"Ames you're sick, you're not going to work" Zoe said to me

"But the boys have a match" I said

"And you have a really bad cold"

"How about a comprise?"

"Okay I'm listening" she said

"You've never watched Eric play and I really wanna get out the house so, let's go to their match" I said

"You don't support spurs but you're very eager to watch them play" she said

"I just need to get out" I said

"Fine we can do that" she said

"Thank you, ill text Mauricio to get us tickets, and we can ask my mom to follow and James and just make it a day out" I said

"Yes we should, it will be nice" she said kinda getting into the idea of it

"So big night tomorrow" I said and she just looked at me confused

"Eric is cooking for you" I said

"Okay he's done that before"

"Yea but you must know what it means" I said

"Oh, oh wait I haven't actually thought about it" she said

"You don't have to if you don't want to or don't feel ready" I said

"Yea I know that, I do feel ready but what I'd I chicken out last minute and I've hyped it up so much for him and he gets disappointed" she said

"Zo you're allowed to say no at any point, before and during and Eric loves you he would never make you do something you don't want to"

"I know"

"And this is something you should be doing because you want to and not because you want to make him happy"

"I know all of this and I really want and it's normal to be nervous right?"

"Yes it is, it's your first time and you don't really have to do a lot he's done it before so you know just talk to him and if you don't feel comfortable or not enjoying it just tell him, communication is key"

"Alright communication is key" she said "but what do I wear?"

"What ever you would normally, but for underwear something cute but not too extra so he doesn't think that you planned for this" I told her

"But I feel like I don't have any cute underwear" she said

"Let's go shopping" I said

"You're sick"

"No im feeling so much better" I said

"I know what you're doing"

"What?"

"You haven't talked to Dele since he was here and you want to distract yourself with anything and everything because you're very unsure where you guys stand right now" she said

"Wow you didn't really have to pop off sis"

"Just text him"

"We've texted, he's asked me how I'm doing and stuff" I said

"Yea but have you talked or said anything more than that?"

"But that doesn't have to mean anything"

"Just talk to him Amelia" she said

"Lets go shopping" I said as I got up

"Ames we're not doing that" she said

"Come on it'll be good to get out" I said

"Fine, but only if you text Dele and ask to see him after the match" she said

"Fine, I will do that right now" I said "and you can get ready" I said as I got my phone out

She sighed before getting off the couch to go change. After texting dele I got up to get changed too, but I was feeling extremely anxious about seeing him.

We both quickly got changed before heading downtown to go shopping. I was really exited but I also was exited to get my mind off of things.

"Where do we start food or shopping?" Zoe asked looking at me

"Shopping we gotta work up that appetite" I said

"Okay I actually need some new pyjamas"

"What you need is cute underwear" I told her

"Fine but the pjs because I really need some" she said

"Fine"

We were sitting at Nandos and had just ordered our lunch.

"No but in all seriousness, Im feeling really anxious about talking to Dele" I said

"Why, the quicker you clear the air the better"

"I know but I'm nervous and what If it doesn't go well"

"You're the one that told me it's okay to be nervous" she said

"I know, how are you feeling?" I asked

"I'm feeling pretty good actually" she said

"So we're mentally prepared and physically?" I asked

"Yes we are prepped and ready" she said

"That's good, and you know you're allowed to say no at any point and if something doesn't feel right you should tell him, and do not forget protection we're not trying to have babies" I told her

"Yes mother" she said rolling her eyes "but seriously thanks for kinda keeping me calm and helping me"

"You don't have to thank me, that's what best friends are for and honestly I don't know what I'd do without you" I said to her

"Wow trying make me cry in Nandos and all" she said to me which just made me laugh.

"Hello Zoe, it's been so long" my mom said giving Zoe a hug after arriving with James and his friend Matthew.

"Same goes for you Amelia, you've practically moved out" she said

"Maybe its time" I joked

"No I can't let my baby leave" she said hugging me

"Excuse me?" James asked which just make us laugh.

We all sat down and we were talking just about anything really before the match started. We was mostly talking during the game not a lot was happening after Kane's goal in the 26th minuet. I don't think any of us were really paying attention to the match, it was really nice having the closest people in my life gathered and just talking. I really enjoyed it actually. Soon the match was over and the boys had won 1-0, we continued talking while we were waiting for Mauricio and the boys.

"Hey" Mauricio said as he walked In giving my mum a peck

"Get a room" James said which just made my mum laugh

"Amelia how are you feeling, any better?" He asked me

"Yea much better" I said

"She's lying she's still very sick" Zoe said

"Hey guys" Eric said as he walked in

"Hey" Zoe said lighting up when she saw him, they were so adorable together.

We were all chatting waiting on Dele to come and for every minuet that passed I started to get more and more anxious.

I was on my phone when I heard James saying hey to someone and I looked up to see Dele. When I saw him I wasn't feeling as anxious any more just seeing his face calmed me down.

"Alright now that the troops are gathered time to go home" my mum said as she stood up

Her, Mauricio, James and Mathew left after saying their byes and good nights, Zoe and Eric followed suit, leaving me and dele.

"We should get going" he said reaching out for my hand.

"Yea I'm quite tired" I said as I took his hand

"How are you feeling?" He asked me

"Still sick"

"Poor thing, maybe we can pick up something for you to eat" he said

"Yea we can do that" he said

We had a bit of small talk while getting food and getting to his house. The tension was slowly building and we could both tell that we were anxious.

"So when you texted me you said you wanted to talk" he said as we sat down to eat

"Yea I just wanted to talk about the whole Ainsley situation and how it actually made me feel, because last we spoke I was really sick and I wasn't bothered to argue and it's been bothering me for awhile now" I said

"Okay what has been bothering you?"

"It mostly comes back to the fact that you don't trust me around any boy and it really makes me feel crappy" I said

"I never intended to make you feel bad and it's never that I haven't trusted you it's always the guys I don't trust and we both know Ainsleys got a thing for you and I know what guys can do" he said

"Even if you don't trust them you should trust me enough to know that I would never lead them on or if anything was about to happen I'd stop it right away" I said

"I know you would and I think it's just my insecurities and you've said before that you'd never date a spurs player and I just assumed when Ainsley came along you'd rather that" he said

"But I've told you so many times that you're the only guy I want to be with"

"I know, I know and it's something I'm gonna have to improve on" he said

"Yea and obviously we both have things we could improve on and I just wanted to make sure you knew how I felt" I said

"Thank you for telling me, I'm glad you did because I never want to make you feel that way ever again" he said as he came around that table and hugged me.

"I'm sorry" he said while hugging me

"Don't say sorry" I said looking up at him

He leaned in for a kiss but I quickly turned to my cheek.

"I'm really sick and I don't want to get you sick too" I said

"I don't care" he said right before kissing me

After we both sat down and finished our food before going upstairs to watch a movie in bed.

We were all sitting and eating breakfast at the training grounds and I wasn't really paying attention to what the boys were saying. I was contemplating on weather I should go home or not. I still wasn't feeling that well and all I wanted to do was sleep.

"Amelia" I heard Eric say

"Yea?"

"Yesterday when you were with Zoe did you notice anything weird?" He asked

"No, why?"

"Well when we were on our way home, we were watching a video on her phone and a message popped up and it was from someone named Leon and that he'd see her tomorrow and the hotel he was staying at, and I asked who he was and she kinda got shifty and never really answered. And I'm not assuming anything here but"

"You're assuming" winks finished off Eric's sentence

"Maybe its just a friend or family" Kane said

"Probably" son said

"It's not like the virgin would cheat" Winks said and I just glared at him

"Don't talk about her like that" Eric said

"It's nothing don't get worried or anything, just talk to Zo, it's not my place to say" I said to him.

"Well I'm still feeling pretty sick so I'm just gonna head home" I said

"Is everything okay?" Dele asked me

"Yea I promise, just really tired and sick" I said to him

"Okay, I'll see you later?"

"Yea sure" I said giving him a quick peck before getting up.

"You practically running away doesn't help me feel better" eric semi yelled as I walked towards the door.

I ordered a Uber as I quickly got changed into the clothes I came in. I was anxious the whole car ride to Zoe's apartment.

I took a couple deep breaths before entering her apartment and no one seemed to be home until I entered the bedroom. Zoe was in there sleeping and I had to wake her up.

"Zoe, wake up" I said as I got into the bed

"What?" She asked kinda waking up

"Wake up"

"What do you want?" She asked now fully awake

"Leon is back In town" I said

"Wait did he write to you?" She asked shocked

"No Eric told me, are they all here?"

"It's just Leon and my sister right now but my mom and dad are coming in a couple hours" she said

"And you've never mentioned your family to Eric?"

"I have just not their names, you know how they are Ames, they can never meet him" she said

"Maybe things will have changed" I said trying to reassure her

"No you know exactly how they are" she said

Both of us got dead silent when we heard a knock on the door. Zoe then got a text and she looked to see it was from Leon.

"We're at your apartment, are you not home?" He has asked

Zoe quickly texted back saying she was at a lecture and she's come by their hotel after.

We continued being silent a couple minutes after Zoe had sent the text. I tiptoed out her bedroom to the front door and they were lucky gone.

"The coast is clear" I said

"We need to clean this apartment" she said

"Zoe it's already clean"

"No it's not it's filthy in here"

"Zoe it really is not"

"I'm going to go brush my teeth and you start moving the furniture so we can clean under them and then we'll work our way upwards" she said

"They're not gonna look under your furniture" I said but she just gave me a look "Fine I'll start" I said to her.

She walked off to the bathroom as I began moving the sofa.

We spent the next few hours cleaning Zoe's apartment from top to bottom and I was exhausted.

"Okay what now? What do I tell Eric, how do I cancel tonight's dinner without him being suspicious?" She asked

"We both know the only solution and I think it's time Zo" I said to her

"But I don't want it to be time"

"I know and how bad can they be to Eric?" I asked

"Really bad Ames and you know that" she said

"It's up to you, but are you sure they don't already know?" I asked

Our conversation was interrupted by a call from my mum.

"Hey mum"

"Hey Amelia, I was wondering if you have plans tonight"

"No, why?"

"Well Zoe's family are in town and they wanted to have dinner, since its been a while" she said

"Please say sike right now"

"I wish darling, here talk to Zoe" I said as I gave her the phone

I could only hear Zoe's side of the conversation and she didn't seem that happy about this whole thing. She passed the phone back to me

"Hey" I said

"Hey, If you want to bring Dele then that's fine and you can tell Zoe she can bring Eric I think it'll make things better" she said

"Yea I'll tell her that, I'll see you tonight"

"I'll see you then" she said before hanging up

"My mum said you could bring Eric" I said as I tried to make her feel better "as I said earlier are you sure they don't already know?"

"Maybe, I'm not sure" she said

"What are you going to do?" I asked

"I'm going to call Eric" she said

I just nodded before texting dele asking what he was doing for the evening. He said he didn't have anything planned so I asked if he wanted to join me for dinner not really telling him the full story. He agreed, I told him to come to Zoe's before so we could all go together. I looked over to Zoe who was just currently curled up in to a ball and looked defeated.

"How are you doing" i asked

"Not great" she said "Eric is coming over"

"That's good, so is Dele, we have like an hour and half to get ready, maybe you want to shower?" I asked

"Yea I should do that, If Eric comes don't tell him I wasn't to be the one to explain" she said and I just nodded

"I'll pick a outfit out for you" I said as I watched her walk towards the bathroom

About an hour later Zoe was in the living room with Eric and I had just got out of the shower.

The thing with Zoe's family is hard to explain, if you could think of the most rude, evil rotten to the core people on this planet that would be Zoe's family. They are posh and constantly put down everyone because they think that they're better then everyone. Zoe is the only that doesn't want to be apart of the family business she's the only one with a genuine heart. Her family would disapprove of any guy that isn't from a wealthy family. Even tho Eric has money he wouldn't cut it and I knew Zoe's fear was being forced to choose him or them.

I have my own complicated history with them, me and Zoe met when we were 15 but we didn't get close until we turned around 16 and we were inseparable. Her family liked me at that point but then when I turned 17 me and Leon started getting close and ended up dating and we held it a secret for 6 months until Zoe found out and then we stoped talking for a long time. Me and Leon broke up right before I was done with my A-levels, he was going to the us with his family and I was going to Paris for a year. Me and Zoe eventually made up after a couple of months and before I went to Paris and we've since been inseparable. That was the longest we went without talking and I haven't seen Leon since I came home. Leon was my first true love and I didn't know how to feel now that he was in town.

"Amelia, Dele is here and we need to leave soon" Zoe said

"I'll be out in a minute" I said

Zoe has laid out a dress for me and it really wasn't my style but we were trying to impress Zoe's family. I quickly put on the dress and brushed my hair, I quickly ran over it with my straightener.

"How do I look?" I asked as I exited Zoe's bedroom

"Gorgeous" Dele said

"Thank you" I said as I gave him a peck

He was wearing a suit and he looked so good in it and I just wanted to look at him all night.

"You look good too" I said smiling at him

"Okay what ever we're gonna be late" Zoe said visibly upset

"What are we even doing? A double date?" Dele asked as we headed towards the door

"Zoe's parents are in town and her family and mine are having dinner together and you're moral support" I said

"Moral support for what, you and Zoe have been friends for so long you know her family, why do you need moral support?"

Zoe just looked back at me knowing exactly what I meant.

"Less talking more walking we cannot be late" Zoe said

"Zoe take a deep breathe it's going to be alright" Eric said.

She just glared at him before putting on her shoes and walking out the door. Eric just looked back at me confused.

"Just when we get there be polite, no inappropriate jokes, be on your best behavior. Just keep a low profile, this is really stressful for Zoe" I explained to them

They just nodded before all of us exited the her apartment. Eric was the one driving there and we kept quiet the whole way there. Just a lot of tension and the radio on in the background. I could sense how anxious Zoe was about this whole situation. We pulled up to the house and my heart was beating out of my chest at this point.

"'Maybe this is a bad idea, we should go home" Zoe said

"Zo it's gonna be fine, deep breathes" I said

Eric took her hand in his trying to calm her down.

We all got out of the car and walked towards the house. I could hear my heart beating in my ears, every step we took closer to the house the louder it got. Zoe looked back at me before knocking on the door and I squeezed Deles hand tighter.
