Destiny woke up and gasped. "Charlie?"
"I didn't want to take advantage of you. I felt horrible after kissing you."
"You, too...?" She asked before covering her mouth sympathetically. "I'm so sorry."
"It's fine. It just wasn't meant to be." He said miserably. The two sat in a surprisingly pleasant silence before there was a knock at the door.
"Destiny!" Alice's voice drifted through the house.
"Oh, Fuck." Destiny wrapped her blanket around herself and ran downstairs. "Alice!"
The brunette looked over and tensed a bit before looking back and forth between her and something behind her.
Destiny turned and saw Carlisle staring with an indifferent expression.
"Destiny."
She fell to the ground in shock. The human was so scared she couldn't move.
"Destiny! What-" Charlie froze as Carlisle stared at him with dark eyes.
"Carlisle, no!" Alice yelled attempting to pull him back. He growled and Charlie backed away as far as he could go.
"Destiny, do something!" The blonde tuned back into reality taking a breath.
"Carlisle, Baby, no. I didn't sleep with him." Destiny said blocking Charlie from his view.
He calmed slightly long enough for his eyes to gain their golden color back. "Destiny."
"Mhm."
He looked hurt "Why?"
"We're drinking. Billy died yesterday. I wasn't thinking rationally."
"We didn't go all the way." Charlie added only to gain a hiss from Alice.
Carlisle sighed in disappointment before turning towards Alice "We need to fill her in."
"Oh, no. Hell no. Carlisle Cullen, you don't get to waltz up in here and play the hurt card!" Destiny screamed.
Alice's hands covered her mouth and Carlisle turned towards Destiny.
"You left me. You broke your promise. You left me for almost 5 months. I kept hope for you!" She teared up. Charlie attempted to pat her back but got pushed away by her.

"I hate you both. You're destroying me from the inside out! Charlie's perusing me and I don't wanna hurt him. My mate just up and leaves without a word. I'm tired of this!" She sobbed trying to catch her breath as she began hyperventilating.
"Destiny, breathe." Alice yelped out.
"No, please. I just want it to go away. I want the hurt to go away. Get away from me." She sobbed. Carlisle grabbed her holding her as he whispered sweet nothings into her ear.
"I'm so sorry, Destiny. I'll explain everything just listen, please. Please, please, please." He pleaded in a pain filled voice.
Destiny calmed relaxing in his arms. The tears continued to roll and soak into his jacket. "Don't leave me, again. Not without telling me."
He pulled her in tighter.
"Carlisle..." Alice called. He looked up and saw Charlie pointing Destiny's gun at him.
"What the fuck is he?" Charlie snapped taking it off safety. Destiny blocked him pushing the gun down towards the ground.
"Stop. Charlie, sit, I can explain." Destiny stared at him and he stared back before sitting down.
-----
"So the Cullens are Vampires and Bella knows this."
"Yes, that's now she got hurt, a vampire kidnapped her." Destiny admitted.
"Was that a good move?" Alice questioned.
"Tell him everything. If you tell him all good, he'll get suspicious." Destiny stated, "We're cops. It's what we do."
"So they are vampire vegetarians that drink animal blood. Carlisle's the leader and he changed everyone."
"Except me and Jasper." Alice added.
"Wow." Charlie whispered.
"Don't treat us any different. We just want to live as normal humans." Carlisle stated.
"You're taking this well, Charlie." Destiny said with a slight smile.

"Well... According to you, Carlisle, Edward, and the vamps..." Alice snorted similar to Rosalie. "They saved my daughter."
"And will save her again." Carlisle added.
"I believe we got off on the..." His eyes trailed to Destiny "wrong foot."
"Yes. I believe introductions are in order. I am Carlisle Cullen."
"Charlie Swan, Police chief, Father of Bella." He rambled awkwardly.
"Nice to meet you. You have quite a lot of titles." Everyone chuckled a bit.
"Nice to meet you, too. Vampire man."
"Ok..." Destiny walked out the awkwardness as she paced.
"That was good." Alice said in her normal bubbly voice.
"So I'm swore to secrecy now?" He questioned looking around at the 3.
"Yea. Kinda." Destiny laughed nervously.
"Very well. If I have questions, I'll ask Bella." He stated walking out to his car.
"He's gonna freak out in his car." Alice said
"Hell yea. Sounds like Charlie."
"Probable."Destiny and Carlisle said at the same time.
The two mates looked at each other before looking away in varying levels of shame.
"I'll leave you two to talk." Alice whispered before walking out the patio door.
Destiny closed her eyes taking a breath to calm her nerves. "My therapy is done. I need to come in for monthly check ins, now."
"Congratulations."
"Yes. So... I'm gonna..." She shook her head and caressed his face. He smirked at bit but she was completely serious with her actions. Her hand trembled and she teared up.
"Destiny." He whispered.
"I want to slap you but I don't want you to disappear. Why did you?"
"Edward ran off and got himself in trouble with our sister coven in Denali. Jasper suggested that while we were there that we trained. Every second of the last 5 months were either training or feeding. Jasper has finally contained his thirst and is able to walk away if he doesn't inhale the scent."
"You couldn't have called me?"
"I'm sorry. I take responsibility for no contact but I'm strong. I can protect you, now." He whispered. Destiny closed her eyes as mixed feeling of anger, sadness, and love broiled to the surface.
"I don't forgive you. Prove yourself to me."
"How would I do that? Name it and it's yours."
Destiny glared at him, "Don't speak as if you're my sugar daddy or something. I just want you to prove that you won't leave me, again."
"Ok...Now you and Charlie. Did you...?"
"Nothing happened. I couldn't bring myself to cheat even if you weren't coming back. It made me sick."
"So you and Charlie just laid down together almost naked?" He looked down at her bra and shorts.
"I don't remember. I'm sorry, Carlisle." She hugged herself feeling disgusted by her actions.
"Don't cry anymore. I forgive you. It was a mistake." He whispered kissing her deeply. She relaxed into his kiss.
"I missed you so much. But no sex." Destiny stated, "Not until you prove yourself."
"Do you still have the outfit that you picked for our date night?" He asked. Destiny nods.
"Be ready by 7. I'll be back." He whispers before speeding off.
"Carlisle!" She groaned. A part of her wanted to actually stay mad but it just wouldn't happen. She craved him. Her body wanted to make up for lost time.
"Goddamnit." She sighed stomping up the stairs.

Though it's a standard novel with Reincarnation and Cultivation 'The Inheritor' is not a HAREM and it'll have Romance. The action might take the back seat in the first part of the book. About the Author This is my first novel or any attempt to write something so I'm pretty much a newbie trying to pen down the fantasies rolling in my mind. English isn't my First language so brace yourself for some grammatic potholes. But I'm genuinely working on improving my English but it won't be happening overnight as it's a process, I guess. (for the time being, I'm trying to make it readable with some Grammar checking software) Moreover, I wish to improve my writing skills as the story grows and readers help in spotting mistakes or critics might turn it into a reality.

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)
