Killuas POV

"Hey Killua! Look what I found near the door!" I lazily looked up from my phone, sitting in tiredly on the couch, to see a little black ball of fur resting in his hands.

Why In the world would a little stray kitten come here out of all places? We live pretty far from the village. I find that very odd.

"Can we keep it?" Holding the kitten closer to his face, rubbing its face on Gons cheek. Tch. That little feline is lucky to be close. Wait. What am I saying?! Why should I feel jealous for the cat? I blushed and looked away.

"S-Sure, your responsibility." Answering back, not bothering to see his face, a feeling he has the biggest smile in existence.

"You're the best Killua!" Shouting out loud happily, causing to me jump and almost dropping my brand new phone that I got yesterday. All thanks to Gon who broke it, yup. By letting it fall and breaking down the stairs. and of course he had to buy me another one right after. Idiot.

"Whatever and pimped down." Saying as response, trying hard not to blush.

Peering up slightly, only seeing Gon sitting on the bigger couch right in front of me. How did he get there so fast? Ignoring them again and went back to kill the boss. Health bar on red, so close! Just 10 more hits till its dead! And the game will be over with a sweet victory!

"Who's the cutest kitten! You are! Your eyes are so beautiful like a shining emerald. Fur so soft and fluffy. What should I name you?" He stopped rambling over this little creature, who is getting all the attention from Gon.

I mean, why should I get jealous? The little kitten just got here. It's not like trying taking away Gon or anything. Probably got lost. The little kit didn't have a collar, so finding its owner wasn't an option. Who knows? There are many possibilities how and why it got lost.

Erasing those thoughts for now, I just needed to hit this hard boss with one more swing and I win.

"Killua!"

"What?"

I paused the game, a little agitated why he hollered out my name for absolutely no reason. Literally so close, you can just whisper someone's name and they will hear you.

I looked up to see Gon pointing where my feet are, smiling. God, he scares me sometimes with those type expressions. I sighed and leaned to see the small kitten rubbing on my shoe. Purring as it slid across my shoe and laid on the ground. Staring right at me with those bright green eyes.

Reaching out to pet the little ball of fluff, it scratched my hand softly with those little plumped pink paws. I was awe and decided to pick it up. So soft.

"He likes you Killua."

"How do you know it's a boy?"

"Oh, all I did is look under him." I gave him dumbfounded look and realized what he meant. Wow, I feel pretty dumb.

"Interesting..."

"Yeah, I did the same thing way back before we ever met. I used to have a dog, a husky.."

"Really? A story time like this Gon?"

"Yeah! Now shush!" I chuckled of his ignorance and sat comfortably on the couch with the kitten sitting on my lap.

"I found the poor helpless creature near a pond drinking water, so skinny you can see it's bones. Of course with my natural instinct, or anyone else would've done, I helped the dog. Later bringing it home, gave it food and a clean warm bath. Mito soon asked if the dog had a collar and I said 'she doesn't, I found her in the forest.' She asked if that was her official gender and I said yes. Just by looking under. I know it's weird, but that's how you figure if the dog is a boy or girl."

Wow, he was probably younger than twelve when this happened. He's much smarter than I thought.

"What was her name?" I didn't want to asked where or what happened to his previous pet, because it must had hurt him when he lost her.

"Diamond. She had the most beautiful white fur and stunning blue eyes. Just like you." Warmth came over to my face, cheeks turning bright red. Of course I covered my red face with my silver hair locks.

"S-shut up idiot! How can you say such embarrassing things like that?" Gon laughed and I felt even more embarrassed. Thankfully we didn't touch the subject of what happened to her. "Aww but its true though." Hearing him stand up and sitting right next to me. A little bit to close for comfort. As he sat right next to me, the little kitten went on Gons lap.

Why do I get so nervous when Gon sits really close to me? I should be used to this, not getting embarrassed so easily whenever he's around.

"Sorry if I interrupted you in the middle of your battle Killua. I'll let you get back to it."

Not responding back and went back to my game. Why do I keep acting like this around my best friend? D-Do I l-like him that way? No! There's no way. Well, maybe a little. But I'm not sure if he feels the same way though.

We never done anything couple like. For example, like kissing, hugging, or even hold hands.

Whenever we hand each other something, our fingers gently touch, Gon never notice that I blush and twitch from the small interaction when our hands met. Feeling slight chills running through my spine, heart thumping, stomach fluttering like someone teenage girl confessing to their crush.

I-I guess I do have a little crush on Gon. How do I know if he likes me the same way? Sometimes he calls me cute whenever I get mad or flustered from his antics and ruffle my hair. Making blush even more whenever he laughs when I try to talk to him. But, something about that laughter changes me when it rings in my ears. Forgetting why I was mad and laugh along with him.

Seeing his smile makes my heart flip, he usually never laughs that hard around anyone else. Even Mito-San, he does chuckles. Good enough to smile at.

This makes wonder if he does like me. I'll wait until the right moment. Right now it's not a good time. Because we have to take care of the kitten and me finishing this final boss.

Sweet! I beat the boss with a strong final swing.

Now what?

Gon was still playing with his new kitten on the carpet. Watching T.V. and messing with a ball of yarn from his grandmas bowl filled with other yarn I suppose.

The kitten was trying catch the string that Gon is holding, stretching its long claws to get a better reach, but no success. He feel on the ground in defeat and start kneading those sharp claws against the couch.

Switching my gaze from him towards Gon. He smiled and petted the kittens smooth black fur while kneading with a smile. This is similar when Gon places his hand on-top of my forehead and strokes it softly with a smile. His warm hand gently touching me, sending many mixed signals of how I feel whenever he does this sorta thing from time to time when no one else is around.

Somewhere inside me is telling me to say how I feel, but I ignore them and wait.

Also, I do feel a bit jealous whenever he smiles and petting him gentle like. Why though? Is it because he always pays attention of me and never really anyone else? I guess that's true, having this weird sentiment to hold him closer to me and being more than friends is telling me I do have a crush on him.

I'm still going to wait.

10 minutes past and he is still paying attention to that feline. Maybe I need to do something, try getting back his attention.

My face felt warm thinking of the idea, but it have to do it.

I quietly went upstairs to see my sister Alluka reading a book, that is called "The One Missing Stone." Interesting, the cover has a picture of all the stones shaped into a heart, around the title. I wonder what's about, sometime soon when she is done with the book, I can read it myself.

"Hey sis, can you grant me a wish?"

"Of course, anything for you big brother."

-Sometime later-

"A-Alluka, I think this is a terrible solution, by terrible, the worse decision I've ever made. Look at me, I look ridiculous." Saying as I was looking in the mirror, seeing a fluffy white tail and ears. My tail was up, having that question mark like shape and ears standing straight up. Hearing noises that I never could ever hear, I'm starting to regret this.

"Oh come on brother, you look adorable. I think he'll love you even more." I flinched at the word love more than adorable. Considering she talking about Gon.

"H-he loves me?" She gave me the most unimpressed look and sighed.

"Yes you big dummy, do you not see how he looks at you whenever we go to dinners together?" I shook my head. "Well, he does love you and obviously you do as well. Getting jealous when he talks to others." She clapped her hands loud, leaving me dumbfounded and a blushing mess. "Okie dokey! Go out there and tell him how you feel! Don't worry, he told me the truth about loving you. Now, be gone to your love!" She rubbed her hands together and started to push me out the door with a gaping mouth. I heard the door shut from behind and being locked.

Wish me luck sis.

Nervously and slowly going down the stairs to see Gon resting on the couch with the kitten on his lap. Petting it softly.

My tail started to twitch when seeing the animal. Is this what happens when one cat stares at another cat for a showdown or something? I suppose so when I see stray cats wondering around the village.

"G-Gon?" Speaking up when approaching to him. Who looked up with a small blush on his face.

"A-are those real?" He asked filled with curiosity, not really caring why I got them as his first question. Which I find it sweet.

I just nodded.

He smiled and yanked onto my arm to sit side by his side. Then the unexpected happens, he kissed my cheek and back away slowly with a warm smile. Face flushing bright red and slowly placed my hand on the cheek where he kissed.

"I knew you will get jealous. You are too adorable." Letting go his grip of my arm, and wrapped around his arm around me. Pulling me closer.

"Y-you knew?"

"Yeah, me and Alluka planned this whole thing out. I placed the kitten outside when you were still sleeping after wishing for one and brought it back. I just went to say good morning to people and later came back. Then I started to play with the kitten, in order of a finding a sorta of reaction when you'll get jealous. Because you do get jealous quite easily whenever I give attention, other than you."

I was completely bewildered by this explanation. Still slightly puzzled.

"S-so you did this mostly to make me confess my feelings towards you? Plus, you also felt the same for me?"

He smirked and nodded. Geez, I really want to smack that stupid grin of his face for going this far to just confess. I think he knew I was hiding something, well, it worked. But I can't help of not hating his smile.

If it's for me.

"I-I hate you."

"That seems fair, can I touch your ears?"

"S-sure." Shyly answering back as I lowered my head down. So he won't see the embarrassment covering my face.

"So soft."

Ugh, I can't take this anymore!

I cupped his face and kissed him. We both quickly melted into the kiss, soon he wrapped his arms around my waist tightly and I slowly rested my hands on his shoulders.

This felt like a dream, kissing the one who changed my life forever. Pretty cliche, but its true.

We kissed for a good minute or two and parted away to get air. I wish we can kiss longer, never knew he can kiss so well, I wanted more. His lips were softer than expected, felt like our lips were meant to be together. Couldn't think of anyone else who is more perfect for me.

"Wow, this is, the best and most beautiful moment I had with you. Killua" He smiled, sweetly. A warm smile that makes my heart beat.

Those glimmering hazel eyes filled with love and determination. Who wouldn't love this gorgeous and stunning human being to ever exist?

"S-same here. I couldn't think of the most beautiful moment than this we had together."

"Yeah, I'm so happy."

"Me too."

"Oh, the kitten is named emerald by the way. Sorry if I ruined the moment, I-I just really wanted you know." He blushes slightly, which I find it cute. Since he never gets embarrassed. It makes sense, because of this situation. Kinda awkward to say something off topic.

"I think it's a beautiful name, Gon. It suits him perfectly."

He smiled and I kissed his cheek. The same spot where he kissed mine.

I'm so thankful to have the love of my life with me.

So happy.
