Yang Zifeng had a good relationship with Yan Shuyu and he was never one who liked to beat around the bush. He had always spoken his mind in front of her.

This time, however, he was like a different person. He struggled with his words for a long while before he was finally able to get out what he had intended to under Yan Shuyu's encouraging look. What he had said, however, baffled Yan Shuyu. "Yanyan, did you mention to Boss Zhou that I asked if you wanted to become partners earlier in the year?"

Yan Shuyu was stunned a little. She had no idea why he brought that up out of the blue but nodded anyway. "Yeah, I might have mentioned it to him in passing."

"You did?" Yang Zifeng seemed to be somewhat excited.

Yan Shuyu gave him an even odder look. "I live with the man and, unless he was on a business trip, he is home every night. We are together day in and day out; it's only normal that we'd chitchat occasionally. What's with your overreaction?"

"If you were just yakking with him over minute stuff, I wouldn't be reacting this way. That being said, it was quite surprised that a man of his caliber had time to chitchat with you." Yang Zifeng explained but, before Yan Shuyu could say anything, he carried on, "But that wasn't why I am here. A few days ago, an elite-looking man came looking for me. According to his business card, he was a senior financial manager at some well-known finance company. He introduced himself as Boss Zhou's personal financial consultant..."

As far as he had gotten, Yan Shuyu could tell that what her little buddy was about to share with her was something fairly serious. She couldn't help but interjected, "What did the boss's personal financial consultant want to talk to you about?"

Yang Zifeng stopped abruptly and gave her a peculiar look. "You call Boss Zhou 'boss' in private? How interesting."

Yan Shuyu, "....”

She had always been referring to Zhou Qinhe as boss in her mind but she had never divulged that to anyone. She had not only slipped and let her little buddy find out about her "term of endearment" for Boss Zhou but was also teased for it. Yan Shuyu suddenly blushed uncontrollably but said stubbornly. "Are you going to finish off what you were saying?"

After her multiple interruptions, Yang Zifeng had lost his interest to tease her. "I'll make it simple. Naturally, this high and mighty financial guy came because his employer, your boss, asked him to. He said he likes my project and was willing to invest 20 million yuan for 40% ownership."

Yan Shuyu didn't care about being teased by her little buddy. All of her attention was on the business end.

Yan Shuyu knew nothing about business so she had no idea whether 20 million yuan for 40% ownership was a lot. She had, however, been with the boss long enough to go from the girl whose heart bled over the 2 million yuan check to the one who was not phased by 20 million yuan. She even asked curiously, "Do you not like the offer?"

"Of course I like it. I would never be able to get a better offer than this." Yang Zifeng figured that she probably didn't understand the nitty gritty details so he explained to her in the simplest way possible. "Boss Zhou putting in 20 million but only asking for 40% ownership means that he would not be interfering with managerial decision in the future. That's not an investment; that is closer to a charity case, alright?"

Yan Shuyu sort of got it but not really. She asked again, "So, did you accept the offer?"

Yang Zifeng shook his head and said, "I told them I will need a couple days to think it over?"

"Why?"

"Because he wasn't asking for ownership for himself on his investment." Yang Zifeng stopped and looked at Yan Shuyu without blinking at this point.

Stunned a little, Yan Shuyu asked uncertainly, "Don't tell me it's for me."

"Congratulations. You figured it out."

Yan Shuyu was stunned speechless. She had an inkling earlier but was still stunned when she heard the answer. The boss was going to spend 20 million on an investment for her? That was a large amount and she had no idea about it at all.

Yang Zifeng was still going on and on about it. "Per the gentleman, Boss Zhou indicated that we don't need to let you know ahead of time. He has an authorization letter and we can just sign the contract. It looks like he was preparing for a surprise for you."

Having said that, he rubbed his chin and abruptly leaned into Yan Shuyu and asked, "Is Boss Zhou about to propose to you and wanted to have some pre-marital properties set up for you?"

Manager Yang's bold speculation was what Yan Shuyu heard when she recollected herself. She couldn't help but rolled her eyes. "Why don't you say that he was preparing a lump sum so he can break up with me?"

Why would he prepare pre-marital properties? If they were to get married, what belonged to the boss would also be hers.

"Break up with you?" Yang Zifeng rolled his eyes more so than she did. "The Boss Zhou who would go substitute your class for you amidst his busy schedule wants to break up with you? You have got to be out of your mind."

The two of them could not reach an agreement so they had to shelf that discussion for the time being. Something occurred to Yan Shuyu and she asked, "They said to do it on the downlow. Are you telling me about it because you are not interested in his investment?"

"If I am not interested in Boss Zhou's investment, I would have turned him down when they approached me," replied Yang Zifeng honestly. "But we are such good buddies, I can't possibly sell for you for 20 million yuan. If you like the idea, you can get a cut of my profit going forward. Everybody's happy. If you don't want the shares, can you talk to your boss and have him invest under his own name? It's not every day that I can run into a generous investor like that."

The boss was so nice to her that even Yan Shuyu felt that she should defend him. She grumbled, "He's not fool with lots of money."

"I never said that he is." Yang Zifeng quickly clarified himself. "He's my Daddy now. My Investor Daddy!"

See that his little buddy's face relaxed, he couldn't help but teased her, "And you just vowed that no way he is going to propose to you. Look here, you are already way over on his side."

Yan Shuyu bickered with her little buddy a little bit more and time seemed to have slowed to a crawl while she waited for the boss to come home from work. As soon as he stepped inside the door, she grabbed onto him immediately and said, "Manager Yan came looking for me in the day time."

Boss Zhou, stepping inside, handed his coat over to her, chuckled, and asked, "Oh yeah? What did he say to you?"

Having something on her mind, Yan Shuyu docilely taken the coat from him and carried it behind him as he walked into the living room. She taken a few looks at him but, as usual, she couldn't read anything from his look. She brought the subject up to him point blank, "He told me that he spoke with your personal financial manager a few days ago."

Zhou Qinhe sat down on the couch and patted the spot next to him gesturing Yan Shuyu to sit down as he smiled and said, "He really shares everything with you, doesn't he?"

A realization suddenly dawned on Yan Shuyu. She tossed his coat aside and sat down next to him with a bright smile. "Are you jealous?"

Naturally, it would take a lot more for the boss to feel jealous. Stroking her long hair with his palm, he said in a reassured tone. "I could tell that he truly has your best interest in mind and that would not change lightly. He is a good friend."

Yan Shuyu felt the same way but, for some reason, she got a crazy idea when she heard the boss's words. "Is that why you were testing him that way?"

"Of course not." The boss busted out laughing. "I am serious about investing in his business."

"Why?"

"Sunshine House had earned its reputation online a while ago and had been holding its own. I've had someone looked into it and it will make a worthy investment."

He omitted to tell her the fact that its ROI, nevertheless, was not great compared his other projects. Zhou Qinhe paused and carried on. "Besides, Sunshine House is a meaningful place for us. Don't you want to see it do better and better?"

She got it right away when the boss put it that way. It was during the time that she was working at Sunshine House when the two of them got closer and closer with each other and finally became a couple. They had a lot of memories there and it was where their relationship happened. Much like many artistic young people enjoyed revisiting the location. of their first date from time to time, the boss's idea was very romantic as well. But the rich had a different idea of what was romantic.

Yan Shuyu blushed uncontrollably and said softly, "I am asking why are you giving me the shares."

She didn't have a problem with the boss turning their location into a hot dating site at all. In fact, she was somewhat happy about it~

Zhou Qinhe chuckled again and said nonchalantly, "I recall you regretted for a long time after turning down the shares from Manager Yang."

"I did?" Yan Shuyu cocked her head as she tried to recall what she had told the boss but couldn't recall any details. Just like she had told Manager Yang, she had small talks with the boss every day. Even the very quiet little male lead started talking more under the influence of her and her instant son. That ought to show how much she enjoyed talking at home.

It was only natural for someone who liked to talk so much to share what was bothering her on her mind. Being a shareholder sounded so Tall, Big, and Classy. It sounded like a rich person. She never imagined that she would one day possess something so "luxurious". She didn't accept the offer from Manager Yang because she didn't want to take advantage of her little buddy. It didn't mean she wasn't tempted. She probably brought it up to the boss in passing because she felt regretful about it.

"You want to give me shares because I regretted about it?" Yan Shuyu never quite get the concept of subtlety. She looked at Zhou Qinhe with her sparkly eyes.

Zhou Qinhe was already used to the way that she talked. Pausing for a little bit, he reached out his hand, stroked her hair, and nodded silently.

Yan Shuyu was very touched but her mind always skipped around. Another idea occurred to her suddenly and she looked up at the boss and asked, "I have also said that I regret turning down the opportunity to be a star. How come you didn't help me with that?"

Zhou Qinhe pursed his a little, almost looking villainous. There was undeniable aura in his very casual tone, "That is not going to happen."

The boss had, once again, exuded an aura that could keep one from keeping one's knees together. Yan Shuyu couldn't resist at all and couldn't help but scooted closer to him and looked at him with her eyes beaming. "Are you worried that when become very popular and have too many fans, I won't just belong to you?"

Zhou Qinhe lowered his head, chuckled, and actually admitted to it. "Yes, I wanted to treasure you for myself."

When Yan Shuyu caught the word "treasure", she smiled so much that her eyes turned into crescent moons. She felt as sweet as being coated by honey.

Yan Shuyu finally decided on accepted the gift from the boss.

On the front it was because of the romantic way that the boss had presented it. He had presented Sunshine House as the location where they had affirmed their love for each other. How could she possibly resist that? As such, when the boss explicitly stated that he would not be investing if she didn't want the shares, she had changed her mind.

Truth was, being with the boss for so long, she had already been corrupted by sugar-coated capitalism. 20 million was no longer a lot of money in her eyes and, as such, she didn't feel too uncomfortable about accepting it either.

Yan Shuyu, however, was not the happiest person in this. Yang Zifeng was the happiest one. Even though judging from the number of shares that Boss Zhou had requested, he showed no intention of interfering with management, but Manager Yang was much happier that the investor was Yan Shuyu, even if it was only in name.

Boss Zhou's aura was too fierce. He might seem gentlemanly in front of others but he only truly reined them all in in front of Yan Shuyu. He was still fairly intimidating when he was around others.

Manager Yang knew that he would feel a lot of pressure if the major investor was Boss Zhou. It was much better now that his little buddy was the primary investor with Boss Zhou be their willing ATM. It was the best of both worlds. Yang Zifeng felt very happy and motivated. He started launching his grand plans as soon as he received the capital.
