On Christmas Day, Zhang Yuanjia and Zhou Yi went to "pick" their Christmas presents from the tree happily.

Yan Shuyu got them toys as did the boss. Even though both of them got them toys, the boss's presents were much more generous than Yan Shuyu's. Not only were the two kids excited over the two sets of LEGO, even Yan Shuyu was a little bit envious. She, too, was just a baby and she wanted LEGO also!

As such, when she was on a date with the boss later on, she couldn't help but linger in front of the LEGOs. She finally gave up on that as she recalled her earlier bold determination to get the boss good in presents.

Yan Shuyu, who was always true to her words, dragged the boss with her to the purse counter. She finally carefully picked out a Fendi purse which cost just a tad over 10,000 yuan after discount.

Boss Zhou even asked her caringly, "Is this all you want?"

Yan Shuyu held onto the purse and nodded with a very satisfied look on her. She knew that the purse she picked wouldn't even make the boss blink an eye, let alone making him hurt. But that would be alright, she liked it a lot. She had never owned a purse that cost more than 4-digit her entire life. Now that she could have a purse that cost more than 5 digits, it was for sure a big upgrade.

Zhou Qinhe smiled when he paid and asked her gently, "Want to look around some more?"

Yan Shuyu was already very pleased with her new purse. With her arm in the boss's, she said, "Nah, let's go watch our movie."

After Christmas came her son's performance. As Instructor Lin had made a point to let her know that she could invite friends and relatives so it would be livelier in the audience stance, Yan Shuyu casually asked the boss after giving it some thought.

Just like Yan Shuyu, Zhang Yuanjia, too, had extended his invitation to his little buddy Zhou Yi. As such, it was the four of them together again on the day of.

The boss had become more and more down to earth as of late. Not only did he find time to attend these events with them, he also brought along his camera and said that he'd take a lot of pictures of Yuanbao when he was on stage.

Yan Shuyu was pleasantly surprised at how caring the boss was. "You are so considerate. You even brought the camera."

Boss Zhou smiled humbly. "A coworker reminded me."

Now Yan Shuyu was curious. "You talked about this with your coworkers?"

"We all have kids at home. So, yes, we talked about it occasionally."

Yan Shuyu hadn't expected that even elites like the boss would talk about something like that privately. She suddenly felt that the difference between elites and regular people might not be as big as she had initially thought.

What she didn't know was that the side effect of Boss Zhou's little "chitchat" was rumors going around the headquarter that the boss's relationship was getting serious. Some of them even reached out to Louis, their CEO's assistant, for more details.

That, of course, didn't have much to do with Yan Shuyu. Her main focus lied with her instant son. The camera did, indeed, prove to be very useful. When Yuanbao was performing on stage, they would be filming in the audience - the boss being responsible for taking pictures and Yan Shuyu and the little young master for cheering him on.

After the performance was over, the parents and the children had free time to wander around and tour the school ground. The four of them took even more pictures. Some portrait ones, some of the two boys holding hands. If they were to print out all of the pictures, it would fill way more than one album.

And then the performance was over. Yan Shuyu had a lot of fun taking pictures and had a great time.

She also hadn't expected that there would be more to this. Two weeks later, she received the boss's invitation to the little male lead's activities at his school. The little young master's kindergarten was much classier and more elegant than Yuanbao's. They even received an actual invitation and a classy one at that.

Yan Shuyu was dumbfounded when she saw that. Then, she questioned it from the bottom of her soul, "Xiao Yi had been attending kindergarten this entire time? Did that mean he skipped school the one week that he was over at my place?"

To think that she had slaved over it.

The boss acted even more innocent than she did when he was confronted. "We didn't tell you that he was in school?"

"No! You didn't!" Yan Shuyu was very distressed.

"Well, I don't think Yanyan asked either, did you?" said Boss Zhou with a smile. "Besides, Xiao Yi was only six months younger than Yuanbao. Isn't it normal that he is attending kindergarten? There didn't seem to be a point of bringing that up, am I right?"

That seemed somewhat reasonable? Now she was the one who was speechless. The little male lead was not her son and it didn't seem like it was her place to opine on whether he was attending kindergarten.

That being said, Yan Shuyu still felt a bit unjust. As such, the boss provided her with a better explanation. "Xiao Yi doesn't make friends as easily as Yuanbao does. He is always bored at school. Seeing how he likes being with you two so much, I figured I'd just go along with what he wanted. It's just kindergarten after all, it will be alright to skip a few days of it."

Yan Shuyu's lips twitched. She really wanted to mock the boss. She would have bought what he said had she not read the original novel. In the novel, the male lead might not have a lot of friends, but he was, for sure, not the one with no friends. The male lead's stepbrother and stepmother, with all their plotting and flattering might have made it seem like that, but in reality, they were the ones without any real friends. Which was why once things started to come tumbling down, everybody that they knew disappeared immediately. The male lead, on the other hand, had friends who'd stand by him and also the female lead who was by his side the entire time. He was arguably a very lucky man.

That was why Yan Shuyu instinctively rejected the boss's reason that the little male lead liked to be around them because he didn't have any friends at school.

That being said, lowering her head and taking a look at the little male lead with his iceberg face, she wasn't so certain anymore. Could it be that his good friends have not yet showed up and the little kiddo didn't have friends for the time being?

That new thought made it easier for her to accept the reason that the boss had provided. Struggling for a bit, Yan Shuyu finally accepted the little male lead's kindergarten invitation. The superb busy boss had taken time out to their activities, she couldn't possibly not reciprocate when it came to the little male lead.

On the day of the activity, Yan Shuyu wore her same dress again and went downstairs with Yuanbao in his suit and tie to wait for the boss downstairs. After this activity, they'd probably need more than two photo albums to hold all of the pictures.

When both little kiddos' activities were over, Yan Shuyu had also received her certification from her examination earlier and resigned from Sunshine House. Manager Yang, the nice and understanding man that he was, paid her on her last day.

In theory, now that she had left her old job and that Zhang Yuanjia was on his winter break, they could go on a trip for a few days before she started her new job. But as Yan Shuyu had decided to move to a bigger place, money was a bit tight for her so she decided against a relaxing trip or anything along that line. She started her job over at Male God Liu's place the day after she left Sunshine House.

After Yan Shuyu had departed Sunshine House, she did not grow apart from her little buddy Yang Zifeng, but the two of them had become closer to each other. When she was working at the coffee shop, Manager Yang didn't really have a lot of time to chat with Yan Shuyu while she was at work. Now things were different, Fengyu Musical Institution was very close to Yang Zifeng's house and Yan Shuyu's new job was much more relaxed, and the two of them could meet up whenever both of them were free.

In addition, Tongtong, Yang Zifeng's little niece, had always been attending Fengyu for lessons. Yang Zifeng, as the one in his family with the most free time, was responsible for picking up and dropping off his little niece. He'd usually just plop down on the couch when he was over and the two of them would jump into a game right away.

All in all, with her little buddy to hang out with from time to time, all the new coworkers were friendly, and her new boss being very nice to her as well, Yan Shuyu adapted very well to her new work environment.
