"Ughhh I would die." Maya sighed dreamily, then let herself collapse on my bed dramatically, arms spread out.

I had just finished telling her what happened between Ryder and I last night. It was amazing, the kiss we shared last night in the car it was more than just a kiss. It was a kiss filled with our emotions and how much we cared for each other deeply. I had just came back from my shift that Jeremy made me take, that evil child. Then I called over Maya and Jake to inform them of last nights events leaving out the secret keeping part.

"Ughhh." Jake repeated Maya's words in a high pitched girl voice, "I could just puke." he finished in his normal voice causing us to laugh.

Jake was sitting on the chair Ryder was once sat in when he was mad about Liam. Who I had yet to see since the party. While I was left to sit on a bean bag chair I had in my room.

"So are you guys just going to sneak around forever?" Jake questioned with a more serious tone than before while looking over at me.

"Ooh Romeo and Juliet part two." Maya added in jokingly which made me roll my eyes.

"Of course not." I stated, Jake raised his eyebrows knowingly, "Okay of course we are, my dad is so set on me not being with Ryder but, I can't help it." I said glumly.

"You're dead." Jake stated like it was a fact.

"I agree with Jake what if your dad finds out?" Maya asked becoming more serious since she sat up on the bed to look at me.

I stood quite for a moment not knowing what to say, what would happen if my dad found out? Would he hate me for disobeying him? Would I still get to be with Ryder?

"I...I don't know." I answered honestly, "All I know is he can't." I stated, looking at my two best friends who had sincere looks on their faces.

"Well moving on to brighter topics then." Maya smiled, this is why I love her, "Jacob and I have another date today." she said happily which made me automatically look at Jake.

He seemed to tense at that and clench his fists as he looked away from us, "Wow that's great Maya." I replied half genuine and half not.

I was happy for Maya but, sad for Jake.

"Jake, isn't that amazing?" Maya asked him expectingly, she always valued his opinion.

"Ugh yeah Maya that is amazing I'm uh happy for you." Jake said as enthusiastically as he could then he stood up, "I have to go now my mom wants help with something I'll see you guys later?"

"Alright." Maya whispered unsure, she seemed confused.

"Yeah bye Jake." I locked eyes with him and I just wanted to give him the biggest hug ever.

After he walked out I looked at Maya to see her still watching my bedroom door where Jake had just left.

"Was it something I said?" Maya asked then looked at me.

"No he said his mom needed help with something." I said trying to put on a good smile.

"Don't lie to me I'm not stupid Octavia, every time I bring up Jacob, he leaves the room why is that?" she questioned, irritation lacing her tone.

I didn't know what to say at all, "Maya stop you're just overthinking this, he had something he had to do for his mom." I restated what Jake had said.

"No you both are keeping something from me and I don't like it so when you both decide you want to tell me you know where to find me." she got up from my bed, grabbing her bag on the way out and left.

I was dumbstruck, I never knew Maya had any suspicion on what was going on. I sighed, and decided to call Jake to tell him about Maya's blow up.

"Hello." I heard Jake's voice say over the phone, sounding very sad.

"Hey so Maya knows that we've been keeping something from her but, doesn't know what." I explained getting straight to the point.

I heard Jake sigh before he answered, "It's not like I can tell her without her being freaked out."

"She wouldn't be freaked out Jake, maybe shocked more than anything." I replied.

"How did she know?" he asked.

"She noticed how you always leave when she brings up Jacob and now she won't talk to us until we're ready to tell her." I heard him sigh again.

"How could I simply tell her that I love her." he finished sadly, "While she loves Jacob."

"You don't know that she loves Jacob for sure." I claimed in all honesty.

"I just need to think Octavia I'll call you later okay?" he replied, he still sounded sad and I hated that he was sad.

"Okay I love you." I said softly as he said it back then hung up.

After that I laid on my bed for a second before I heard tapping on my window. I got up and opened the white curtains to see Ryder. What was he doing here, not that I wasn't totally happy about it. I opened the window instantly, seeing his face holding a mad expression as he climbed through.

"Hey-" I started but, he cut me off.

"Who were you talking to?" he asked sounding mad.

"How could you be mad at me already you barely came through the window." I threw my hands up in the air exasperated, this had to be a new record.

I was still a little upset about the Maya situation and this only made me more upset.

"Octavia I mean it." he stated with a stern voice, his eyes narrowing.

"Who are you even talking about there's no one-"

"I heard you say I love you to someone don't lie to me." he almost shouted, he needs to stop cutting me off I don't like it, he also needs to stop jumping to conclusions.

I sighed shaking my head, "It was just Jake we were talking over the phone and he was upset about Maya I was just comforting him." I sighed, crossing my arms over my chest and looking at his now soft gaze.

His features changed drastically and he looked at me with guilt. Good he should feel like that, I would never cheat on him.

"I'm sorry Octavia, I'm just stressed and upset about the whole thing with your dad then I decided to come see you and hearing that it ticked me off." he explained, rushing it all out as he started to come closer to me.

In which I backed up, "I'm just as stressed as you are about it that doesn't mean you can take it out on me and how do you think your accusation makes me feel?" I asked, staring at his shocked expression which made me realize, we've never argued before.

"I'm sorry I know I shouldn't have taken it out on you and I'm sorry that I thought you would do something I just...I'm crazy about you Octavia." he explained, coming closer every word.

By the time he was finished saying this he was cupping my face between his hands. I just stared at him in awe as I felt my heart ache at how special he makes me feel. I sighed and just leaned into this hands, closing my eyes.

"You know someone could have seen you come in right?." I asked after a while, opening my eyes to meet his.

"You know I don't care right." he repeated with a smile then caught my lips in his.

I couldn't help but, lean more into him, I needed this, I needed him.
