After all the food and beverage, Zhang Yuanjia started to get sleepy. He didn’t feel it back in the restaurant when they were eating, drinking, and bickering. But now that his mother had carried him into the car, Zhang Yuanjia couldn't help but rub his eyes and said softly, “Mom, I’m sleepy.”

“Then close your eyes and take a small nap. You can even lean back in this seat. Comfortable, right?” Yan Shuyu patted the child’s seat. She wasn’t surprised that he was sleepy, after all, he had the habit of napping.

Thinking about it some, she looked up at the other little boy who was just placed in the car. “Xiao Yi, do you want to take a nap too?”

Zhou Yi also rubbed his eyes and said, “Yes.”

“Okay. Then both of you close your eyes and stop talking. We will be at the musical institution when you wake up.”

Zhou Qinhe, after buckling his son in, took a look at them and pulled out two blankets from the trunk of his car. One of them was quite big. He spread it out and covered both kids with it. He then handed the other one to Yan Shuyu.

“I am fine, really. I am not in the habit of taking naps. Hahaha.” Yan Shuyu was being polite verbally, but she accepted the warm and comfortable blanket from him. Once she got inside the car, she wasn’t shy at reclining the seat, wrapping herself up in the blanket, and happily starting to play on her cellphone.

With the one adult and two kids being so relaxed, Zhou Qinhe, who had been keeping himself busy, seemed more pitiful than ever.

When Yan Shuyu caught his side profile out of the corner of her eyes, she suddenly remembered why the boss didn’t have a chauffeur today. The back seat had already been taken by the two child seats and wouldn’t fit a third person. The passenger seat could hold one. With a chauffeur, there just wouldn’t be enough room for the four of them.

They could use two cars, but it’d seem both wasteful and not environmentally healthy having two cars for such a small event. It was much better for the boss to just drive.

After the sumptuous meal that afternoon, the boss had scored quite a few points with Yan Shuyu. She felt bad for the boss for two seconds seeing as how he had treated them to lunch and had to wait on them.

But she didn’t feel bad for too long. She spared all of a few seconds of attention for the boss before she was distracted by the internet. She yawned as she happily surfed the web. Slowly, she had also drifted off to sleep in a very unsightly way much like the two kids in the back.

Yan Shuyu, who hadn’t planned on taking a nap, was woken up by the boss. She felt that she had only napped for a few minutes, but when she looked at the clock and saw that it was almost 2 PM, she fretted a little. “We are going to be late.”

“No, we won’t. We are already here,” said the boss calmly.

Yan Shuyu looked out the window when she heard him say that and noticed that they were parked in a spot right in front of the musical institution. She gave him a thoughtful look and asked, “We have been here for a while?”

“No, not too long ago.”

Zhou Qinhe sounded nonchalantly, but Yan Shuyu got an odd sensation, like she was being pampered.

She must keep in mind that the boss, who made decisions on millions of yuan every minute, had put aside his million-yuan business transactions, stooped to their levels and took them out to lunch, played the role of their chauffeur, and even wasted his time on waiting on them when they had fallen asleep in his car. Even though the boss didn’t exactly do all those things for her and that his own son was also sleeping in the car, as part of the beneficiary, Yan Shuyu also felt slightly prideful.

Such a wealthy and gentlemanly boss, Yan Shuyu felt that she had let a big fish go by giving him up.

But her feeling of regret didn’t last very long. She was back to reality shortly and proceeded to unbuckling herself, bringing her seat back up, and folding up the blanket. After she had recharged her entire health bar, she pushed open the door and said loudly, “Kiddos, it’s time to get up! The sun is shining on your butts already!”

The “kiddos” woke up one by one and stretched. Then, they were carried out of the car.

Yan Shuyu, who was well fed and well rested, continued to hold onto one kid in each hand and proceeded to walk into the musical institution with her head held high. The very next second, she heard the accusatory voice of Manage Yang, “Yanyan, you brought Boss Zhou? You promised me you will be on my team!”

Manager Yang looked at her with the grief and indignation equivalent to that of someone who had just caught his lover cheating on him, and the boss gave her a smile that was not a smile. Yan Shuyu felt her head throbbing. “No, I didn’t. I wasn’t… we are all friends. Naturally I have to extend the invitation to you when something fun is going on.”

Liu Ci, who happened to notice them, walked over to greet them as well. “Boss Zhou, Yanyan, you have arrived…”

Liu Ci didn’t know that Boss Zhou was going to attend until just now.

Nevertheless, they had met once before. After their meeting last time, Liu Ci looked up Zhou Qinhe afterward and confirmed that he was, indeed, the legendary Boss Zhou. He was emotional about that. Just the thought that he had just started his business and they weren’t even qualified to solicit venture capitalist, an opportunity to meet a bankroller such as Boss Zhou was naturally very exciting. Yan Shuyu summarized it for him. “Boss Zhou’s son wanted to hang out with Yuanbao and I slipped and told him about this event, then they decided to come with for the fun of it.”

“Okay, I can understand them wanting to come. But do you need to come together?” Yang Zifeng was no idiot. “I offered to pick you up, but you turned me down.”

Yan Shuyu felt that it was much easier to take the subway instead of having Yang Zifeng pick them up. But when he put it that way, now it sounded like she had ditched a friend for a guy. She explained herself quickly, “Boss Zhou wanted to take us out for lunch to show his appreciation, which was why we came over together after lunch.”

“Oh? Where did he take you?”

“Seafood.” Yan Shuyu thought about it for a second and also gave him the name of the restaurant.

“Tsk tsk tsk…” Manager Yang looked it up, gave her a profound look, and continued sending her messages on WeChat. “And here you told me that there is nothing going on between the two of you. You are totally overreacting right now.”

Yang Zifeng’s look wasn’t as profound as that of Boss Zhou. There were certainly advantages to being difficult to read. To Yang Zifeng and the lot, Boss Zhou had always been difficult to read, so they couldn’t tell much right now.

Yan Shuyu: “……”

She wanted to explain how the boss was interested in her previously, but she held her ground and refused to bow down in the face of money and turned him down. But then again, she had already explicitly turned down the boss, providing Manager Yang with all the details would add no value other than giving him gossiping materials. So she decided to keep the “story” to herself and made her counterattack. “That’s because you caught me off guard. What was that all about?”

Yang Zifeng: “……”

At the end of the day, the activity today was about the kids, so as soon Zhang Yuanjia and Zhou Yi had arrived, an instructor came and took them to meet the other kids, one of them being Tongtong, whom Zhang Yuanjia likes a lot. As such, Zhang Yuanjia held Zhou Yi’s hand like a big brother as they followed behind the instructor.

Now that the kiddos are gone and the boss is being entertained by the male god, Yan Shuyu has all the time in the world to chat with her little buddy.

Perhaps, they were too carried away while chatting, so the boss seemed to have felt ignored.

Zhou Qinhe silently casted Yan Shuyu a glance then. Smiling at Liu Ci, he asked, “Yanyan said there are lots of fun activities planned today. When do they start?”

Just as Liu Ci had had guessed previously, it was now confirmed that Boss Zhou was, indeed, brought here by Yan Shuyu. He casted Yan Shuyu an appreciative look. She was such a worthwhile friend; giving her the cello was totally worth it.

He had mainly decided to hire her for the sake of Zhang Yuanjia. But now, he started looking forward slightly to the day she had completed her certificate examination and started as an employee.

Yan Shuyu, suddenly cued by the male god, returned with a dazed look while clutching her cellphone. That’s when she heard Male God Liu say to them, “The activities are about to start. Follow me.”

Yang Zifeng wasn’t entirely kidding when he said Yan Shuyu was on his team. The guests today were mainly the kids, for the purpose of warming them up for Galaxy Musical Institution’s official grand opening next month. As these kids were student hopefuls, they figured the best way to encourage enthusiasm from the kids was to have a lot of games with their participation.

In order to encourage the parents to join in, Liu Ci and his team had also prepared plenty of sizeable gifts for the parents as well.

Participants were to form teams of four. Had Zhou Qinhe not decided to barge in at the last minute, Yan Shuyu and Manager Yan would have formed a team together. But now that Zhou Qinhe stood blatantly next to Yan Shuyu, Yang Zifeng had no intention to compete with him, so he rationally held his niece’s hand and said to her, “I’ll go find myself some teammates.”

Having eaten the boss’s sumptuous lunch, Yan Shuyu had no grounds to ask Manager Yang to stay. She had no choice but to wave at him and said, “Good luck!”

Truth be told, what Manager Yan needed wasn’t luck. Naturally all the games planned by the musical institution had to do with music, which Yang Zifeng knew nothing about. What happened next made Yan Shuyu even happier. The boss, who seemingly had no interest in anything other than making money and scheming, turned out to be a treasure trove waiting to be discovered. He seemed to possess expertise in the areas of music, chess, literature, and painting. And the two kids were each better than the next.

With teammates like that, Yan Shuyu didn’t have to do much to win the games. She barely did anything before they took first prize – 30 free lessons at the institution in the musical instrument of the student’s choice.
