《We Could Rule The World || UnOrdinary [Isen x Reader]》In an Alternate Reality

AN: Like the chapter title says, this is an alternate reality where the events that transpired in this story happened a little differently. You all have @exosehun3344 to thank for this. I honestly don't know how to continue the story, so I'm just going to post random one-shots~ Maybe in writing these I'll find inspiration for the story.
"Okay, but look at this," you shoved your phone at Isen which had a video playing, "it's a theory about Quicksilver and how his power isn't superspeed, but control over gravity! If I trained enough, maybe I could do it!" you declared excitedly.
"(y/n)," Isen didn't seem anywhere near as excited as you, "you're basing this on a fictional character and movie effects."
"Gravitational time dilation." You declared and slammed your hands on the table.
"What?" Isen looked at you with confusion written all over his face.
"Time seems to move slower near a large object because the gravitational pull is stronger and it warps the fabric of time, of course, time is relative. So if I were to create the lack of a gravitational pull around me, then I could move faster, right? Since everything else has a stronger gravitational pull and is slower, while I have a lesser gravitational pull and move faster."
Isen rubbed his face, "so you're trying to copy Sera's power through gravity and science."
"Yes!" you declared eagerly with your eyes wide with excitement, "do you think it could work?"
"First of all, I don't know enough about physics to even begin to fathom if your hypothesis is correct," Isen still looked slightly gobsmacked, "and secondly, you haven't even tried to decrease the gravitational pull on anything. It sounds more likely you'd float up into space before anything significant happened."
"Then let's try it!" you stood up eagerly and looked at Isen expectantly.
Isen leaned back in his chair, "(y/n), what is the point of all of this? Are you trying to surpass Sera?"
You immediately began backpedaling and sat back down, "oh no no no no, she can keep the top spot, I don't want it."

"Think about it though, if you manage to pull off super speed with your power, that surpasses Sera." Isen began to list on his fingers, "you'd have super speed and gravity. Technically she's got time control, but the effects look to be the same."
"I just want to do something cool," you whined and slumped dejectedly onto the table in between the two of you.
"Something flashy?" Isen almost smirked, "you're talking to the wrong person." He looked away from you to something else, "ask Blyke or Remi if that's what you're after."
"Nevermind," you stood up from your chair, "I guess this is what I get for talking to you about it."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Isen demanded and looked back to you.
"Forget it," you sighed and stalked away. You wanted to go back to your room to sulk in darkness, but you also wanted some comfort foods. You mulled it over for a bit, but you realized you had your wallet on you and decided that you would go to a store to buy some comfort foods.
You made it out of the long halls of the school and the front gates without encountering anyone. It was the weekend, so it made sense, everyone was either in their rooms or out in the city. You wandered around the city, without a place in mind, and noticed a quaint looking store with a sign that said 'Woaba Boba' and some boba drinks next to it. You shrugged and entered it, what did you have to lose?
"Welcome!" a cheerful voice greeted as you entered, "one?" You nodded and followed the girl as she led you to a booth by the window and handed you a menu. You glanced down at the laminated sheet of paper and your eyes were drawn to the boba drinks section.
"I'd suggest the mango one." You nearly jumped out of your skin when the second person made himself known. "Oh, sorry." The voice awkwardly laughed. You looked up at the owner and saw a head of black hair that was gelled down to a bowl cut.

"Oh, okay." You nodded and glanced back down to the menu. When the person didn't leave you stated, "you're John, aren't you?"
He looked surprised at your statement, "you know who I am?"
You let out a small laugh, "you're kind of infamous at Wellston. Y'know," you lowered your voice, "being the only cripple and all."
"Anyone sitting here?" he gestured to the seat across from you.
"No." You shook your head.
"Mind if I sit here?" he then asked.
You blanched, you didn't really feel like talking to people, but he already knew nobody was sitting there, "no, I don't mind. Are you waiting for someone?" It seemed unusual to you that he just happened to be here. At the same time as you. Alone.
"No, this is just my favorite place to hang out." John explained, "it's a place to get away from everyone beating you up all the time." You nodded, made sense.
"Can I take your order?" the same girl from before asked as she stood at your table with a notepad in hand.
"Mango boba for me," John answered.
"I'll have a mango boba as well," you stated. The girl nodded and turned away to take another person's order.
"I've got to say," John voiced, "it's surprising to see you here alone."
"Oh?" you raised an eyebrow at him questioningly.
"Remi, Blyke, and Isen bail on you?" he asked in amusement.
You gawked at him, "how do you know they are my friends?"
John shrugged, "you're always hanging out with them?" he made it sound like it was the most obvious thing in the world, "you hang out with the school's Queen and Jack, not to mention, you're also an elite tier. It's kind of hard not to notice you." You nodded and looked down and fiddled with your hands. "So what brings you here?"
"Just taking some time for myself," you shrugged. There was no way you were going to spill out your life problems to a cripple.
"Nice, nice." John nodded and the conversation fell silent while the TV talked in the background.
"Alright!" the waitress from before appeared again, "mango boba for you," she placed one of the drinks in front of you, "and another mango boba for you." She placed the other drink in front of John. "Enjoy!" she smiled and left.
You noticed John was watching you expectantly as you brought the straw to your lips, "what?" you asked in a manner that bordered on hostile.
"I want to see your reaction!" John grinned.
You rolled your eyes, "weird." You muttered under your breath but did your best to ignore him. You took a sip of the mango drink and nodded, "it's good."
"Right?" John agreed happily and took a sip of his own drink. Once again the conversation lapsed into silence and this time you turned your attention to the TV. The red-haired news anchor was talking about EMBER and was listing off all of their victims. You watched it in an almost bored fashion until the picture of the latest victim showed up and you almost choked on your drink. Spiky blue hair that you knew.
"I should probably get going," you put down your boba and looked for your wallet.
"Huh?" John looked at you in shock from your sudden change in attitude, "why?"
"I just remembered that I need to be somewhere." You answered and took out the money to pay for your drink.
"Oh, alright, have fun." John nodded.
"Thanks for the recommendation." You picked up your boba drink again and slid out of the booth to pay the waitress in front. You handed her the money and she returned it with a receipt. You mumbled a thanks and quickly exited the building.
