I was on the phone with my father who was talking to me about the company. My mind kept drifting off to Daphne. It's been almost a week since our date and I couldn't wait to see her again. It was nice to have someone I had at least a few things in common with. It was also nice to have someone I can easily talk to as well.

"Samuel,I broke a leg," Father said.

"Uh-huh. That's-what?!" I half yelled.

"You're doing it again. You keep day dreaming about something and I bet that it is that girl your mother told me about," He replied.

"What girl?" I queried.

"Don't play dumb with me. I know that a young woman had asked you out last week," He said.

"Uh...yeah she did," I replied.

"Is she pretty?" He questioned.

"She's more than pretty. She's beautiful," I smiled.

"Beautiful? I'll have to see for myself," He murmured.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked.

"To meet her of course," He replied.

"M-Meet her?" I stammered.

"Yes. Meet her," He answered.

"Ummm....I don't think-"

"Don't give me an excuse,Samuel. Your mother and I will meet her this Wednesday at the country club and that's final," He firmly stated.

"Y-Yes,sir," I replied.

"Good. Now get your head out of the damn gutter and listen or else I will come up there myself and beat you with a stick like I used to do," He said.

"Yes,sir," I cleared my throat. This Wednesday? It's Monday already and it's a little too early for us to even meet each other's folks,but my parents are so stubborn.

After talking with my father, I walked to the conference room where my twelve o'clock meeting was being held. Greeting everyone as I walked in, I sat down in my chair at the head of the table. One of the employees of Santiago & Dominguez started the PowerPoint. I listened to their proposal, which was not as convincing as they thought it was. I might think about working with this company. After their presentation was finished,I looked over at the CEO of the company.

"I will consider working with you,but in the meantime I thank you for coming and hope to see you soon," I murmured.

"Thank you,sir," He shook hands with me then left. I walked back to my office and sat down behind my desk. I decided to call Daphne on my personal cell. When she picked up on the first ring,my heart fluttered. I must sound like girl now,but I don't care. She's a very beautiful woman.

"Hello,Samuel," She cheerfully greeted.

"I was calling to ask if you wanted to maybe meet me for lunch? I know this great place near my office that we can go to and it's called Craft," I suggested.

"Sure. I'd like that," I heard the smile in her voice.

"Alright. I'll see you there," I smiled.

"You too," She hangs up. I put my phone into my pocket and grab my blazer. I see Bridgette eating lunch at her desk.

"Bridgette,I'll be going out for lunch. Please handle the calls," I tell her.

"Yes,sir," She responded. I walked towards the elevator and I got on. I pressed the button for the garage and leaned back against the wall. I smiled to myself as I thought about Daphne. She is such a kind and gorgeous woman. I'm lucky to even have the chance to be near her. Hell,any man would be lucky to be in her presence. I would be a lucky son of a bitch if she considered dating me after a few more dates or so.

Right now I was at Craft waiting on Daphne. When she showed up,I was awestruck at how beautiful she looked in the dress she was wearing. It fit her curves perfectly and her hair frames her face. I stood up, almost tripping over the chair,when she approached the table.

"Are you okay? I just saw you trip?" She asked with concern in her voice.

"I'm fine," I replied assuringly.

"That's good," She smiled softly. She sits down and I do the same.

"I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long," She murmured.

"No you didn't," I shook my head.

"That's good," She beamed. She sets down her bag next to her feet and opens up the menu. I watched her as her eyes scanned the menu. I couldn't possibly tell her that my parents wanted to meet her already. It would probably freak her out and make her not want to talk to me ever again. I'll just have to make up an excuse to my father to tell him that him and my mother meeting her isn't going to happen or I can just tell them the truth and say that it's a little too early to even think about meeting her anyway. As of now, we're only trying to get to know each other. I know how my father can get sometimes when he doesn't like the women I'm dating,but I doubt he'll dislike Daphne,I mean, who could even dislike her anyway? She was so nice and kind. I'll just have to figure this out by tomorrow. Right now,I'm just having lunch with a beautiful and intelligent woman.

"You've been staring for a long time. See anything you like?" She smirked without looking up.

"Sorry. I can't help it. You're just really beautiful," I tell her. She blushed with a small smile.
