《The Sun and Moon and Stars✔》The End 2

My shaking knuckle hovered in the air, waiting for my brain to convince it that I should knock. I couldn't bring myself to though. Looking back, I tried to find strength in the guys. Kelen gave me a firm nod. Clent flashed 'I love you' in fire. Cas gave me a wink. And Alaric waved.
Marcus wouldn't meet my eye.
Sighing, I turned back to the door, not feeling better at all. "Moon give me strength," I whispered to myself then opened the door.
The first thing I noticed was the strong smell of blood. It hit me like a smack to the face, making my fangs instantly elongate. Next was the way the cabin, my childhood home, had changed. There were no couches, no chairs, no rugs, no pictures, nothing. The living room was unnaturally bare, dust the only thing covering the floor. My feet began moving on their own accord. I stumbled to the kitchen. Nothing. I checked the bathroom. Not even a damn shower curtain.
Shaking my head, I headed to the stairs, but paused at the bottom. There was an arrow that pointed up, drawn in blood. My skin shivered. I met Alaric here and I felt this spot need to be cherished. It was the beginning. And by the looks of it, going to be the end. He knew I was here.
Taking a deep breath, I shifted and warped up them, avoiding the taunting blood. When I reached the top, I looked down. The arrow pointed towards my room. My breathing got heavy as anxiety set in. No, I couldn't let anything stop me. I had to do this.
The guys are waiting for you. They love you. They won't let anything happen to you.
With that little pep-talk, I stroked the mark on my palm, reinforced my mental shields, then walk towards the door. The knob was coated in blood, probably to mess with my head, but I just simply ripped a peice of my shirt off and used that to open it.

I expected more blood and maybe another baby, but not a naked girl. She sat on my bed, the only thing in the room, knees to her chest and head down. She looked a little younger than me, maybe by a year or two.
"Please," she whimpered, cowering back and beginning to shake, "I'll be a good girl."
My heart broke violently in my chest at the sight. I ran to my closest, praying there was something I could use to cover her up. All that occupied the once full space was a few sheets.
"Good enough," I muttered then snatched up one. Turning back to the girl I saw that she was in the same position, now silently crying. My heart squeezed tightly, sympathy flooding me. I approached her slowly, careful not to make any sudden movement. When I was close enough, I threw the blanket over her shoulders and waited.
It took a long moment, but she eventually looked up. Big, blue eyes met mine. I half expected her to stop crying or beg me to save her, but instead she screamed and tried to scramble away. My eyes brows furrowed in confusion, then I realized my fangs and red eyes were probably alarming. She must be human.
I quickly shifted back human fully and reached out, gently but firmly grabbing her shoulders. I didn't know where the hell Julian was, but I wasn't ready to face him just yet now. I had to get her out first.
"Hey, it's ok. I'm sorry I scared you, but you have to be quiet," I softly whispered. The girl slowly slid her hands off of her face, cautiously peaking at me. Her eyes widened at my now vamp-free face. I took deep breaths, gesturing for her to follow. After a tense second she did, trying to match my calm. When I felt she was ready, I spoke.

"My name is June, like the month, what's yours?" I started, deciding to take it slow. Her long, matted, brown hair covered her face. I brushed it behind her ear, being incredibly gentle. She rocked back and forth.
"A-Adelina," she whispered then bit her lip nervously.
I smiled. "Adelina, that's a very beautiful name. How old are you?"
"T-thank you. I'm fifteen. "
I almost stopped breathing. Fifteen!? I had to close my eyes to stop my anger from surging and turning my eyes red again. When I felt calm again, I opened my eyes and gave her a tight smile.
"Well, Adelina I'm going to get you out of here, but you have to tell me what he's done."
At that both hope and sadness flairs in her eyes, resulting in tears. My eyes too tear up, but I dismiss mine and wipe away her away.
"H-he says I-I'm a b-breeder, that I h-have to bare his b-baby," she stutters.
Another wave of rage hits me, but I shove it down for her sake. "He....he rapes you?" I ask, my voice cracking. I knew the answer, but needed it to be confirmed.
She nods, then cries harder. I pull her into my arms, cradling her head to my chest and rocking us. She seems to like that. "Why?"
"H-he says it's to r-repopulate the world again, t-to bring back all those p-people. He p-promised that I w-would be r-rewarded for my womanly s-service."
I close my eyes and breathe slowly. "Are there other girls?" She nods against my chest, sniffling.
"They're in the cellar, with child. I-I was only with t-them for a day."
I nod, continuing to rock us in silence, disgesting what she told me. After a minute or so, I gently push her back so I can look into her eyes. "I'm going to get all of you out of here. I promise."
Sticking out my pinky finger, I wait for her to take it. Slowly, she does. I smile then stand. "Ok, let's---"
Adelina's eyes widened at something behind me just as my hair is yanked, sending me sailing into the wall. I bounce off of it, almost falling onto my stomach, but I catch myself at the last second. Before I can even get up though, my hair is yanked again, pulling me up to my knees.
I cry out, but a hand grasped my throat. And when I look up, I'm surprised to see that it's Jackson.
One more chapter to go. I hope this is making sense, let me know if it doesn't.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!

The Good End for the Villainess
That night, she was bored and illegally downloaded and installed "Life is but a Rose", the most cheesy and terribly rated otome game of 2001. Just as promised, it was laughably bad. She heckled the game the entire night, finishing it at dawn. As she fell asleep she thought, "Did monkeys write this? How could they let the characters be so dumb, if it were me I wouldn't be that stupid..." And then she woke up in the body of a child "Camilla Florentine." The dumbest character of them all: the villainess. Bad ends and death flags are all that await the arrogant and proud Daughter of the Duke. But only if she went according to the script! As long as she makes her own "Escape Route", surely nothing could go wrong... "Huh? I activated a hidden route? Who cares about that! Love flags or whatever, I've got a great job lined up and can live how I want, screw the game's fate and capture targets! I'M FREEEEEEE!" Runs out the door. Years later: "Why did a Capture Target follow me to a completely different country??????" *** A sweet, silly story written over three days.
