《The Sun and Moon and Stars✔》Epilogue

Third POV

The Vargo family gathered around the small tombstone in their backyard. June sat on her knees before everyone, crying. No one stepped forward to comfort her, knowing she needed to grieve alone. Only a mother knew what it was like to have a miscarriage, to lose a child you never got to know and love and cherish. Hell, she still hadn't gotten over almost losing Alaric. If it wasn't for her biting him when they were having sex, he would have been gone.

When June thought they weren't looking, she went to the garden and just stared at the Jasmines, an empty look in her eye.

The guys had talked about what to do, but finally decided to just let her self-medicate. It was something they knew would pass, so they showered her with affection, letting her know she was loved, until she felt whole again. And she would. Eventually.

"We love you Jasmine," they all said in unison then released their white sky lanterns. The rest of the night was spent watching them disappear into the starry sky and enjoying being with family.

"Mom?" Autumn asked from her place beside her twin, Audrey, who was fast asleep in Kelen's lap.

June looked up at her daughter, smiling. "Yes sweetheart?"

Autumn looked a little nervous to ask what was on her mind, but Kelen gave her an encouraging smile that made her nerves settle.

"Can you tell us about how you meet daddies again?"

There was a moment of silence before rich laughter filled the calm, night air. June nodded her head, looking over at Alaric. He was rocking Leo, the newest addition to the family.

"Well," Alaric began, his vampire red eyes twinkling with mischief, "it all started when I broke into your mother's house---"

Before he could get any further though, Elias groaned loudly. "Do we have to? We've heard this story a million times," he complained.

"Yeah," Kai agree, always one to follow his older brother. "Can't you tells us about how you saved the world."

"No, no. We want to hear how they fell in loveeeee," Alexa drawled with a dreamy sigh. She gazed at her mother with those different colored eyes, one brown and one blue.

"Girls are gross," Ben said, his nose scrunched up in disgust. All the girls glared at him, to which he shrugged.

"And boys have frog cooties," Lana countered in her usual sassy tone.

June and her husbands laughed at the kid's antics. Their non-stop bickering could get a little out of hand at times, but they all still loved each other.

Cas whispered something to the triplets, Fin, Ryker, and Bowen. They giggled then whispered what their dad had said to the other boys. They all looked at each other then ran at the girls, touching their arm.

"YOU HAVE THE FROG COOTIES NOW," Ben scream then ran away, laughing. His brothers did the same while the girls screeched and ran after them, trying to give the cooties back.

June tried to hide her amusement by glaring at her trouble-making husband. "Look at what you started," she scolded lightly.

Casbian shrugged, then walked over to her, giving her a passionate kiss. "How else were we supposed to get some alone time with you?"

June raised an eyebrow, looking at her other men. "You guys were in this to?"

They all nodded, not ashamed. At that she laughed lighty, pulling Cas back down for another kiss. "I'll excuse you if.....you give me a back massage and go get Adelina to watch the kids."

She didn't have to tell Cas twice, he ran back to the house immediately, going to search for the young women. She had insisted on working for them as a housekeeper to repay June for saving her. At first June had refused, but after the sixth kid she realized they really did need the extra help.

Their powers were coming in and with that came chaos. She knew the triplets were hybrids of Lycan and Questrias, but the twins were Fire and Shadow Masters. Elias, Kai, and Ben seemed to be half vampire and half something else they couldn't pin yet. Lana and Alexa were witches, very sassy witches.

For a second June wondered what Jasmine would have been, but quickly shook away the thought. She wanted to be happy; she wanted to come to a place were the thought of Jasmine made her happy, not sad.

"Baby," Marcus said softly, pulling her into his warm body. He had heard her thoughts, which was a side effect of their bond. "It's going to be okay. We're here for you no matter what."

Clent pulled her away from Marcus and into his arms. "You're our sun..."

"And moon," Alaric said.

"And stars," Kelen finished.

June's eyes began to tear up, but she wouldn't allow them to fall. "I love you all."

"We love you too," Cas yelled as he jogged back to them with Adelina and Milo not far behind. Clent gave her a quick kiss then went over to steal Leo away from Alaric. He refused to give him up, which sent the two into a bickering match.

June shook her head with a smile then turned to Adelina. "How's my mother?"

At that the women's eyes sadden. "She's eating now, but still refuses to leave her room. Mr. Johnson comes to visit her every now and then, though she won't talk to him."

June sighed. Her mother hadn't taken the news of her killing Jackson and Julian very well, even if it was June who brought her back in the first place. The first week she had went crazy. The second she finally let herself break down. And now she was just...empty.

Mr. Johnson was Milo's owner, the man with the umbrella who had given her that key all those years ago. June had contacted him, to see if he wanted Milo back. He agree to come, but not to take Milo since the kids were attached to him, just to thank her for bringing them back. Long-story short they had discovered he was her mother's second-chance mate. Unfortunately, her mother wanted nothing to do with him, but that didn't stop him from trying. He was a good and honorable man who June had grown close with. She loved him like a father.

"She'll come around some day I'm sure," Adelina assures then walks off to find the kids. Milo runs ahead of her, eager to play with his friends.

"I hope so," June softly murmurs then lays back to watch the stars dance in the midnight sky. Alaric comes over and lays beside his wife, pulling her to him and kissing her neck. She snuggles further into him then closes her eyes.

It doesn't get any better than this.

So basically, the prophecy was that June would be the start of the new world and that she would bring all who disappeared back through the energy she released. (The girl who turns red will bring back the dead). But due to all the pain and stress she experienced in almost losing Alaric and turning into a hybrid of all her mates, the baby died. Her name was going to be Jasmine. Now though, the world see her as a savior.

Anyway, I can't believe it's over. I never thought I'd finish a book because I was just so scatterbrained. But look at me now, I fucking did it and I'm so glad you all enjoyed. Sorry for all the plot holes, I was kinda just writing and not planning this out.

I might be posting bonus chapters when I can, but I'm going to jump right into my next book, This Sickness. The first couple chapters will be up soon, so be on the look out for that(it's another RH).

Love you guys and thanks for reading!
