Any other time, Yan Shuyu would have told him with grievance that they had just sat down to eat and made him feel that his interrupting her having dinner was a heinous act. Now that she was reeled in by the boss’s charm, her attitude was excellent. She voluntarily spun her phone around and let him see the two kids sitting in front of the hotpot, their faces covered in grease.

After showing that to him for a few seconds, miser Yan Shuyu quickly turned the screen back to herself. Her eyes beamed when she looked at the boss on the screen. “We are having dinner right now~”

“I saw.” Zhou Qinhe smiled and nodded. “Xiao Yi and Yuanbao look like they are enjoying it a lot.”

Exactly. Hotpot was so good that even his son had forgotten about him. His loyal fan Zhang Yuanbao also did not react to Uncle Zhou’s video chat today.

Nevertheless, given that the boss was a whole new level of handsome today, Yan Shuyu decided against teasing him about it. Instead, she said, oh so righteously, “Poor Xiao Yi, when we decided to come for hotpot, he didn’t even know what hotpot is. He has never had something so delicious before. How awful is that?”

The boss hasn’t even commented on her giving the prestigious young master junk food, Yan Shuyu was the first to brag about her accomplishment.

That being said, Boss Zhou was already used to her braggy nature. Instead of being petty with her, he nodded agreeably, “You are right. That is awful. Luckily, he has you to take him out for good food.”

Yan Shuyu’s tail stuck straight up, and she nodded with a strong sense of responsibility, thinking that she was the only savior for the little male lead.

Her next thought was, if the younger one was so pitiful, the older one couldn’t be much better. She asked him directly, “Have you had hotpot before?”

“Once or twice when I was going to school.”

“I knew it,” said Yan Shuyu in complacency. “I will take you to the best hotpot when you are back. I guarantee that you will fall in love with it instantly.”

Boss Zhou, with a very appreciative look, said, “Well, I thank you in advance then.”

Yan Shuyu stuck out her chest proudly and felt very good about herself for being the savior for both the boss and his son.

Her newfound sense of responsibility did not let her forget about the kiddos in front of her. During her video chat with the boss, she still occasionally scooped out cooked meat and vegetables and divided them up equally between the two kiddos. Naturally, she would also scoop some meat for herself in between appreciating the boss.

Even as they were chatting and eating at the same time, Yan Shuyu was eventually full. It had been a whole hour since they had been there. Key was, she was already full, but Zhang Yuanjia and Zhou Yi, who had been eating nonstop the entire time, were still working on their food.

Yup, kids were trouble.

That being said, now that Yan Shuyu was done eating, she could focus on chatting with the boss instead of multitasking. That’s when she noticed that the furniture and décor over at the boss’s side looked very familiar.

That was odd. She had never been to the US before, so why would the background look familiar to her?

Yan Shuyu couldn't help but ask curiously. Zhou Qinhe went along and probably recalling how she did it earlier, he, too, spun the phone around the room. Then, looking at her casually, he asked, “Do you recall now?”

Yan Shuyu was baffled by what the boss had just said. She had never been there before, what did he mean by “do you recall now?”

She started speculating. Did the boss have properties in Texas also and he had it decorated the same way as his mansion here in China??

But the boss just shook his head when she said that. “Nope, keep thinking.”

Yan Shuyu, “……”

She really wanted to say that it wasn’t something that was worth mulling over, but seeing the very suggestive look on the boss, a thought occurred to her suddenly. She blurted out, “I get it. This room is identical to the one in Dorsett!”

At this time, Yan Shuyu only felt that it was funny – there was an internal rumor at Dorsett that the secret boss has his own room at every major hotel worldwide, not only the furniture and decors in these rooms were identical, even the locations of the vases were identical.

Even if the boss had not been to all of these locations, they were still prepared for him.

As much as everybody had heard about it, nobody had actually seen them before with their own eyes. It was but a rumor within the hotel staff. Now that she had seen it with her own eyes, Yan Shuyu couldn't help but feel a novelty of just witnessing a miracle.

Her thought process might have been healthy and straightforward, but the boss, from the other end, was pleased. He smiled and said, “Seems like you have a lasting impression then.”

Why was he so pleased about that? Yan Shuyu hesitated for a second then, she finally got what the boss was getting at. His room, Dorsett, that night…

Yan Shuyu, who had always bragged to be an experienced driver, suddenly blushed disappointingly. After all, taking advantage of someone when they were incapacitated was probably the darkest history in her life that she would never be able to get rid of.

Yan Shuyu’s eyes flickered madly for a while. Embarrassed, she changed the subject. “Emm… oh yeah, how come you are already awake? How much sleep did you get?”

“About 4.5 hours. I rested on the plane as well,” said Zhou Qinhe nonchalantly. He was obviously already used to this kind of schedule. “It’s about time to take care of some of the work that has been piling up. I have a meeting at 9 AM.”

Boss Zhou didn’t feel there was anything wrong with that. Yan Shuyu, on the other hand, felt her heart ache as she looked at that jade-like elegant face. Not getting enough rest was very detrimental for someone as attractive as him. It pained her so just thinking about the boss having pimples or wrinkles for working too much or worse, male-pattern baldness or a beer gut. “You need more rest!”

The boss, naturally, had no idea what had gone through her mind but was very appreciative of her extreme reaction. The corners of his lips rose up and a very soothing smile appeared on him. “Yanyan.”

“Huh?” replied Yan Shuyu, baffled.

“Do you want to see sunrise in Texas?”

“Yes.” Yan Shuyu nodded decisively. Never mind about sunrise, she had never even seen the moon from the US before.

Zhou Qinhe adjusted the camera and disappeared from the screen. He was replaced by a large floor to ceiling window. The camera moved outward gradually, moving from ground with some shadows to a fountain in a plaza not too far away. Then, there was a woody forest. The camera continued to move higher and higher, and as it got closer to the top of the mountain, she could somewhat make out the pink morning clouds behind the forest with their color becoming darker and brighter. Finally, the camera went beyond the peak of the mountain and half a sun appeared within her sight.

The scene was stunning at first glance and Yan Shuyu let out an ignorant cry. “Wow, this is way too pretty.”

Zhou Qinhe did not rotate the camera back around. Leaning against the window as though they were watching the sunrise together romantically, he chuckled and said, “Too bad you are not here with me.”

Yan Shuyu nodded. She couldn’t have agreed more. It was a bummer that she couldn’t go see the sunrise with the boss. Then again, it wasn’t like she could afford to go anyway.

She was able to calm herself right away, then she realized that it was wrong for her to appreciate this scene all by herself. She turned to the two kiddos and asked, “Do you two want to see the sunrise? It’s very pretty.”

After over an hour, Zhang Yuanjia and Zhou Yi were both full. They both rubbed their round bellies, exchanged a look, and slipped off of their seats.

The seats were a bit on the tall side for their heights. Zhang Yuanjia even acted like a big brother and gave his little buddy a hand. The two cuties went over to Yan Shuyu and flanked her on both sides, gluing onto her affectionately.

Yan Shuyu hadn’t expected the two kiddos would come over together. She took off her earpiece and switched to the speaker. “Okay, now say hi.”

The little kiddos looked into the phone. All they could see was the colorful clouds and had no idea where daddy/Uncle Zhou was. While they were hesitating, Zhou Qinhe’s gentle voice came over the phone. “Xiao Yi, Yuanbao, how was dinner?”

Zhang Yuanjia and Zhou Yi both nodded at the same time. “Yummy.”

Zhou Yi couldn't help but lower his head, “Daddy, where are you?”

“I am showing you the sunrise right now.” Zhou Qinhe smiled and said, “You don’t need to come so close. I can see you.”

The little male lead lifted his head back up docilely. Together with his little buddy, he video chatted with his father for a little while. Yan Shuyu’s job was done, and she asked for the check.

After they had finished chatting and watching the sunrise, Zhou Qinhe adjusted the camera back to the front, and his handsome and elegant face appeared in front of everyone again. Smiling, he asked, “Where are you going after dinner?”

He was, obviously, asking Yan Shuyu. She replied happily, “To go see the water fountain. Timing is perfect right now.”

Zhou Qinhe nodded slightly and said, “Alright. I should get some work done as well.”

Little Zhou Yi seemed to be very familiar with that saying. Before Yan Shuyu and Zhang Yuanjia finished processing what was the meaning of that, he already waved his little hand. “Okay. Bye, Dad.”

Yan Shuyu also said to him, “Don’t worry. After we went to look at the fountain, we will go and play with bumper cars on the plaza. Xiao Yi will be home around 8 PM at the latest.”

Zhou Qinhe answered, “A little bit later than that will be fine too. As long as you have fun.”

The boss was right. After visiting the fountain, she happily took the two kids to the bumper cars. Mostly because she wanted to play as well. She had her fix after half an hour, but the two kids didn’t want to leave at all.

Yan Shuyu, “……”

She suddenly wanted to ask online what it was like to dig one’s own grave. =.=

Even the most well-behaved kids have their moments. There was nothing that Yan Shuyu could do if they didn’t want to listen to her except to keep on playing with them. By 9 PM, the two very energetic boys looked like they could still keep going. Yan Shuyu, on the other hand, was so tired that she was about to drop down onto her knees. She tried coaxing and threatening them at the same time. “Are you two done yet? Many little kids have gone home obediently already. I am about to die from exhaustion. If we stay any longer, there will be no one to take you home!”

She figured that if that failed, she might have to ask for the boss’s long-distance help and have him make a call to hand down the ultimatum.

Luckily, Zhang Yuanjia and Zhou Yi weren’t that bad. Quite the contrary, their reactions were very heart warming. When Zhang Yuanjia heard the “die from exhaustion” part, he quickly abandoned the steering wheel, rushed over, put his arms around her, and started blowing at her, “Fuu fuu fuu. Fuu fuu will take the pain away~”

Zhou Yi had no idea what was going on, but kids were very good at imitating. Hearing what his little buddy was saying, he, too, had come over quickly. “Fuu fuu.”

Yan Shuyu wasn’t sure if she should laugh or cry. “Fuu fuu can only make pain go away. I am worn out by the two of you. I won’t recover so quickly.”

Even though she was saying that, the two little kiddos were still blowing at her stubbornly. Neither one of them would stop.

Yan Shuyu felt both helpless and touched. “Okay, let’s go home now. We will come again next time. Okay?”

Zhang Yuanjia and Zhou Yi didn’t want to leave but still let her pick them out of the cars. Yan Shuyu paid for the rides and texted Zhang Yang on their way out.

On their way to the plaza, Zhang Yang had already told her that the parking lot was a bit far from there and added her on WeChat. She just needed to text him when they were done and he’d bring the car around.
