered. Destiny was terrified that Carlisle would find out and accuse her of cheating or something.
Her head laid on the bed and the doctor walked in.
"Miss. Harpool."
"It's actually Mrs. Cullen." She muttered looking around at the pictures on the wall.
"Congratulations on your marriage. You must be the lucky lady. Carlisle talks about you nonstop."
"I bet." She smiles a bit.
"Welcoming a little one, so soon?" He commented and she groaned again.
"Carlisle is supposed to be sterile. He told me so himself." Destiny explained.
"That explains all the adoptive children. He doesn't know if that's what your worried about." Dr. Harris stated.
"I-" She sighed pulling at her hair, "This is impossible."
"A miracle. You should be happy." Harris put a hand on her stomach before grabbing his clipboard. "This isn't standard so I can't do anything without your permission."
"I want to talk with Carlisle before I do anything." She stumbled from the bed and walked towards the door.
"He's in the lounge but at-" The door closed "-least get a pregnancy test first..." He sighed.
------
After a few minutes of walking around, Destiny asked the nurse to show her where the lounge was.
"I can't take you in but I can get someone out if you need them."
"Yes, please. Can you get Dr. Cullen for me?"
The nurse gasped, "You're his wife?"
Destiny nodded shyly and the nurse quickly walked inside.
The blonde waited outside rocking on her heels until Carlisle came out.
"What are you doing here?" He asked ruffling her hair. She jolted making her heart beat increase exponentially.
"I- I have something to tell you." Carlisle held his mate caressing her cheeks.
"What is it?"
"Carlisle, I think I might be... Pregnant." She muttered lowly knowing he could hear her.
"This again, Destiny. It's impossible." He sighed.
"Carlisle, I'm not joking. Not joking in the slightest. 3 doctors just told me that I'm growing a bump and I haven't had my period." Destiny explained in a pleading voice.
Carlisle's eyes widened when he realized that she was serious. "We can talk when I get home."
"No. Carlisle... Take off, please. I'm so scared." Destiny teared up.
The vampire sighed running a hand through her hair and pulling her close, "Ok. Are you hungry?"
She nodded, "Charlie called the ambulance for me."
"What happened?" He asked in concern as he began pulling off his sterilized gear.
"I blacked out." She sat at his desk as he called the rest of his patients to cancel their appointments.
They walked out of the hospital together. Carlisle carried her bridal style down the stairs.
"I'm sorry."
"Why are you apologizing?" He asked strapping her into his car.
"I dont know." She blushed as he kissed her.
"I'm not angry. I'm confused and worried." Carlisle kissed her again on the nose and she smiled.
"We're having a baby." She attempted to lighten the mood.
"Yes, possibly." He chuckled walking around to the driver side.
They closed their doors and Carlisle began driving.
