it's been just over two weeks since dele and zara last spoke to each other. dele has been concentrating on football. zara has been trying to contact dele to explain who joe but he's blocked her number.
dele knows he's been slightly overdramatic but he's been played with too many times to be played with again. he thought zara was different, that she liked him for him. but turns out she's just like the others.
but little does dele know, joe is one of zara's oldest friends. they knew each other at primary school until he moved to brazil when he was sixteen and now he's back. zara is letting him stay at her place until he finds his own place.
she is slowly pissed off by the way dele acted. she understands that dele has slight trust issues but he didn't have to overreact and let her explain what was going on. she just wanted to say joe was her friend and he was in fact gay. if he hadn't acted that way, they wouldn't be in this mess.
after a long day at work, zara walks into her apartment where joe is sat at the dining room table working on his laptop.
'hey good day at work?' he says.
'tiring.' she says sighing, taking off her shoes and sitting on the sofa.
'have you heard from dele?'
'no i haven't.'
'i definitely think you should go over his place and explain. because calling and texting isn't working at all, plus he's unfollowed you on instagram. i'm pretty he's blocked you z. if it's any help, i'll even come with you.'
'no joe, i can't.'
'come on you've been moping around about him this entire time. you're going to have to do something sooner or later.' he says sitting next to her.

'i choose later.'
joe signs at his friend, shaking his head at her. he knows deep down she's missing him like crazy but she won't admit, she would never admit anything like that about a man.
'sorry i will not allow you to be like this. we're going over to his house now to talk to him. i want you to stop being miserable. he's probably just as miserable as you are. you're both just too stubborn to do anything about it.'
'joe no please. he might not be at home.'
'but he might be.'
'no please no.'
'we're going zara.'
'joe no.'
'zara yes.
'i refuse to go.' she says looking at him with her arms crossed.

'i hate you.' she says as they get out of his car, parked across the street from dele's house.
'so this is what living life as a footballer is like huh?' he says as they walk up the driveway to his front door.
joe knocks on the front door, looks at zara who is looking at the floor.
'well looks like he's not in, let's go!' she says suddenly turning around but joe suddenly grabs her and turns her around.
dele opens the front door, looks at them in disgust before going to shut the front door but zara blocks the front door.
'dele please.' she says looking at him.
'you brought your boyfriend with you? just to rub it in, i see.'
'just let me explain.'
'i don't think you need to, i understand it quite well. anyway have a safe trip back.' says dele going to shut the door again.
'mate, if this helps, i'm actually gay.' joe says and dele stops suddenly.

'wait what?'
'i'm gay. look, i love zara but not in that way. she explained to me who you are and she really likes you, the way you acted without letting her explain kinda broke her heart. so i came here myself to tell you.'
'i've known joe since we were little kids.' says zara finally looking up at dele who's looking at her.
'i understand why you reacted that way, if i saw another woman at your house like that i would have been the same. i just wish you let me explain.'
'i wish you had mate, she's been a mess over you.' joe says laughing slightly, embarrassing his friend who's stood next to him, rolling his eyes.
'why are you both apologising? i should be the one who's apologising. i'm sorry i overreacted and assisted he was your boyfriend or whatever before he even knowing. i was pissed off, got slightly jealous and didn't even give you time to explain. i'm sorry for overreacting and blocking your number.' says dele.
'alright you're both sorry. are you both good now?' says joe rolling his eyes making them both laugh.
'come here you.' says dele with a grin as he brings her close to him and wrapping his arms around her.
'i've missed you asshole.' she says into his chest making him laugh and kiss the top of her head.
'missed you too babe.'

Overgrowth
I never thought I'd be killed by butterflies. But here I am... Edmon Valli was a smuggler, before a freak storm threw him off course and stranded him on a desert island smack in the middle of an uncharted monster zone. Trying his best to survive, or possibly even escape, he stumbles across the find of a lifetime: an unclaimed dungeon crystal. This is a dungeon-ish story, but without reincarnation or transmigration. I started it as a whim for NaNoWriMo so I may drop it any time after that... or I might not. My current plan is to write until I can reach some sort of conclusion and call it 'volume one'. I hope someone enjoys reading it for now! All comments, corrections, and criticism welcome.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

Directorate: Nationbuilding in Apocalypse
A nation is just a means of survival. Metro Manila fell within 5 months of the first report of cannibalism. Once a hyperurbanized region of 15 million inhabitants, it's been reduced to a dead, greenless shell. Most of the infected had since left to ravage the countryside. The central government was nowhere to be found. Among the survivors who clung to the few gardens and humble plots of arable land left, one of them finds evidence that the slaughter wasn't going to just end with the first wave. Without a nation and a wall of guns, everyone will die. Directorate is an original nationbuilding webnovel that focuses on the gradual rise to power of a select few individuals, and the subsequent unification of the survivors of a devastated Metro Manila. Releases targeted at every 1 to 3 weeks. If there are no chapter updates after 3 weeks, there will be a progress update. Number of releases targeted at a maximum of 100 chapters.
