Today was the day, okay that's dramatic. I'm only meeting his parents how bad could it be right?

I decided on wearing something nice but, respectable. I didn't need them thinking, 'poor girl she doesn't know how to dress' so I called over Maya. Who by the way hasn't helped since we came down for lunch as she's to busy admiring the house.

Ryder was currently in his basement or 'Man Cave' as I call it, he says I'm never aloud in there. I'm still surprised I lasted this long without actually breaking that rule. Whatever it is, it has to be good maybe guns? Drugs? For all I know he has minions in there. Whatever he was doing in there needed to hurry up because, I wanted lunch and we usually ate together.

"Wow I could fit my room in this living room." Maya gaped, "I can't believe Jake was here before me that asshole." she exclaimed.

I smiled then quickly frowned, "Your supposed to be helping me." I whined crossing my arms as we moved to the kitchen.

"Black one low v neck slit down the middle." she stated blankly as if that was her answer this whole time, "Oh my god is that a chandelier." she said in awe as she looked up.

I sighed and shook my head at her.

"Yes it is." I heard Ryder's voice say from behind me.

"Hi love." he said softly when he approached me and kissed my lips gently and softly, I loved it.

"Hi Ryder." I said almost breathlessly.

"So quick replay of today." he said going around the counter opening the cabinets as I went over to the fridge, "My parents are coming at five." he stated while putting three plates down on the counter.

"Will all talk here until five thirty." I said restating what he told me earlier while I got the sandwich makings out.

"And then leave to dinner until six or seven." he said as him and I switched places in the kitchen. So he could get the bread out of the top cabinet. While I got a spoon out from the drawer so we could spread the condiments.

"Then come home and cuddle." I said happily as we met in the middle and he kissed me.

"Wow." I heard Maya say as she sat at the counter.

I smiled, "What?"

"When's the wedding?" she asked while grabbing a plate and starting to make her sandwich.

Ryder only smiled at that which made me blush leading to him kissing my cheek.

"Shut up." I said while starting to make my own sandwich.

"I'm serious you guys look like a married couple straight out of a movie." she said putting her sandwich together and taking a bite.

I rolled my eyes but, inside I was smiling. I loved knowing Ryder and I clicked so well we looked married already.

"Holy shit." Jake yelled earning a frown to form on Maya's face.

I raised my eyebrows at him as if saying 'seriously your girlfriends right next to you' in which he instantly turned to her.

"But, you would look so much better in it babe." he said desperately.

"Sure." she said with a tight smile.

I had just changed into the dress Maya picked out for me, she also curled my hair slightly. As for makeup I did a natural look only, lipstick and mascara. Only a couple hours after lunch Jake came to pick Maya up since Ryder's parents would be arriving soon.

I was now about to walk down the stairs but, maya told me to wait. Why? I have no idea.

"Okay." she said, that being the cue for me to start walking.

"You know I don't understa-" I paused sucking in a breath as I looked down.

I now knew why she told me to wait, Ryder came into my view as I started descending from the stairs. The first thing I noticed was his black suit which had a red flower in the pocket, he looked so good. It was like I was Cinderella or something but, with Ryder's eyes on me I felt like nothing. Only a puddle at his feet as my heart pounded out of my chest. I was relieved when I made it to the bottom without falling.

"Glad to know I take your breath away." he said with a smirk bringing me to him.

"Shut up." I said as my cheeks heated up while I stared at his shoes.

"Here." he grabbed the red rose from his pocket and tucked it behind my ear, "You look absolutely stunning." he added as he cupped my face as I instinctively leaned into his hand.

"Thank you, I guess you don't look to bad yourself." I managed to say as my hands clutched his suit.

"Oh not to bad? Huh?" he said while leaning in and dropping his hands to squeeze my sides in a ticklish manner.

"Mhm." I laughed as he closed the gap and met his lips with mine.

"And that's our cue to go." I heard Jake say.

I also heard there goodbyes but, was too busy kissing Ryder to give them one.

"Ryder." I breathed out.

I heard a groan come from him and knew he was happy in a certain place. This made me feel bad because, I knew I couldn't do anything about it.

"I'm sorry." The words slipped from my mouth making him instantly pull away.

"Don't ever say sorry." he said pecking my lips, "I love you and I'd wait forever." he said with a grin on his face.

This made a smile come to my face as well.

"Okay are you ready?" Ryder asked as I gave him a look.

"Just go open the door." I said with a smile and whacked his arm.

"Alright, alright." he said holding his hand out to me, "My lady." he gently spoke with a fake accent.

Almost five minutes after Jake and Maya left, his parents arrived. I was so nervous but, Ryder's goofy ways made me feel better. I slipped my hand in his and next thing I know I'm face to face with his parents.

Ryder hugged his dad and mom while kissing her on the cheek, "Mom, Dad this is Octavia my girlfriend." he introduced looking at me as if I was his whole world, "Octavia this is my mom, Marissa and my Dad, Daniel."

"Hi it's so nice to meet yo-" I was cut off by his mom grabbing me and pulling me into a hug in which I returned rather surprised.

"Oh your so beautiful." she said as she let me go and examined me, well that was unexpected.

Marissa was beautiful as well I could definitely see Ryder in her eyes, his father on the other hand was a definite much older version of him. The energy Marissa seemed to give off calmed my nerves for sure.

"Thank you so are you." I said back truthfully.

"And she's nice, good job boy." his dad said as he pat him on the shoulder, "Now where's the drinks." he said heading to the kitchen.

"Honey you old fart, be more respectful." Marissa said in a motherly tone.

"I was." he said back accusingly.

"I should smack you." she said walking along side him to the kitchen

This made me smile as Ryder came into my view.

"Now was that so bad?" he asked moving my hair behind my ear, the one without the flower as I shook my head.

"Not at all." I said grabbing his hand that was in my hair holding it and caressing it lightly.

"See." he stated blankly as his other hand made its way to my chin drawing small circles while we stared into each other's eyes, "I love you." he said softly.

"And I love you." I replied leaning up and kissing him.

That's when I realized nothing could ever be so bad as long as I had Ryder by my side.
