Watching Amy talked about her newly found family, I could tell she was beyond excited about this. One could only imagine what it meant for a girl to finally getting a chance to be united with family she has never met before. I had done a little digging on Amy's background when we had our very first encounter when she was a drug addict, there wasn't much information about her except the ones which informed of her mother who was sick and in a nursing home,her druggie stepfather who died almost a year now and past schools. I never requested a further background check which would point out further about where her family came from, I had simple assumed other family and relatives were dead or unknown-that was usually the case with drug addicts. Amy telling me all of this was actually new information.

So her family were flying out here today and I had to get involved with preparation of things so that things could still be under control. Amy apparently mentioned that there were fine hotels here where her family could stay for the time being and that she'd get a taxi to meet them at the airport. Usually I would be pissed that she thinks she has free range to make such decisions but I had already decided I was going to ease up on her a bit. I already offered her a job which I was wondering if that's a good idea even though she'd be under my watch and I already told her she was allowed to go out and visit her mother at the nursing home whenever she wants. If I decided to change my mind now and put her back on lockdown and house arrest, keeping her from uniting with her family-knowing how fragile and sensitive women can be at times- she'd probably have a breakdown. I wasn't sure why the hell I cared what happened to her but I don't think I would want that on my hands-it would just be easier to shoot her- therefore I came up with a couple plans that would work perfectly for both of us. I was able to get an available penthouse suit in the apartment complex where I live reserved for her family's arrival as well as a room for her mother. I knew Amy wanted her mother out of the nursing home as soon as she was getting better and also if her family were coming here to be reunited with her mom after 20 add years- visiting her in a nursing home would not be the best thing. When I had drop Amy off at the nursing home to visit her mother yesterday, the idea came to me, 'If this girl's family came here she's going to be wanting to be close to them for however long they were planning to stay. If they were to stay at some random hotel not in close range to here, that would mean I'd have to allow her to go out and to not rise any suspicions without any form of supervision close by. That could be a big risk for us because even though we had seemed to scare her enough to be quiet and complied, I still don't trust her fully to that extent. Therefore, having them all there in the same building would make it easier for me in case she tries anything or ever let her mouth slip. Having them all here would still have me in control of things.

For a girl who hasn't had much or been involved in the type of life she had been introduced to, she sure had a lot of pride. That's what I call it-pride. I told her about my decision to get her mom an apartment at my apartment complex and a suite for her visiting family, the girl would not willingly accept it. Tried to give me hell about not wanting any charity or something along that line. She was definitely a subtle feisty one, I had to let her know who was in control and that she didn't have much say in the matter. She was too damn proud to want any help even when she was in desperate need of it, that is why I never mentioned it to her or anyone that I was the one who paid for her mother's heart procedure. I don't know why I did it but I knew I had no plan at the time to let Amy go out to work, she had begged me before to allow her to go back to work saying she needed money to saved up for her mom's procedure. The fact that the girl was more interested in helping her mother father than wanting to satisfied her own personal material wants like most young girls now would- made me feel the need to pay the medical bill. That way I could get her off my back and hopefully her mother being well again could convinced her to not messed up in the long run. I especially never mentioned it to Gio, because I know he would be asking me a lot of questions I wouldn't be in any mood to answer, even though I believe he suspected something when Amy had mentioned it at the event Saturday night but I hadn't confirmed anything, not that I intend to.

So we had managed to get Marie moved in an apartment on the same floor as mine. I had to get one that close so I could keep Amy within reachable distance. With her mother being close by she wouldn't need to go too far from her to visit her and when she is at work, she'll still be under my supervision. I had employees, prepared the apartment before we had gotten back there and when we arrived, they were also instructed to helped moved Marie clothes into the apartment which was already cleaned, furnished and stack with food stuff. Amy of course, tried to convinced me to let her stay with her mother in her apartment from now on since it wasn't that far but I told her that wasn't happening. I rather have her right here at mine, so I could always keep an eye on her know what she's up to. After all that's happened before, she getting involved with a drug dealer and her knowing all the information she did now, there was no way I'd tryst her enough to be out of sight, in case she ever feel the urge to start doing drugs again, I wouldn't be able to monitor things to prevent that if she weren't here.

My answer had certainly disappointed her but I didn't care one bit about her disappointment. What surprised me though was last night before retiring to her room, Amy had decided to thank me for everything I had done. I never thought I'd ever hear that from her considering but she definitely surprised me when she thanked me and proceeded to gave me a hug. I'm sure it surprised both us because I froze when I felt her wrapped her arms around me and after realizing what she had done, she froze as well. I had quickly stepped back from her telling her not to go and make a big deal out of it, she quickly apologised still shocked by what just happened before heading straight for her room. That was not a reaction I was expecting from her.

Knowing how much she must despise me for taking away her freedom and getting her friends locked in rehab, a hug wasn't what I would have expected though I could tell that I wasn't the only one startled by her actions.

"Do you think it was a wise idea having them all that close to you?" Gio asked me with raised brows.

"Actually I believe its the best idea yet. Its wiser to keep her close and her family as well in case she tries anything" I told him.

"You don't think that's going to rise any suspicions. The girl is living with you, don't you think her family is going to question that" Gio asked.

"I don't think that's really much of an issue to cause any suspicions about the group which is the major thing here" I replied

Oh my god

That's the only thing that has been going on in my mind since this morning. Today was the day my family were flying over from Barbados, and to say I was nervous would be an understatement.

Lucas had really helped since yesterday in making things a whole lot similar. He had gotten mom an apartment at the same apartment complex which we were and in addition he got an available family suite here to house my family when they arrived. I have no idea why he would do all of that, even though I suspect it has something with him having the money and facilities and not trusting me to be too far in case I try anything that might put him and the Cavelli group in the spotlight. I really did not want him to do this, this was something I needed to do on my own. It somehow felt like some pity or charity work but I was still thankful for his help, I knew I probably wouldn't be able to find my mom a cheap apartment to move her into in such short notice and considering her family was coming to visit, it would look terrible if they were to go visit her in a nursing home. When I rethink things and consider that Lucas didn't have to help me in anyway, I had to thank him and I even got a bit carried away and hug him. It was what you could called a spur of the moment thing, I don't know what came over me. I think it has something with me not being used to people doing anything helpful or nice for me, so the minute I received the small act of kindest that was what happened. I could tell I took him by surprise because he immediately tensed when I hugged him- hell I had even surprised myself, I had to retract and apologized before heading to my room.

I could hardly believe it when Lucas had suggested that he could get a car sent to pick up my family. And even gave me okay that I could go ahead as well but I told him that they had planned to rent a car at the airport and that it wouldn't be necessary. Lastnight, after Lucas had told me about the penthouse suite, I had called back and told them the address of the complex and they would be coming straight here. I still haven't told mom about me going ahead and finding her family and that from what I've heard they dont seem to hate her or mad at her like she thinks, nor did I told her that they were coming here. I still wanted it to be a surprise for her later. I was really nervous about meeting them but I was also nervous about mom's reaction when she found out what I did. I mean is she going to be surprise and happy or would she be mad at me for going behind her back like this and not telling her? I seriously hope not because I was only doing this for her.

I was currently hanging out with mom, we were baking together. It's been years since mom and I had done anything like this together and right now this was like a bonding session that I couldn't get enough of. It feels so good to be in a setting like this again with mom after missing out on it for so much years.

"Mom what do you think if I dyed my hair purple?" I asked as I finished pouring the batter in two tins.

"What? Purple?" Mom asked incredulously.

"Huh uh" I nodded.

"Your entire hair?" Mom asked raising a brow.

"Yeah. How do you think it'd look? I'm actually thinking about dying my hair purple" I said to her.

"Amy? Can I ask you something?" Mom asked before propping the tins in the oven.

"Yeah, What?"

"What crazy cartoon have you been watching?" Mom asked laughing.

"Mom!" I chuckled in disbelief. "I didn't see anything like that in any cartoons. Besides, I don't even watch cartoons anymore"

"I'm just curious to know where you suddenly came up with this crazy idea" mom chuckled "What kind of purple, exactly? Is it a lavender kind of purple or bright purple..."

"I'm sticking of a darkish purple. And maybe I'll even get some blue highlights" I told her.

"Yeah sure why not? And while your at it, why don't you get some green and pink highlights as well, oh or even a bright orange" mom teased chuckling.

"Mom, stop it. Stop teasing, I'm serious about this. I was thinking that I've never really done anything new or different with my hair before, so I was thinking of doing something bold and purple seems perfect" I said to her.

"You know what, I won't even try to convinced you otherwise. You want to go purple headed then go for it, as long as you aren't putting it in my hair" mom shook her head.

"No but you're going to help me dye it when I decide to" I said to her.

"Sure I'll help. Are you going to need me to dye your eyebrows purple too or any other bodily hair?" Mom laughed.

"Mom! Stop!" I chuckled. "You're unbelievable"

I was still over at mom's, we had finished baking and I had planned to introduce her to Greta soon when my phone started ringing.

"Hello?" I answered the phone.

"Amy? We're here and I'm really anxious to meet my granddaughter and see my daughter".

Hey guys, its been a while I know and for that I apologize. I hate when I haven't had the chance to update regularly as I'd like, but I've been a bit busy and didn't have any internet access for a couple days. So I've decided to make it up to you guys by giving you a triple update today, and if you're lucky enough you may even get four. Sorry for any errors, I haven't proofread it to correct them but you can point them out to me.
