returning back to her dorm was a huge relief for sofia. it wasn't hard for her to find her way back after she toured the university. it was 5pm but sofia was so tired she crashed as soon as she touched her bed.

sofia woke to a loud sound coming from outside her dorm. she looked at her phone and it dawned on her that she had been asleep for over three hours.
"what is that?" she groaned as she dragged herself out of bed to explore the sound of loud music.
it was coming from the dorm opposite to hers. a loud pounding music sound. sofia sighed, it wasn't the weekend yet, she knew it wasn't late but she was so tired still. she knocked on the door and it opened, revealing a relatively tall girl with short, wavy brown hair.
"hi. sorry to interrupt, i know you don't know me but i moved into the dorm opposite you yesterday. my names sofia. i was just wondering if you would be able to turn that down a bit, i don't mean to be a kill joy but i only arrived in england yesterday and my jet lag is insane so i'm incredibly tired. and now i'm rambling and you probably don't care but i'm not great at meeting new people so once again sorry."
the brown haired girl laughed, looking amused. "my names bella. and of course, sorry it's so loud i honestly didn't notice. thank you for telling me and not being so annoyed, the last thing i wanted to do was annoy people here, especially so soon! where did you move from?"
"i was born in argentina, that's what my accent is. but i moved to turin in 2016 as my brother lives there and i wanted to be close to him but i moved back to argentina a couple of months ago just so i could sort everything out with university here. what about you, are you from around here?"

"turin, that's in italy right? i've always wanted to go to italy, is it nice? i'm from newcastle, so up north but i wanted to go to university further away and i knew this was one of the best in london so i thought it would be nice here!"
"it's so nice in italy, i wasn't a huge fan at first but i think it was my homesickness kicking in. i love your accent! honestly before i came here i thought everyone in england had the same accent and was posh, turns out i was wrong. i've only been here a day and i've heard about fifty different accents just in this area alone! it's nice to travel to places, you really learn so many new things! anyway, i better get back to my dorm i've got a lot to do but it was so nice to meet you. hopefully we could be friends?"
"i'd like that," the brunette smiled.
sofia walked back into her dorm with a good feeling, she was nervous to come to england, she didn't know much about it but the two people she had met today had been so nice and helpful to her. to have someone so nice so close to her felt like a blessing to sofia. she had a good feeling about england.
sofia was in the joint kitchen, making herself spaghetti bolognese when her phone buzzed.
