"Do you have a problem with the coach?"

I slowly shook my head. "Family?", he continued.

"Look, Danny, I really don't want..."

He just kept talking.

"Is it me? Do you have a problem with me?"

"No, I don't. Can you leave me alone, please?"

He refused to.

"No, god damn it! Is it because one of our mates? Nobody can get along with everybody..."

"Danny, please stop talking to me. I need time to think. Alone."

"Sorry", he mumbled.

"I just realized, that you're probably going through a rough time. I will support you and leave you alone. Don't do anything stupid, please. Okay?"

I thanked god for Danny. He was a good guy. He left me alone.

"Fuck me.", I thought. "I don't want to do this anymore."

It was time for training now, so I got dressed quickly and ran downstairs.

"Okay", the coach began, after we had warmed up.

"Team up in pairs and pass each other the ball precisely. The other one stops the ball with the left foot and volleys the ball, so the other one can get it with his head, chest or you know..."

I looked around.

Usally me and Eric would be a team, but at the moment the tension between us was too big, so I asked Victor, the new signing, if we wanted to pair up. He smiled at me and agreed.

I saw Eric.

He paired up with Nacer.

I saw the sparkle in his eyes.

He looked sad.

Harry looked at me, then at Eric and shook his head, while talking to Jan.

I knew, that everyone was worried about us, because normally we we're unseperatable.

"Shit", I cursed, when my foot didn't want to kick the ball at the correct ankle.

"Don't curse, Dele! It's no good. It's a bad word!", Victor reminded me.

I chuckled.

Victor had a thick african accent and he looked so determined...

"Alli! What are you doing? Bloody mess. Concentrate!", my coach yelled, when he saw me daydreaming.

I grumbled, but I tried harder to concentrate.

What was wrong with me recently?

When training was over I hurried to get to shower first.

I was standing and crying as the water poured over me.

I needed to hide my sexuality. Cover it up, somehow... I had to.

Then I had an idea.

I felt a little bit bad for lying at my team mates and at the same time my best friends, but I had to, so I made up my plan...

Right after the shower I got dressed in my favourite party clothing and jumped into my car.

I was driving to a club for... popular people. I was sure, that I would find somebody that evening...

The next morning I woke up with a bad headache. I must have drunk too much yesterday, but I knew I had achieved what I wanted.

I took a quick shower and jumped down the stairs.

Things finally seemed to get better.

However, I still sat alone, because I was sure everybody hated me.

When I took my first bite, Harry and Jan nodded at each other and came over to sit in front of me.

Harry looked me in the eyes and Jan began to speak: "Don't leave. Seriously. We need to talk. It's extremly important."

"Hmm...", I answered.

"What we're you thinking? Yesterday evening Eric came into my room. Crying!", Harry claimed.

"Me and Jan we're playing cards, when he came in, his eyes were red and moist."

Jan nodded. "He said, that you would be sooo mean and that you hated him. He is so sad. Have you ever seen him crying?"

Harry shook his head. "No, I haven't. That poor boy! We've noticed, too, that you and Eric don't get along too well anymore. Did you have a fight? We can help you to solve the problem."

I shook my head.

"I-...", my acting was quite impressing. "It's not Eric's fault."

(It totally was, but I couldn't say that.)

"My... My grandmother...", I squeezed my eyes shut.

"Sorry...", I swallowed.

"She... She isn't feeling good recently... And... She had surgery two days ago... I barely slept... My grandma means a lot to me... If... If she dies...", I took a deep breath.

"Fuck... I can't... Sensitive topic..."

I left the room dramatically and went into the bathroom, to make it look like I cried.

I splashed some water at my face and held my eyes open, until tears were appearing.

Then I sneaked back into the cafeteria, because I was still hungry.

Hugo patted my back, when he caught me.
