《RESCUED AND RISEN》Bonus Chapter

For most of the day while being at work, I just couldn't relax or concentrate on what I was doing. My mind kept going back to our argument this morning, I hated how things were left between us. I was wrong, I definitely have to admit it and what I said to Gio was totally unfair and I needed to apologized and make it up to him. Picking up my phone I decided to call him. The phone rang for a minute and all I got was his voicemail.
"Oh Shit!" I groaned as I ran my fingers through my hair.
Gio never not answered his phone whenever I called, it was either he was dead or he was so hurt by what I did that he doesn't want to talk to me. I know it was the latter one though. Crap! I really mess up this time. I just have to make it up to him today. Shutting down my computer and packing up my things into my bag, I got up and left. I drove all the way the see Kathleen at CHANCES.
"Hey, this is a really big surprise" Kathleen chuckled when she saw me. "Its been a while since I've seen you or since you've been here. Its like married life stole you away from us"
"That's not true, I still see you guys...occasionally" I said to her. "Like today for example"
"You know I'm just messing with you Lexi" Kathleen chuckled. "So what's up? What are you doing here? Came to check up on how I'm running your store?"
"I know you're doing an excellent job Kathleen" I smiled as I looked around. "But I'm actually here today to say hi to you and to shop"
"To shop?" Kathleen said in disbelief before laughing. "You're funny Lexi".
"No, I'm serious. What's so funny about shopping at one's own store? Its best to keep the money in the business right?" I said to her. "I was hoping you have some new stock in lingerie"
"You my friend are full of surprise" Kathleen laughed. "And yeah, we did get some real hot new stock last weekend. I myself even bought a pair. Dominic loved them..."
"Oh no, I do not want to hear about you and my brother" I laughed putting my hands up to stop her.
"What? Its not like I was giving you details" Kathleen laugh shaking her head.
"And that's definitely not something I'd want to hear either" I made a face. "But I was hoping you would have something that looks really sexy"
"Something Gio won't be able to resist you in?" Kathleen asked as we made our way over to the lingerie section.
"Exactly. As well as something that'll say I'm sorry, forgive me" I said to her.

"Oh no, what happened now? Are you guys fighting?" Kathleen asked concerned.
"Kathleen, I screwed up big time. And Gio's mad at me, he even ignored my called. I'll tell you about it but not now I just need to find something that'll help save my husband to forgive me" I said to her.
"I understand. So how about we try finding the sexiest lingerie we have in here" Kathleen said as we began to look through rows of lingeries.
After going through 14 different lingerie I just couldn't settle on just one or two. I had many favourites and I just couldn't decide which exact one I'd want to wear for Gio later tonight. I had all 14 lingerie in a pile.
"So have you made up your mind about which one you want as yet?" Kathleen as turning to me.
"I have no idea about a specific one, you know what... I think I'm just gonna take them all" I said turning to the pile of lingeries.
"You're kidding right?" Kathleen said in disbelief.
"No, I'm not. I'm serious I'm taking everything. As long as my marriage is still valid and Gio and I are married, I'll still used them" I said to her. "The major issue is finding the perfect one for tonight"
"I have an idea" Kathleen said laughing. "How about you wear them all at once? I'm sure you'll definitely grab Gio's attention that way"
"You are so damn crazy" I said laughing at what Kathleen just said. "I bet I'd just give him another reason to be mad at me"
"It was my suggestion since you're having a hard time deciding" Kathleen laughed.
"I may do just that" I chuckled. "Or...I may just do without anything at all. If my plan to gain his forgiveness works, I'm gonna be left in nothing by the end of the night anyway so it shouldn't really matter"
"Well if every woman should consider that they'd never spend a dollar on lingerie" Kathleen replied. "The lingerie get their mind prepare for what's to come next"
"I know right, which is why I'm going to have to search for the perfect one later when I get home. By the time I finished looking after my apology dinner one of them must come to mind" I said to her as I glanced at my watch. "Speaking of which, if I really want this to turn out according to plan I should really get going"
"Yeah probably. The earlier you start to prepare it the better" Kathleen replied. "I'm gonna get Canisa to bag these".
After I got my bags and said goodbye to Kathleen I drove straight home. The first thing I noticed when I reached home was that Gio wasn't home. I tried calling him again and he answered this time but only spent

about ten seconds telling me he's busy at the moment and if it isn't an emergency I should just wait until he's home. I never knew he'd still be that mad at me. I decided to start on dinner I just hope it would be enough to help with my apology. I decided to make beef stew with rice for dinner, I know it wasn't exactly five star or gourmet but I believe simple yet nice was the best way to apologize.
After I had finished cooking and setting up everything I went to have a shower and change. In the end I ended up settling for the purple lingerie and slipping on a black satin robe over it.
I waited up for more than three hours for Gio to return home at the usual time he would but he was late. I guess seeking his forgiveness is going to be a lot harder than I had thought. It was a few minutes passed nine when I decided that Gio probably wasn't showing up for the night so I went to our bedroom and lay down. I was about to doze off when I heard the bedroom door opened and Gio came in. Immediately shrugging off the sleepiness I jumped up.
"Hey" I said softly testing the waters.
"Hey" Gio replied taking off his jacket.
"I was worried. I waited up for you" I said slowly getting up from the bed and making my way over to him. "I even made dinner"
"I had meeting with a client, I was busy" Gio said as he started loosening his tie. "We went out to dinner afterwards, so I'm not hungry"
"Oh" I said feeling hurt.
I spent time preparing an apology dinner for him and he's not gonna even eat any?
"I can reheat it in the morning for breakfast" I heard Gio said.
"Okay" I smiled at him glad that he didn't say he didn't want it any at all. He probably saw that I felt hurt when he said he wasn't hungry.
"Gio, I want to talk about this morning and what happened..."
"Lexi, just let it go. I don't want to argue anymore about that" Gio said raising a hand to stop me.
"I know. And I don't want to argue anymore either" I said taking a step towards him. "I just want to apologize for what happened... Baby I'm really sorry about everything, what I did and what I said... It was wrong, I was wrong. And I should've never gone behind your back like that. I just... I don't even know how to explain my actions to you but I want you to know that I'm really sorry, I was scared and I know I messed up big time. I know how you feel right now that sorry probably doesn't fix it but I don't want to go to bed mad at you and I don't want you to go to bed mad at me. I know its probably the hardest thing now to do but I'm asking you...please to forgive me"
"I already forgave you Lexi" Gio sighed.
"What? Really?" I said in shock. "I just thought that since you didn't answer my call and came home late that...."
"I had time to think things over. And I may have overreact just a bit too but I still had every right to be angry but I hate being mad at you too" Gio said to me.
"You have no idea how relief I am to hear you say that" I smiled at him. "Thank you. Can't we just kiss and make up?"
"Sure we can" Gio smiled after a while and pulled me into his arms.
"I love you" I whispered to him.
"I love you more" Gio responded before kissing me.
Before the kiss could get anymore deeper I pulled back and loosen the string on the robe to exposed my lingerie to him. Gio's eyes followed my actions and a smirk form on his lips.
"Is that new?" Gio asked.
"Yeah, I got it as apart of my apology to you. I hope you like it" I said to him.
"Sì, mi piace assolutamente la mia bambina" Gio said as he push the robe from my shoulders admiring the lingerie on me.
(
"I love it" he smiled before lifting me up hooking my legs around his waist then kissing me.
I let out a squeal and a giggle as I cling to him. This is how I love being with Gio. Gio walked us over to the bed and dropping me on before hovering over me and kissing me again.
"Did you only get this lingerie alone?" Gio asked when he pulled back.
"Actually, I got several" I replied. "Why?"
"Is this your favorite of all you got?" Gio asked.
"Yeah I guess you could say that. Also I thought you'd love this one" I said to him.
"And I absolutely love it. Its perfect" Gio said before grabbing the sides of the lingerie and ripping it in two straight up the middle.
"Oh my God! Gio, why the hell did you do that? You just completely ruined it!" I yelled in disbelief.
"Oh I know" Gio smirked. "You wanted forgiveness? Well that's me forgiving you"
With that Gio leaned down and capture my lips with his silencing my next protest.

Captain Critiques: A Grumpy Pirate Review Book
(CURRENTLY OPEN)When it comes to reviews, I'm probably as harsh as the hellhole most story ideas crawl out of. I'm blunt, sarcasic, to the point and I know what I like in a story. As you can probably guess, you don't wanna take my advice if your like an overprotective mother about your story. Who am I kidding, EVERYONE is like that about their stories. But, if you could find the courage to pry the story out of your cold, crabby hands so I can give my brutally honest opinion then be my guest. Just don't try and start a fight once I provide it. You DON'T wanna fight a pirate. .................................. I reserve the right to decline stories as this will be taking up quite a bit of my time and if I say no, I mean NO. If your blurb is unreadable I will decline it. If it includes the genres mentioned in my 'Hell No' section then I will send it back where it came from.Do NOT critique the Captain.
