Even though Yan Shuyu had undergone a lot of struggle when she declined the boss’s offer, her biggest strength was that she didn’t let anything bother her for too long. As she watched the boss leave in his car, her struggle also dissipated, and she returned home happily.

When she dropped her son off at home, Yan Shuyu would wait until he finished bathing before she took off. This way, he could go to bed whenever he wanted and not have to wait for her to come home.

In the novel, the stepmom merely ended up in jail, nothing life-threatening. And, now that she possessed the knowledge of the plotline, she could at least try to save herself.

Yet the instant son’s ending was much worse. Not only did he die in the middle of the street, he didn’t even have an intact body when he died. Yan Shuyu didn’t even know where to start in order to save him. Her only option was to go with the dumbest method of all – stay away from the male lead and his father as far away as possible.

All in all, Yan Shuyu felt that she was a perfect, wonderful mother. If the little kiddo was not nice to her after he had grown up, she’d definitely have to hurt him.

Tongtong was the name of Manager Yang’s niece and Tongtong’s teacher would be the legendary Instructor Lin.

Yan Shuyu loved to see this happy-go-lucky side of him. It clearly showed that her education of him was still quite successful. She decided to stop teasing him. She pinched his soft and chubby cheek and said, “Then you must go to bed early and come wait with me at the shop for Tongtong’s teacher tomorrow.”

The little kiddo nodded softly and said, “Mom should go to bed early too.”

Yan Shuyu thought about it for a second and must admit that what he said was the truth. Manager Yang might seem the type who was silly and rich, but after all, his coffee shop business was going up and up. Compared to him, she was the naïve FWS. Thinking of that, she immediately changed to tune to, “I am so glad you came early, Manager Yang. I feel much better now!”

Yan Shuyu might be unconscientious, but she knew when to do the right thing. Yang Zifeng was pleased with her sincere apology and smiled again, “You owe me one if this works out.”

The fact that Yan Shuyu was looking to switch jobs was not shared with her colleagues until they knew what was going on, but all the little buddies at the restaurant had heard about how Zhang Yuanbao was handpicked by Manager Yang’s niece’s piano instructor and how they’d offer him free lessons just to have him as their student. There weren’t a lot of customers in the daytime, and the chefs in the back were about to start preparing their lunch. With the exception of the oddball Yan Shuyu, the other servers were mostly hardworking and motherly young girls. During these hours, most of them love to go watch the chef cook, and the ones who didn’t care about cooking would go and chitchat in the backroom.

With the competent Manager Yang rooting for her, Yan Shuyu definitely felt much better and started eagerly awaiting Instructor Lin as soon as lunch was over. She had a strong hunch that Instructor Lin would not make them wait too much today. After all, her son was so incredible…

Sure enough, Instructor Lin did not have them wait too long. She arrived around 1 PM.

Among the customers that were in groups of twos and threes, there was only one young woman sitting next to a window. Yan Shuyu was pretty sure she was Instructor Lin before she even walked up to her. The woman had noticed her as well. The young woman had on her a stunned look that Yan Shuyu was very familiar with when she saw Yan Shuyu walking toward her from afar. She stood up and greeted Yan Shuyu proactively and said, “You must be Ms. Yan. Hi, I am Lin Shuwen. When I saw Zhang Yuanjia for the first time, I thought to myself that his parents must be very attractive people. But I still didn’t expect that you would be such a graceful beauty.”

Yan Shuyu was the kind of person that lived off of praises and she’d never get tired of any kind of compliments. Not to mention Instructor Lin’s praises were so refined and artistic. She was ecstatic immediately. She shook hands with the artsy female instructor and said generously, “Hi, Instructor Lin. It was nice to meet you today. What would you like to get? My treat.”

Instructor Lin gave her an elegant smile and said to her, “I can’t possibly. I should be the one treating.”

The two had exchanged some pleasantries and the beverages and desserts came out, along with Yang Zifeng and Zhang Yuanjia. They snacked as they chatted, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. As Lin Shuwen was truly fond of Zhang Yuanjia, she was very agreeable to most little asks. Yan Shuyu could totally understand that. They have quickly reached an agreement on matters concerning Zhang Yuanjia. But when it came to Yan Shuyu wanting to work over at their venue, that was a little trickier. After all, her qualifications were on the lower side and even though they were just a training institution, it may negatively impact their credibility if the students’ parents found out that their instructors were of subpar quality. This was also why Instructor Lin had a more serious look after she heard the request.

Perhaps because she really liked Yuanbao a lot, she has still decided to give Yan Shuyu a chance and said, “Manager Yang, Ms. Yan, you must know that I am starting this with a few of my classmates with one of them being the majority owner. He was the one who has the final say. Maybe I can see if he has time tomorrow to come over and we can discuss this in more detail?”

Seeing the look on Instructor Lin’s face, Yan Shuyu realized that she was being a bit overly optimistic. Giving it some more thought, the whole thing made sense so she smiled and said, “That will be great. It will be fine whether we can work together or not. In any case, it won’t affect Yuanbao’s training at your institution.”

If she couldn’t become a piano instructor, then all the more her son needed to become a piano prince. This way, it would be easier for her to become rich and give her a better life~
