Sera groaned as the door to her room was pushed open and her roommate ran in.

"Happy birthday Sera!!" Elaine exclaimed, pulling Sera into a tight hug. "You're so lucky, the lunch ladies always give out chocolate cake to birthday kids!"

"Good morning Elaine. I guess I'm lucky but um... can you please leave so I get dressed."

"O-oh right!" Elaine quickly walked out of the room and closed the door. Having not gotten dressed for school yet either, she walked back to her room to change.

Sera looked at her phone hoping to see what she knew wasn't there, a happy birthday text from her parents.

She sighed and walked out of the room.

"Hey Sera, do you wanna walk to homeroom with me?" Elaine spoke, catching Sera's attention.

"No I'm going to the rooftop with John, thank you for offering though." Sera gave her a small smile to reassure her that she did nothing wrong.

"Oh, okay! Have fun, see you later Sera!" Elaine waved as they parted ways to which Sera weakly waved back before setting her sights on finding John.

She first started with scanning the quad just to make sure her friend wasn't bloodied and unconscious somewhere before walking over to Blyke and Isen who had just exited the boys' dormitory together.

"Hey, Sera, happy birthday!" Blyke and Isen said in unison.

"Thanks. Hey Blyke, by any chance have you seen John this morning?"

"Uhh..." he paused "yes actually, he was already heading out when I woke up. He said something about going to a store before school started and that he'd be on the roof by the start of advisory."

"Oh, okay I guess I'll start over there now then."

"I hope you have fun today! See you when we see you" Isen smiled, grabbing Blyke's wrist and pulling him away.

'Weird... I should probably get to the roof.' Sera thought to herself as she walked off.

Surprisingly, when she made it to the roof she saw John, Remi, and Arlo talking amongst themselves. John's eyes flickered over to her as the heavy door closed, a smile quickly spread across his face as he ran over and hugged her.

"Happy birthday Sera! I thought you might have been a little down not receiving a happy birthday text from them so I got you boba and food to cheer you up!" John exclaimed happily, pulling her over to where he was previously standing that had a bag with food in it and a drink beside it.

Sera's face lit up as she quickly dropped to the ground and grabbed the stuff.

"Happy birthday Seraphina!" Remi cheered, dragging Sera's attention to her.

Sera turned around and smiled, "thank you Remi!"

"I have to go make sure everyone got to class but uh... have a wonderful birthday Sera I hope you enjoy it." Arlo smiled weakly, at least trying to carry the enthusiasm John and Remi had.

"Mhm, thanks, Arlo."

Arlo walked away leaving Remi and John with Sera.

"Oh right, I also got this for Remi. Sorry about the hallway thing, I shouldn't have done that." John apologized, handing her a clear cup with pink lemonade in it.

"It's okay and thank you, John! All that matters is you attempted to make it up to me!" Remi grabbed the drink and sat down beside the two friends.

Remi had decided to run ahead of Sera in order to get something and get to sera's dorm without her seeing her.

John, on the other hand, had pulled Seraphina away from her dorm to go to his dorm.

The raven-haired male looked at the click, 'it's time'

"There it is! let's go Sera." John smiled, dragging his friend out of the dorm.

"What were you looking for?" She questioned.

John shrugged, "don't worry about it"

Sera unlocked the door and pushed it open. It was dark so she slid her hand against the wall before finding the switch and turning on the lights.

"Happy birthday!" Blyke, Isen, Remi, and Elaine all yelled in unison. Arlo also said happy birthday but it was quieter.

Sera stood there, shocked.

Ding, ding, ding she looked at her phone and her phone and saw three happy birthday messages from her parents and, surprisingly, her sister as well. She stumbled back and bumped into John who she immediately hugged and started crying.

John chuckled as everyone started running over to hug her... except Arlo who was just staring at them, unsure if it was okay for him to join after what he did to both Sera and John.

Sera and John looked over at him and signaled for him to join, John even shifting so Arlo would be closer to them.

"HEY ARLO I BET I CAN DRINK MORE THEN YOU" John challenged as he slammed a couple of bottles of alcohol on the table.

"Where did you even get that?" Arlo stared at him.

"Unimportant now come face me" John smirked, "unless you're scared" Arlo sighed and walked over.

"HEY! You're underage you shouldn't be drinking!" Remi scolded.

"Watch me" John stuck her tongue out at her and took the cap off making Sera chuckle.

Arlo, now drunk as all hell, was suddenly a completely different person. John was a little more than tipsy but could still comprehend what was happening.

"Hey, John *hic* your eyes are really pretty *hic* y'know" Arlo slurred his words as he stumbled over to him and fell, John rushing to catch him.

John laughed, "someone can't hold their liquor~"

"BLYKE GET THE CAMERA WE GOTTA RECORD THIS!" Isen yelled at Blyke who immediately pulled out a camera and started recording.

Arlo continued flirting with John who was now trying to get the blond off of him, John is also was blushing but no one can tell if it's because of the alcohol or Arlo.

Blyke and Isen were laughing their asses off as they followed them around with their camera.

Sera, Remi, and Elaine were laughing as well but were also talking to each other between laughing fits.

"Hey, John" Remi called, John immediately turned his head to look at her "get your drunk boyfriend over here so we can eat cake and open gifts!" John's faced flushed as he opened his mouth to protest only to be cut off by Arlo realizing he wasn't focused on keeping him away and pushing him to the ground.

"JOHN COME ON WE'RE WAITING" Blyke called.

"IM TRYING ASSHOLE" John hissed as he pushed Arlo off of a sprinted over to the group, Arlo close behind him.

He sat down with the others not even bothering to push Arlo away when he wrapped his arms around John's waist.

"J-John-" Blyke slapped a hand over his mouth and just pointed at Arlo, knowing he'd start laughing if he continued talking.

John looked at Arlo, "you're kidding me."

"He fell asleep! Guess that means he has to sleep in your room" Blyke laughed, hitting the ground.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, n..." John continued repeating "no" as Blyke took his key.

"We should head back to our rooms, bye Sera" Blyke smiled.

"uh real quick..." Sera cut herself off as everyone looked at her "...thank you for the best birthday ever!" She smiled.
