Today was the Arsenal-Tottenham league cup fixture. I had woken up in Zoe's bed and the events of last night just flooded back to me and I remembered the fight with Dele and everything that had happened. I looked at the time on my phone and it was 7 am. I really didn't want to get out of bed, but I had no choice. I went up to go to the bathroom, after getting done, I put on a pair of Zoe's leggings and a hoodie. I went out to the living room to see Zoe and Eric still asleep on the couch. I turned on the lights but none of them woke up.

"Zoe. Eric" I said as I started to lightly tap on them

"What? What's going on?" Eric asked as he sat up

"You have a match today you have to go to the training grounds" I said

"What's the time?" He asked

"7.30"

"Could I maybe get a ride?" He asked and I sighed

"What's going on?" Zoe asked as she sat up

"I was just about to wake you up" I said

"What are you doing here?" She asked looking at Eric

"I accidentally fell asleep I didn't want to, but you fell asleep and I just wanted to be near you I didn't mean to fall asleep" he said in a bit of panic

"Just go wash up, we have to leave soon" I said

He just nodded and got up to leave to the bathroom.

"When did you come here?" Zoe asked

"Last night you guys were asleep so I just went straight to bed" I said

"Oh okay"

"I talked to Dele" I said

"How did that go?" She asked

"Well it's a very very long story, I'll tell you about it later" I said

"Wow that bad?"

"Ruby was there and that was just the beginning" I said

"Wow, now I definitely have to hear this story" She said

"and I need to hear about this story" I said pointing towards the bathroom where Eric was.

"Dinner tonight?" She asked

"I have the spurs match but after that?" I asked

"Won't that be late?" She asked

"Yes but still"

"Fine" she said with a sigh

"I have to go, but I'll see you tonight" I said to her

"Yes I'll see you then"

"Eric hurry up" I yelled

"I'm here!" He said as he exited the bathroom

"I'll call you?" Eric asked Zoe

"Yea sure" she said not even looking up at him

I just grabbed Eric by the arm and dragged him towards the door.

"We have to go or I'll be late" I said

"Yes im almost done stop stressing me" he said as he put on he's shoes

After he was done we rushed down the stairs and toward my car.

"So you were with winks" Eric said as I drove off

"Yes so what?" I asked annoyed

"No im just confused to why you're not talking or looking at Dele but you hang out with winks"

"I did talk to Dele but he was too busy hanging out with ruby" I said

"What?"

"You heard me"

"Dele was hanging out with ruby" I said

I was just so frustrated and angry and I understood that I wasn't tell Eric the whole truth but I was too angry.

"I'm so confused" he said

"Let's just drop it" I said

"Aren't you gonna ask how things went with me and Zoe?" He asked

"No not really" I said

"Ask me" he said

"Fine how did things go?" I asked

"Not so great"

"So that's what you wanted to tell me?"

"It didn't go great, but I'm not giving up on her. I'm in love with her and I know what I did was terrible and stupid. But I can't live without her just being next to her last night. I was so happy even tho I knew she is angry at me and doesn't want to talk to me. I just felt complete being next to her"

"So you made me ask you just for you to tell me that it didn't go good?" I asked

"That's not the point I'm not giving up on her Amelia" he said

"I didn't say anything"

"But your face said it all"

"My face didn't say or do anything" I said

"Whatever, how is everything with you and Dele?" Eric asked

"He has clearly chosen ruby"

"What?"

"She was at his house and he was with her and I'm just done"

"Done with him and do you mean ruby?"

"Yes I mean ruby, I don't know it's just so hard" I said

"Maybe you should talk to him and just talk it all out?"

"Don't you think I've tried? That's was I was trying last night and we just have disagreements and it's nothing I can personally look past" I told him

"What was it about?"

"Can we just drop it please?"

"Okay"

"You can always talk to me" he said

"Thank you"

"You usually in these situation say back at ya or you can always talk to me too" Eric said laughing

"I'm not sure if I like you yet" I said shrugging

"What?" He asked confused

"If Zo doesn't like you then sorry my dude I can't like you either"

"I don't think she likes me" Eric said

"I don't know, she doesn't like what you did and she feels betrayed because she trusted you. But I don't think she hates you, she dislikes you for the moment but I know she loves you" I said

"She loves me?" He asked shocked

"She told you for a reason, she was ready to take that step with you and you fucked it up" I said

"Shit I hate myself for it. I love her so much, and If she wouldn't want to have sex I would wait the rest of my life as long as it meant I got to be with her. The way she makes me feel and how she makes me smile. When I wake up next to her in the mornings I just can't help to smile to myself and wonder how did I get her. And when I see her helping others and the kindness within her heart it just makes me fall in love with her even more. So I would wait, I would wait the rest of my life if that's what it takes to have her beside me. Because she's worth waiting for"

"For fucks sake you're gonna make me cry" I told him looking over at him

"Damn you really love her" I said

"What isn't there to love about her"

"True" I said as we pulled into the training grounds parking

"I'm just so stupid for ruining it, she's never gonna want me specially when she can do so much better then me" he said

"I don't know what to say trust is hard to earn back" I said

"I know" he said

"We should probably get going" I said as I started to get of the car

"Yea we should" he said as he started to exit.

We walked in together and walked in silence towards the dressing rooms.

"Can we pretend that whole conversation never happened or a least the Dele part?" I asked looking over to Eric

"What conversation and what Dele part?" I heard Deles voice ask from behind us

"Were you eavesdropping?" I asked annoyed

"No I was trying to catch up to you guys and I happened to overhear"

"What ever" I said

"I'll talk to you later" I said looking at Eric

"Amelia please wait" Dele said grabbing my arm

"I'm just gonna walk away from whatever this is" Eric said as he slowly walked away

"Can we talk?" He asked

"Del I can't right now" I said to him

"I need you to understand I don't talk about us to the guys, not in that sense at least. You know how they are they ask so much but I don't tell them that kind of stuff because it has nothing to do with them and it's just between the both of us" he said "last night you didn't even let me explain. You just ran off, you can't run off every time you assume something" he added

"Follow me" I said taking his hand and leading him to the laundry room.

"Why are we here?" He asked

"You wanted to talk so we're gonna talk in private" I said

He nodded and sat down on a chair.

"I know I run away when I start to assume stuff, but I always assume the worst because I don't understand why a guy like you would be with someone like me. And I just have a hard time wrapping my head around that. I believe that I'm not deserving of you and when ever something or someone good comes into my life I ruin it. I self destruct i try to find flaws and I pick it apart and I destroy what ever that was there. Then I end up alone and end up with what I feel like I deserve" I said too scared too look at him

I have never in a relationship told this before, I just push the person away until they leave me.

"Amelia" Dele said taking my hand

" I don't need you like feeling bad for me or pitting me or anything" I said taking me hand back

"Amelia look at me" dele said as he stood up.

I sighed and looked up to him.

"Amelia i chose you, I wanted you because you made me feel something I haven't felt in a long time, you make me smile, you make me laugh, you make me happy and feel secure. You do deserve good things in life and you deserve happiness and if I bring that to then that makes me happy and it's enough for me" he said

"You do make me happy" I said

"Then stop pushing me away" he said giving me hug

"It's hard" I said

"I know, it's hard for me too. We can try together" he said

"I've never told anyone about that, except Zoe" I told him

"I'm glad you trusted me enough to tell me and I won't break your trust" he said hugging me again

"Thank you" I said burying my face into his chest

"For what?"

"For being you" I said placing a kiss on his neck

"That's Nothing to that me for, I'm just happy we talked this out" he said squeezing me even tighter

"Kiss me" I said looking up at him

"Gladly" he said with a smile

He leaned down and placed his lips on mine, I happily kissed him back and pulled him closer to me.

"We should probably get going, it's match day today" he said

"I know and it's derby day, but I just wanna cuddle with you" I said hurrying my face in his chest

"We can cuddle after I beat Arsenal tonight"

I looked up at him with raised brows

"I'm confident and I'll score just for you" he said

"I feel so special" I joked

"You are special" he said giving me a peck

"But you know that's not gonna happen right?" I said

"Oh watch me I'm gonna score tonight" he said

"You're too cocky"

"You like it when I'm cocky"

"Yes I do" I said

"We should really get going" I said

"Yes we should"

It was time for kickoff and ever since arriving at the Emirates I was trying to avoid my dad. I wasn't really in the mood to talk to him. I could see him on Arsenal's bench but he was too busy watching the game. It was an intense game and after 20 minuets son scored a really good goal. As much as I dislike it I had to admit it was a good goal. Throughout the whole first half arsenal had really good chances to score , but it just didn't happen. Soon enough it was half time and I was just sitting around listening to what Mauricio was saying to the guys. Soon it was half time and the boys were playing and both teams had really good chances to score. And I'm the 59th minuet dele scores and it was a good goal. After a couple minuets there was some sort of argument/disagreement, something got thrown at Dele and he provoked the fans by reminding them Tottenham was winning.

Soon it was full time and the whistle blew, Tottenham we're through to the semis of the FA cup. I went and joined them in the dressing rooms and Dele gave me a big hug and lifted me off of the ground.

"I told you I'd score" he said as he put me down

"Whatever" I said as I rolled my eyes and pouted

"Oh you mad cuz your team lost and I was right?" He asked in a mocking tone

"Maybe" I said

"Well I did promise to cuddle with after won so maybe that'll make up for it?" He asked

"If you add food into the mix too I think it'll make up for it" I said

"Then that's a deal" he said with a big smile

"Now go shower" I said

He just gave me a quick peck before walking off.

I walked out the dressing room to go and help putting stuff on the bus.

When I exited I was met with my father who had a big smile on his face.

"Hi" I awkwardly said

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm fine thank you, what about you?" I asked

"I'm doing good, I saw you out there and I just wanted to say hi and stuff" he said

"Oh okay" I said not knowing what else to say

"I know we use to do this when you were younger and you really loved it back then. But would you like to meet the team?" He asked

"Wow yea I'd love that" I said with a smile on my face

"Then let's go" he said as he started to walk towards the home dressing room.

When we entered the guys were just sitting there in quiet not looking too happy.

"Are you lost?" Mainland-Niles asked referring to my Tottenham gear

"Maybe we should do this another time" I said looking at my dad

"No no, it's okay" my dad said

"Boys i would like you all to meet my daughter Amelia" my dad said as he introduced me to the guys

"Hi nice to meet you all, I'm a big arsenal fan" I said

"She's wearing spurs clothes" someone said from the back

I just awkwardly stood there and smiled.

"I work there" I said

"Why?" Mesut özil asked me

"Mauricio is my stepdad and it's just this internship thing I agreed to do for a year" I explained

"But your dad works here so why didn't you choose to intern here or something?" Iwobi asked

All eyes were on me and my dad, I didn't know what to say, well I would of loved to work here but my dad abounded me and my family to start a new one.

"Well I should get going I have stuff I need to get done and y'know places to be" I awkwardly said

"Is any of those places you have to be your boyfriends or something?" Maitland-Niles asked with a smile. "You know I just wanna know If your single" he added as he earned a bunch of cheers and laughs from the rest of the guys.

"I'm gonna leave now" I said looking at my dad

"Yea I'll walk you out" he said following me over to the other dressing room

"I'm sorry about the guys" he said

"It's not your fault don't worry" I said to him.

We were back at the training ground and Dele helped me and the rest of the staff do the laundry and everything that needed to be done.

"I really didn't know it was all this work" he said to me as we left the training grounds

"I know because you're a spoiled little brat"

"No im not"

"Yes you are"

"What ever let's just go home I'm so tired" he said as we got into the car.

"We have to go bring Zoe food first" I said looking at him

"Okay"

"Did you see you dad at all?" He asked

"Yes I did we talked and he introduced me to the arsenal team"

"Oh really, did you fangirl?"

"No I did not fangirl, it was actually like an weird vibe cuz they were pissed and I walked in with spurs clothing you know it really just wasn't a whole vibe I wanted to be apart of" I said

"They were all sad that we beat them"

"Pretty much" I said as I rolled my eyes

"Why are we bringing food to Zoe again?" Dele asked

"Because I'm abounding her for they night but I'm still showing her love by getting her food" I said

"That's a bit weird but ok" he said

"What do you mean?"

"Like you guys are best friends she obviously knows you love her"

"But she really going trough it and I just wanna show her some extra love" I said

Dele just kinda laughed and shook his head a bit.

We picked up the food and we went up to Zoe's apartment. The lights were all on so she obviously was awake.

"Zo it's me" I said as I walked towards the living room

"Oh hey" I said as I saw Eric

"Hey" was all I got from both of them

"Eric you're here" dele said confused

"Well we bought you food we didn't know you'd be here Eric but you know sharing is caring" I said as I placed the food bags on the table.

"So I'll call you tomorrow" I said looking at Zoe

She just nodded and smiled, I was just very confused and I was trying to read Zoe's facial expressions.

"We'll see you guys" Dele said as he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me towards the door.

"Why did you do that for?" I whisper yelled as we got to the door

"You were starring"

"No I was just getting the vibe of what was going on" I said

"They are adults, they'll make it work and they'll work it out" Dele said

"Are you sure?"

"Yes now lets go because I'm exhausted" he said.

The drive home we were both silent and it was a comfortable silence. I could tell Dele was really tired, so when we got to his house we went straight to the bedroom. Dele was changing into some pyjamas, while I was in desperate need of a shower.

"You go to bed I'm gonna take a shower" I said walking over to Dele

"Okay" he said wrapping his arms around me.

I gave him a kiss before I went to the bathroom. As the shower was getting warm I was on my phone when I saw a couple of notifications from Instagram.

I was so confused to why they'd follow me, if they were to look trough my posts they could clearly see I was in a relationship. I just shrugged and put my phone down and got into the shower.

After taking my shower I changed into some clothes I could sleep in. I got into bed with Dele who I thought was asleep, but he pulled me closer to him and wrapped his arms around my waist, as he kissed my neck.

"Goodnight" he whispered

"Goodnight"

Right in this moment I was happy and felt content.
