Boss Zhou had not felt so mistreated ever since Yan Shuyu had become his girlfriend. He couldn't help but held onto her hand tightly but still needed to put up the cool front. "When are you taking off?"

"As early as possible. The sooner we go, the sooner we can have it all taken care of."

Zhou Qinhe pressed his lips together quickly, smiled and said, "Okay, let's all go together then."

Yan Shuyu was well aware that the boss was a jealous man so she wasn't surprised by his decision. She still asked, nevertheless, "I don't know how long that will take. What about your work?"

"There's an office in capital city. I can easily work from there." Zhou Qinhe put his arm around her and said to her tenderly, "You and Yuanbao are more important."

Yan Shuyu's lips were curving up madly but she still pretended to be cool and said, "No, you don't need to. That's too much to ask of you."

"Not at all," said Boss Zhou casually. "And we can buy some properties over there while we are at it. After Yuanbao had rejoined the Ye family, he might have to go and visit the elders from time to time. That way we can accompany him as well."

Yan Shuyu had initially thought that the trip to the capital and having his son included into the Ye's genealogy would be a big challenge yet they were able to accomplish that quite easily.

Perhaps partly because Ye Rongchen had done a good behind-the-scene job with managing his parents' and other elders' expectation or that she had the boss behind her, which allowed the Ye's parents no choice but to accept the fact. All in all, the interaction between the two families was quite pleasant.

Yan Shuyu had planned to visit the Ye's with Zhang Yuanjia. After all, if her son was to join the Ye's officially, it was only right for them to visit the elders pro-actively. That being said, they day that they arrived at the capital when Ye Rongchen related his parents' intention to have them rest up and that a banquet would be held at the Ye's the next day to welcome them.

If the Ye's parents were to hold a banquet, she should be able to assume that was their good will. This was much better than Yan Shuyu had originally anticipated and, as such, she had agreed to it cheerfully.

The very next morning, she took the two little kiddos dressed properly in their suits and ties and headed to the hotel that they were to meet at with the boss. They had declined the chauffeur that the Ye family had offered up. The boss was a man with businesses world wide. Getting a ride was not a problem to him at all.

They met up with the Ye's parents at the hotel before 11 AM.

The Ye's parents looked exactly how Yan Shuyu had pictured them. It stood to reason that with Ye Rongchen being such a handsome man, both his parents were also very pleasing to the eyes. As for their auras, Father Ye was somewhat similar to that of the boss. They have an easy-going look on them but them just standing there made others feel that they would not want to try anything stupid. That must be the rumored aura of one with authority. That might be the reason that Father Ye and the boss had somewhat hit it off, or at least able to keep the conversation going. Contrarily, Yan Shuyu and Mother Ye were more awkward together.

Yan Shuyu wasn't able to forgive Ye Rongchen before but, at the end of the day, that was the fault of the Ye's parents. That being said, the fact that they had saved Ye Rongchen was also the truth. Yan Shuyu had no idea whether Ye Rongchen was really dead in the original novel or lived out his new live without ever recalling her and her son. Nevertheless, if she was to choose, the latter was probably the better of the two options. Ye Rongchen was, after all, her son's birth father. It was better that he had survived than both of them being gone.

Perhaps, what Father and Mother Ye had done wasn't that awful after all. Now that her son had re-united with his father and would be added officially onto the Ye's genealogy, all the more it was difficult for Yan Shuyu to criticize them from a moral high ground.

That being said, Yan Shuyu was never a very forgiving person. She couldn't just pretend that nothing had happened. As such, she wasn't sure what to make of all this. After sitting around silently with Mother Ye for a while, Mother Ye was the one who finally broke the silence. She asked in a low voice, "I heard that you are about to get re-married."

Yan Shuyu nodded. "Congratulations," said Mother Ye.

She even turned and looked at Zhou Qinhe as she spoke. She didn't say anything else but she was probably expressing her approval of Yan Shuyu's choice. The boss was, after all, a very outstanding man.

Yan Shuyu had no problem accepting Mother Ye's approval. That was right. She was that good at picking out a man for herself.

"Yuanbao, that's his nickname, right?" Mother Ye was trying to strike up a conversation again. She didn't have much to talk about with Yan Shuyu but the way she looked at Zhang Yuanjia was very tender. Her reserved looked turned into a loving one and she was short of having "my oldest grandson was so handsome" written all over her face. She looked like she wanted to pull him into her arms and all sorts of dote on him.

Unfortunately, she would not have the opportunity to do so.

Zhang Yuanjia's fondness toward his father was not something instinctual but from his mother's "planting". Albeit that wasn't Yan Shuyu's original intention, but her speech of how wonderful daddy was had certainly planted a seed in the little kiddo's mind. As such, he may have been envious that Xiao Yi had a father after he had got to know Uncle Zhou and Xiao Yi, he was never jealous of him. The more wonderful he found Uncle Zhou, the prouder he was as his father was every bit as wonderful as Uncle Zhou in his mind. Meaning to say that his admiration and closeness toward Uncle Zhou stemmed from his image of his own father. That was very different than how he had wanted to turn Uncle Zhou into his own father in the original novel.

When Ye Rongchen, his birth father, showed up, all of his fantasy and imagination made it very easy for him to accept and get used to having a father.

Mother and Father Ye, on the other hand, did not receive the same treatment. Zhang Yuanjia, who was still just a grade school student, had only heard about his father from his mother. He had no idea that he had grandparents and all of the elders in the Ye family were strangers to him. His mother had only mentioned that he would be meeting some of daddy's relatives and elders during his trip to the capital with his dad, mom, and Uncle Zhou. Once he was added to the genealogy, he would officially be father and son with his dad.

Zhang Yuanjia didn't have much concept about his grandparents. As such, when the little kiddo, who had a lot of principles, stepped inside of the private room and saw that the unfamiliar pair of middle-aged couple wanted to hug him, he had reflexively taken a step back with some resentment on his face.

He might look to be outgoing, cheerful, and a sweet-talker, but he still somewhat resisted the idea of getting close to strangers.

Father and Mother Ye froze on the spot right away.

Because of that incident, they were much more reserved afterward. They couldn't help but looked at Zhang Yuanbao all the time and their lips curved upward uncontrollably but they dared not reached out to him again, worried that they would scare away their oldest grandson.

Yan Shuyu, who had witnessed all that, was happy. From what Ye Rongchen had told her previously, she thought his parents were fond of neither herself nor her son. As it turned out, she was the only one that they disliked and the little kiddo was just collateral damage. Now that they have seen their oldest grandson alive and well in front of them, the elders had fallen in love with him immediately.

The cautiousness and awkwardness from the authoritative Father and Mother Ye toward a 7-year-old child probably suggested a feeling of guilt on their part.

That was all Yan Shuyu needed to know. She felt much better now. All she cared about was whether they cared about her son wholeheartedly. After all, happiness was important and she was not one to dwell on the details.

Mother Ye was still going on. "Yuanbao's generation uses the 'Heng' character in their names. Why don't we change his name to Ye Hengjia? We can still refer to him as Yuanbao or Yuanjia in private."

Yan Shuyu didn't want them to change his name. She felt that Zhang Yuanjia was a pretty good name already and also quite fitting for a male lead of a romance novel. For sure she was the one who came up with it originally.

There was not much she could say or do as far as adding his name onto the genealogy was concerned other than following their rules and changing his name to Ye Hengjia. At least part of her original effort was retained. Yan Shuyu was pleased about that. Patting the little kiddo, she asked with a smile, "What do you think?"

Zhang Yuanjia nodded without any objection. He even knew to express his appreciation. "Thank you, Grandma."

"You are welcome." Mother Ye had a big smile on her immediately and she took the opportunity to chat with him. "Great Grandpa and Great Grandma along with many aunties and uncles will be home to meet you day after tomorrow..."

The Zhou was not a big family and, before that, it was just Zhang Yuanjia and his mother. He didn't think that he'd one day come across all these terms that he had only heard of from textbooks before. His eyes widened curiously.

Seeing that he was interested in the topic, Mother Ye went into further details. She even mentioned to him about returning to their old home in Yiyang and have an official ceremony in a temple to show their appreciation to their ancestors. Zhang Yuanjia found all of those very interesting. Mother Ye changed the subject abruptly and said, "Our Yuanbao likes piano, right? Grandma will go with you to buy a piano tomorrow so you can play for her in the future. What do you think?"

Zhang Yuanjia nodded inadvertently and only noticed that perhaps he should not have done that after he had done so. He quickly turned to look at his mother.

Yan Shuyu wasn't someone that petty. The fact that Mother Ye was able to get close to her son so quickly partly was due to her ability and patience but also because she truly cared about the little kiddo. Her son for sure wasn't a Foolish, Fair, and Sweet who'd lose his mind when someone just sweet talk him a little. Yan Shuyu didn't mind that at all. She nodded and said, "Sure, you can go."

Zhang Yuanjia, even after his mother's approval, did not forget about his good brother. He quickly reached out, held his hand, and said, "And Xiao Yi is coming with too."

Before Yan Shuyu could say anything, Mother Ye had already nodded like someone without any principles. "Sure, bring your brother with too."

Yan Shuyu couldn't help but sighed that such was the power of a skipped generation. The elegant and graceful Mother Ye no longer resemble a high lady in front of her oldest grandson.

And, just like that, plans had been made happily. Ye Rongchen came with his father and mother early next morning to pick the children up. Yan Shuyu and the boss did not join them. The two planned to take the opportunity to look at houses.

Even though the boss said they would be buying properties in the capital, but that really was not necessary. He had properties over the entire world and, naturally, quite a few in the capital as well. All of them in wealthy and nice locations.

Yan Shuyu's job was to pick up a couple that she liked from all of these and communicate her ideas with the remodeling team. Then all was left was just for them to be readied for moving in. After all, now that her son had rejoined the Ye family, they would probably be traveling here quite often over the summer and winter holidays and would be staying for a while each time. It was best to decorate them to her likings.

They spent quite a few days in the capital and went with the Ye family to visit their home town and, finally, Zhang Yuanjia's "magnificent act of rejoining the Ye family had come to a conclusion and his name had officially be changed to Ye Hengjia.

Yan Shuyu didn't have too much time to feel emotional about that before the boss had dragged her back to start the wedding planning. The very first thing that needed her attention was to pick out a location. The boss had someone brought over information on a few private islands and had her picked one out of them.

Yan Shuyu was very dumbfounded at first. Rich people were this upscale already? Not even a yacht or a castle was good enough? Now a private island is the standard?

Once she started reading the information and watching the video clips on these islands, she was excited right away. So wonderful to be getting married. They even own the private island and could name it with their anniversary. The boss was truly wonderful.
