Yang Zifeng was as efficient as he has always been and wrapped up the electronic piano, delivered it to Yan Shuyu’s house, and installed it for her. Thus, little kiddo Zhang Yuanbao started his busy life of practicing the piano day and night.

When Yan Shuyu was teaching her son to play the piano before, she was mostly doing that for fun and had zero pressure. Now that her son was seriously learning to play the piano from her, the pressure had inevitably increased. She even pushed back my niece’s class this week. Just relax.”

“I know. Good things are worth the wait.” Yan Shuyu came to terms with it right away.

She wasn’t too worried that Instructor Lin wouldn’t follow through with her promise. Her son had been destined to become the villain. Before the story arc really started, he almost forced the male lead into a situation that even with his male lead halo he couldn’t get out. If he didn’t die at such a young age, he would for sure become a big BOSS. He was talented and attracted the eyes of many. And now that he has already gotten Instructor Lin’s attention, it was simply impossible for them to walk away from such a talented young genius.

All in all, Yan Shuyu was extremely confident about her instant son. She only felt bad for her poor self that had to juggle multiple roles.

This was her being self-deprecating. Yan Shuyu was very confident in herself. The problem being that the series of actions from the boss man just didn’t seem very much like he was trying to court her.

Naturally, she wouldn’t expect someone standing on the top of the pyramid such as Zhou Qinhe would turn into a puppy who followed her around, but there were still things that one should do when they were courting a girl – like talking to her on a regular basis, send her flowers from time to time, or ask her out to dinner, etc.

Yet what have the boss done so far?

He has sent her a total of 3 messages in the last 10 days. The first one said he had a good time. She replied with “good night” and that was it.

At first, Yan Shuyu was a little worried and wondered if her not-so-gentle message might have annoyed the boss. But after 2-3 days had passed and there was still nothing from the boss and he hasn’t shown up in the shop, Yan Shuyu started to feel better and forgot about the entire incident.

But, right when she felt relieved, she received a second message from the boss out of the blue. The content was confusing as well. It asked if she has been busy with work lately. To which Yan Shuyu replied with a standard “Quite. Thanks for asking.” And then that was that.

His third message was even simpler. He didn’t even bother with any pleasantries, but merely sent a picture of the little male lead attentively practicing his piano with his back straight.

Needless to say, this was the boss man bragging about his son to her and achieving the intended result. After all, it was not possible for Yan Shuyu to tell how good the male lead was with the piano from the picture, but she could tell in one glance that the piano he was playing on was a Steinway, the legendary Rolls Royce of pianos. Even the base model could easily cost in the millions. She has never seen the male lead’s one in the market either, so it might have been a custom made one. It could truly cost as much as a Rolls Royce.

Even though both little boys were starting to practice piano, the male lead’s first piano was a Steinway and her son was using a second hand electric one that he received as a gift. “You really wanted them to take your son off your hands, huh?” Teased Yang Zifeng. He then reminded her again, “Your qualification examination should be close too, right? Remember to ask her whatever questions you have when you meet up with her over the weekend.”

Yan Shuyu had already gathered all the information that she needed when she registered for the examination. Plus, she has this inexplicable self-confidence and felt that with her current level, she would no doubt pass the examination with flying colors, so she didn’t think much of Manager Yang’s reminder. She just nodded and said, “Okay, I will.”

Yang Zifeng could tell right away that she had totally missed his point. Now, he’d have to break it down for her, “Isn’t your purpose of earning the certification to switch to a better job? Instructor Lin is about to start her own music studio. You might want to talk to her about a job opportunity while you discuss about Yuanbao. You just might be able to start working there as soon as you earned your certificate. Wouldn’t that be nice?”

“Oh, yeah!” Now Yan Shuyu got it. Then, she gave Manager Yang a very dubious look and said, “But you are the boss here. Is it okay that you are giving your own employee ideas to switch jobs?”
