"Are you serious?!" Leorio asked angrily.

Kurapika nodded.

"I swear...these people don't deserve to die! I will find this bastard!" Leorio said.

"Say...Y/n...does your mother own any animals?" Kurapika asked.

"No...why?" I asked.

Kurapika shook his head with a slight grin. "No reason."

"Do you think she could be the killer? Is that why you asked?"

"It was a thought but I don't think your mother would do such a thing." Kurapika shrugged.

Killua looked at Gon. "Gon...I met your mother. Why don't you want too?"

Gon made eye contact with Killua but stayed silent.

"Gon, she was really nice." Killua grabbed Gon by his shoulders and started shaking them.

"Killua..." Gon looked away. "I don't want too."

Killua stopped shaking him.

"Alright you guys, we need to get to the next crime scene." Kurapika said.

"Where is it?" I asked.

"It's-" Kurapika was interupted by my phone.

"Sorry." I said. I looked at it. "It's my mom." I said.

Kurapika nodded telling me I can pick it up.

I pressed call and put the phone up to my ear. I heard my mother crying silently. "Y-Y/n..."

"Mom? W-What's wrong?" I asked.

"Are you with Killua?" She asked.

"Yes, in fact in with my whole friend group." I said. "What's going on?"

"Y/n...there...is an intruder in the house." She said.

I put it on speaker phone for all of us to hear.

"Im hiding right now...I didn't even notice but they were here when you and Killua were here. I'm scared..." She said.

"Can you tell us what the intruder looks like? We'll also be there as fast as we can!"

"The intruder has black hair and is wearing a dress. She is going through the living room right now. She's looking for something."

"And where are you hiding?" I asked.

"I am hiding in attic." She cried.

"Okay Mom! We will be right there!" I said. She hung up and I put my phone back in my pocket.

"Killua, Gon and Illumi will go with Y/n. Leorio and Hisoka are with me." Kurapika said.

"Okay, we'll meet you there after you text us the location!" I said.

"Make sure you ask your mother about the intruder!" Kurapika said.

We began to run as fast as we could.

"You have no choice but you meet your mother now Gon!" Killua said to Gon.

"I still don't want too..." Gon paused.

We got there as fast as we could but once we got there, the intruder was standing on top of the roof and their face was hidden. The looked us in the eyes.

"Oh no you don't!" Killua said as he began chasing the intruder.

"Killua! Be careful!" I shouted.

"I'll go after him!" Illumi said as he chased after Killua.

Gon and i walked in the house.

"Mom?!" I called out. "Mom!"

I didn't hear anything. I checked the attic but she wasn't in there.

"Is she here?" Gon asked.

"She said she was hiding in the attic but she's not there." I scratched my head.

Suddenly Gon ran in my bedroom and called my name.

"What is it Gon?" I asked as I ran in my room.

My mother was lying unconscious on the ground. She looked dead but she had a pulse and a heartbeat. She was bleeding from her head.

"We need Leorio over here!" I said to Gon.

"B-But he's with Kurapika." Gon said.

Suddenly, Milo runs in. "Y/n?" Milo said.

"Milo what are you doing here." I asked.

"I usually visit her around this time of day. Is she dead?" He asked.

"No...she's alive." I said.

"We need to get her to a doctor!" Milo said.

Then my mother rose up from my arms.

"Ow..." She said. Then she looked at both me and Gon. "G-Gon...?" She said.

"Hmm?" Gon said.

"Is that you?" She asked.

"Listen, I am Gon, your son but can you tell us what happened?" Gon asked.

Mother paused. "I...As soon as you guys left..." She turned toward me. "I heard someone enter the house from the upstairs window. So...I went to check to see what was happening when my bedroom was being searched by some crazy black haired lady. She was kind of tall, her face was hidden...she was wearing a dress. I can't remember anything else about her. But I hid in the attic. As soon as I got done calling you, I dropped the phone and started crying louder. Then to that's all I remember." She explained.

I thought for a minute.

Gon looked down to his feet. Then Killua and Illumi came upstairs. "We lost her." Killua said.

"Anyone smell that?" Gon asked. He sniffed the air.

"Smell what?" I asked.

"Something horrible." He asked.

Gon left the room and went to find what smelled horrible.

Then my mother fainted again.

"We need to get her to a doctor." I said.

"I'll take her to Leorio." Illumi said as he took my mother from my arms.

"Hey! Can we even trust you with her?" Killua asked

"Of course. I don't have any plans to kill her or anything." Illumi said.

"Okay....if I don't get a call from Leorio saying he got my mother, then I will murder you." I said to Illumi.

"Scary. You can try but you won't." Illumi said before he left.

I rolled my eyes. "We need to follow Gon."

As soon as I said that, he called us down to the kitchen. We ran down there.

"There...is another victim..." He said. He went underneath the table, hiding behind the tablecloth was another dead boy.

"Y/n...is your mom a killer?" Killua asked.

"What? No! She couldn't even protect herself from an intruder! She was so scared that she called her own daughter to save her!" I said.

"Relax." Killua said as he hugged me. He tried to calm me down as years started running down my face. "I think she's innocent. I believe you." Killua said still hugging me. Then we both looked at Gon.

"I..." He paused. "I believe you too."

A few seconds later, i got a call from Leorio.

I picked up my phone and put it on speaker. "She's here. Illumi and your mother." He said.

I let out a sigh of relief. "Leorio...tell Kurapika...we found another victim." I sighed.

Leorio let out a sigh. "Okay."

I hung up. I hugged Killua. "We need to find these killers ASAP before they kill anyone else."

Gon started coughing.

"Gon?" Killua asked.

"You guys...I feel sick..." He said.

"Anybody would if they seen that." Killua said.

"No...I've seen worse remember Killua? I just feel like..." Suddenly Gon collapsed to the floor.

"Is he okay?" Milo asked.

"I don't know." We ran over to Gon. "What the hell is happening?"
