Amelia's POV~

"What?" I asked in shocked as I looked at the iPad screen as I was laying in the hotel bed

"I fucking know, but like he probably thought I was asleep, he must of" Zoe said

"What if he thinks you just didn't answer?" I said

"Shit, what if he thinks that?" She said starting to panic

"I don't think so"

"What if he doesn't even mean it?"

"Stop over thinking I know he means it"

"How do you know?"

"I know Zo" I said

"What do you know?" Dele asked as he entered the room

"Nothing" Zoe said

"Still dislike me?" Dele asked

"Still think I'm a slut?" She asked

"I never said that you were a slut" Dele protested

"Whatever, I'll talk to you later Amelia"

"Yea okay, bye" I said as I blew kisses to her

"Was it about the fact that Eric told her that he loves her?" Dele asked

"Where you eves dropping?" I asked

"No it's just Eric told me" he said

"What did he say?" I asked

"Oh look who's nosey now" he said

"Bami" I said as I batted my eyes at him

"He knows she wasn't asleep when he said that, but he didn't expect her to say it back, he doesn't even expect her to feel it right now" Dele said

"He told you this?"

"Yes we do actually talk about stuff" he said

"Whatever" I said rolling my eyes

"Is she gonna hate me forever?"

"No she's not she's just gonna need time, so don't push her buttons and stuff"

"I'm not pushing her buttons" he said

I just rolled my eyes at him and didn't say anything else.

"You have a match tomorrow" I said

"I know " he said

"Don't you get tired?" I asked

"Of what? Football?"

"No just all the traveling and never having a break"

"Football is my passion I didn't get this far just to have a break, you know"

"Obviously, I know. But don't you ever feel like you've missed out, you started playing professionally at a young age, you didn't get to experience it all" I said

"I don't quite see what I 'missed out on', I'm living my dream every single day, most people don't get to do that and without football I have no idea where I'd be if I'm being honest. So no I don't feel like I've missed out and trust me I am experiencing it all" he said

"Okay I guess that's fair"

"We should get going" he said

"Are you angry at me?"

"No why would I be?"

"I don't know it's just your tone kinda changed" I said looking down at me feet

Dele cupped my face and kissed me.

"Don't think about it" he said

I just nodded and pulled him into a hug.

"Alright let's go to bed" he said as he got under the covers.

I just nodded in agreement

Spurs had just beat Tranmere 7-0. The boys obviously seemed to be in form it was quite a show. After walking back into the locker rooms dele pulled me into a hug. And I could feel the staring coming from the other guys and Mauricio. I felt uncomfortable I didn't quite enjoy PDA or anything of the sorts.

"Not here" I whispered to dele as I got out of his grasp

He let go of me before I walked over to tonight's goal scorers and congratulated them. I then walked over to Mauricio that was sitting down.

"Your boys seem to be doing well" I said

"Yea but Tranmere is a lower side and I'd be much more happier if the boys preformed like this In the league" he said

And I just kinda nodded as I watched the boys all talking and celebrating.

"What's going on between you and dele then?" He asked

"What do you mean?"

"He doesn't look too happy" he said

"I don't like PDA so I'm not gonna be standing here in front of everyone kissing on him, I just don't like people looking and all"

"But have you told him that? Because if you haven't it might be interpreted wrong when you don't want to be hugging him but you don't mind hugging Aurier, Llorente, Kane and then boys"

"No I think dele understands and if I'm hugging them everyone knows it's in a friendly way but when I'm hugging Dele then all of a sudden it's more then just congratulatory" I said

"Yea but what did you expect? Everyone knows you're dating"

"Whatever I'm just gonna go out to the bus I'll see you there" I said before getting up.

I helped Steve and the guys load some stuff on to the buss.

I then proceeded to take a seat and put my headphones on and closed my eyes so I could avoid socializing for the trip home.

Today was a day off for the boys and for me so I was quite relieved that I could sleep in and just relax all day. I had made plans with Zo, I was bringing food and then we'd just have a proper day in. As I was about to get out of bed I got a call from dele.

"Hey Bami" I said answering the phone

"Hey, did you just wake up?" He asked laughing a bit

"Yea actually I'm still in bed" I said which made him laugh

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to do something today? Maybe go out or just anything really" he said

"Oh Dele i just made plans with Zo I'm so sorry" I said feeling guilty

"No it's okay I understand"

"Maybe later I can come over and we can do something then" I asked

"Yea just call me or text me then"

"Yea sure" I said

We said out byes and I got out of bed, after getting ready and putting on clothes. I went downstairs to greet my family but no one seemed to be home.

I then decided to take the tube instead of my car, but I got off a couple stops early so I could buy snacks and lunch for us. I went into Tesco and I got both of our favorite snacks and drinks. I was walking out the store looking down at the bags I was carrying, knowing I had to get lunch for us too. I was dreading the walk over to Zoe's, from where I was it would be a 10/15 minute walk. But with these bags it would be 10 times tougher walking there. As I was looking up i realized that I was walking into someone and it was too late to stop it.

"Shit I'm sorry" I said to the man that I had just walked into

"Watch it next time then" he said as he turned around

"Oh hey" I said as I realized it was Maitland-Niels

"Oh sorry I didn't know it was you" he said

"Yea I kinda understood that" I awkwardly laughed

"You need help with your bags to your car?" He asked

"No im walking actually" I said

"Oh okay, where are you heading, let me give you a ride" he said

"There's no need for that, I have to pick up food and stuff, I wouldn't want to waste your time" I said

As much as I wanted a ride I was unsure if I wanted to go with him.

"No worries, how about we put these bags in the car and go where ever you were heading for lunch" he said taking a couple of the bags out my hands.

"Okay"

We walked to his car that was parked further up the street to put the bags in. We then walked over to the restaurant I was getting food from. None of us were talking and it was awkward to say the least.

He sat down as i went to order me and Zoe's lunch.

"You live around here?" He asked me

"No not really, my friend does, I'm going over to hers" I said

"Oh so all the bags you were carrying and this isn't for dele then" he said

"No" I said while awkwardly laughing

"But you're still seeing him?"

"Yes I am, I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong idea with all of this"

"No, no I kinda understood you two were still together, but I know your dad and it felt like a nice thing to do"

"Yea it's very kind of you actually, you didn't have too"

"No worries don't think about it"

"So do you live around here?" I asked

"No actually, I had just got done with a meeting just down the street from here"

I just nodded not sure what to say.

"So your dad told us you're an arsenal fan but you work over at spurs?" He sort of questioned me

"Yea I've always supported arsenal and I always will, but my stepdad works at spurs and my mom asked me if I could do this because she wanted me to be in better terms with my stepdad and i knew it meant a lot to her so I decided to do it, and when you're around people for so long you grow closer to them"

"Okay, I understand you and Mauricio is your stepdad right?"

"Yea, I wondering, you said that my dad mentioned I was a arsenal supporter, does he talk about me a lot?"

"Yea quite a lot actually, ever since you came in to see us that day, he mentioned you came over for dinner with your brother and stuff like that" he said

Before I had the chance to answer my name was called up so my food was ready.

I got up and got the food before we started walking towards Ansleys car. We didn't talk that much but it wasn't as awkward as it was earlier. When we had arrived at Zoe's I thanked him for the ride there as he helped me get my bags from the boot of the car.

"I'll see you around Amelia"

"Yea I'll see you around" I said before walking into Zoe's building.

I walked in to Zoe's apartment and there seemed to be no sight of her.

"Zoe?" I called out as I put the food down in the kitchen. She was not it in the living room either and I walked into her room to see her with Eric sleeping peacefully.

I didn't know weather to disturb or just wait for them to wake up.

"Why you just creeping?" Eric asked while sitting up

"I had plans with Zoe, she texted me like 2 hours ago" I said

"Yea we accidentally fell asleep again"

"Oh okay"

"What's going on?" Zo asked while waking up

"I got the food I'll just wait in the living room, I'm gonna start eating if that's okay" I said

"Yea I'll be out in a minute" Zoe said

I just nodded before leaving to go to the living room. I got the food I had bought, before I started to eat I put on some YouTube. It was a random video but I wanted something to watch while eating. After a couple minutes Eric exited her bedroom.

"So you slept here?" I asked

"Yes I did" he said with a small smile

"So things are going well"

"She'll be out in a second, I'm gonna get going" he said not answering my question at all

"I'll see you around" I said

"See you"

I continued eating and watching the video before Zoe came out.

"So you guys doing good?" I asked

"Hey, I'm fine thank you for asking" she said sarcastically

"Okay now tell me" I said

"We're taking it one step at a time, you know how much I like him and maybe we rushed into things last time but we're just taking it as it comes, step by step" she said

"Have any of you said the big L word?"

"Well he said it that night as you know but, since then no and he doesn't know that I know" she said and I just nodded. I deliberated on wether to tell her that Eric knew she wasn't asleep. But I didn't want to stress her out so I decided not to say anything.

"How about you and dele?"

"It's going pretty well actually, I'm going to see him tonight" I said

"You won't believe what happened today" I said

"What?"

"Ran into Ansley Maitland-Neils, he then offered me a ride because I was carrying a lot of bags, it was kinda of weird honestly" I said

"Why?"

"I don't know I'm probably overthinking it" I said

"He has a thing for you"

"Yea I know he asked if I still was with dele, but I told him yea"

"That's good, hope he gets the hint now" she said

"Yea but enough about boys what are we gonna watch?" I asked

"We never finished pretty little lairs" she said before getting up to get her food

"Has he answered yet?" Zoe asked me as she was getting ready

"No, is he mad at me or something?" I asked

"No why would he be?"

"I don't know he hasn't answered my texts" I said

"Eric is at his house all the other guys probably are too so he's probably not even seen your texts" Zoe said walking out from the bedroom

"So I'm picking up Eric you should just go over I'm sure he's gonna be happy to see you" she said

"Are you sure?"

"Yea I'm positive" she said

"Are you sleeping over at Eric's?"

"Yea I think so"

"Okay"

"Wait let me just text Eric that we're coming over and to tell dele to answer his phone" she said

"I don't want to seem desperate" I said

"You won't trust me"

We both finished getting ready before heading out to go to deles house. We were listing to music on the way there just jamming out. As we were getting closer to deles house I kept on looking at my phone to see if dele has replied to my texts. I went in on our conversation and it said '

"He left me on read" I said to Zoe

"What? When?" She asked

"About 20 minutes ago"

"He probably forgot to answer or typed out his response and just forgot to press send, I've done that so many times, so have you"

"Yea probably" I said hoping that that was the case

We pulled parked the car across from deles house and I had to take a couple of deep breaths before I could step out the car.

We walked up to the house and knocked then we waited for someone to come open. The finally opened and it was Eric. We said our hi's and he then greeted Zoe with a hug and a kiss.

"I'm gonna go into Dele" I said

"He's not home" Eric said stopping me from going in

"What? But all the guys are here" I said pointing at their cars

"Yea but dele went out" Eric

"Why are you lying?" Zoe asked looking at Eric

You could see the panic on Eric's face he didn't want to lie you Zoe but he was hiding the truth.

Then Deles brother Harry came from nowhere and for a second he didn't say anything.

"Dele doesn't want to see you" he said

"What? Why?" I asked confused. He just scoffed before saying "you should leave"

I was trying to look past Eric and Harry to see if dele or just someone. I didn't manage to see anyone and it was silent in the house and they probably were all listing.

"Let's just go none of this is worth it" I said before turning around and walking to the car.

"Why doesn't he want to see her" Zoe questioned Eric and they got into the car

"He didn't tell me I swear, he said to say he's not home and nothing else, he knew that I'd tell you and you'd tell Amelia so he never told me, I don't think he's told anyone but Harry" he said

"Is it something I did?" I asked

"No I don't think so, I don't know honest to god" he said

"Can we just go home?" I asked

"Yea of course" Zoe said before starting the car

"Can I sleep at yours tonight?" I asked Zo

"Yea of course, I can stay with you too" she said

"No it's okay, honestly I just kinda want to be alone"

"Are you sure?" She asked

"Yeah"

"Do you want to eat dinner with us?" Eric asked

"No there's a bunch of left over from today I'm just gonna eat that or something" i said

"Ames if you need anything you can tell us right" Zoe said trying to make me feel better

"Yes I know and I'll tell you if I need anything, I promise"

"Good"

For the rest of the car ride to Zoe's apartment I was quite and as soon as I got there I changed into some of Zoe's sweats. Before laying down on the couch and putting the tv on and just watching whatever was on at the time.

It was later in the evening and I was laying in bed still hoping that dele would text or call. But that text or call never seemed to come.
