⚠️Disclaimer: This chapter will include an intense, sexual scene.⚠️
I squirm until Kelen let's me go, then run through his shadows. Tears flowed freely from my eyes as I ran to Milo. His eyes focused on me, one blue one orange, and I could almost see the moment he realized it was me. It was June.
I dropped to my knees and let him run the rest of the way to me, tongue flapping and tail wagging. He had always been beautiful, but right now...in this moment...Milo was practically glowing. His two front paws rest on my shoulders as he gives me his version of a hug. I wrap my arms around the fluffy husky and squeeze. "I missed you, Boy. I don't know how you're here, but I don't care. I missed you," I sob into his fur.
Milo was a reminder of the night my mom disappeared, and I couldn't help but feel like it should have been her here in my arms. It was selfish. It was true.
A low growl from behind me grabbed my attention. Turning my head, I was met with a snarling Lycan. Marcus's eyes were blood red and his canines were on full display as he stared at Milo. I raised my eyebrow at the other guys.
"He thinks it's a wolf," Cas snickered. He had his wings out slightly, which gave me pause. He looked like such an....angel, but Questrias were much more complicated than that. I would have to ask him more about his kind later, but the task at hand now was to calm Marcus down.
"Marus," I said slowly and gently, "come here." When he didn't budge from his defensive stance, I let Milo go and walked to him. When his eyes met mine they softened and just like Milo, his tail began wagging happily. Marcus sniffed me, growled, then rubbed the entirety of his body against me. I almost fell back, but steadied myself and laughed. He pushed his head into my hand, begging me to scratch him. Instead, I put my hands on my hips and tried to act mad at him. "Marcus, this is Milo. He is a dog," I paused, "My dog. My supposed-to-be-dead dog. But he's here. Alive. MY DEAD DOG IS ALIVE!" I shout, the panic I initially pushed off coming back like a tsunami.

My breathing became ragged, heart thudding wildly in my chest. This isn't real. This isn't real. This isn't---
"June, baby, you need to breathe. In and out, in and out. Slowly and calmly," someone says, but my brain doesn't really process the words.
"YoU NeED tO bReaThE," another voice mocks," she's already breathing. Someone just kiss her. That will probably work."
"Shut up Casbian. You're not helping."
It went silent before there was shuffling. "What are you---"
Something cold was abruptly dumped down my back. I jolted out of my trance with a scream. My eyes narrowed back in on the guys. Kelen was trying to look stern, Clent and Cas were silently snickering, but Alaric looked.....guilty. I gasped, making him look up.
"How could you Alaric," I said dramatically, "I thought you lo...liked me!" Before he could defend himself or even analyze my almost-slip-up, I launched a snowball at his face.

.
"It says here that necromancers went extinct two thousand years ago, so that's not even a logical explanation," Kelen deadpans, but Casbian swears up and down that I might be the long lost Necromancer queen. We all keep shooting that idea down, but he insists.
"The last Queen is said to have had a daughter before she died and it says here that there is no record of her death---"
"Nor her birth in the first place!"
I get more comfortable in Clent's lap, feeling safe and content in his warmth. We were supposed to be doing research, but I was only napping. We sat secluded in the lounge part of the library, but the guys were still loud enough to hear, though I mostly tuned them out.
I wiggled again, still not finding that perfect position. Clent grunted, then shifted me further down his legs. After awhile of discomfort, I wiggled back. More heat began radiating off of his body and he cleared his throat.
"June, I.....I um can't focus," Clent whispered, his voice several octaves lower. I opened my droopy eyes to look at him. He gave me a tight smile.

"Sorry, I can move. You're just so....warm, but I understand. I'm just gonna....head to bed." I tried to hid the disappoint in my voice but it was hard. I wanted him to want me. When I got up to leave, Clent pulled me down by my hips, so my back was entirely against his front. And then, to my surprise, he thrust his hips up, grinding the erection I should have noticed into my core. A half shocked and half aroused gasp left my lips at the sensation that flooded me. How could one small motion feel that good?
"That," he growled in my ear, "is why I can't focus. You see how bad I want you?" Clent did it again, harder this time. Unable to form words I just nodded, already breathing hard. I was certainly awake now. "Close your eyes," he commands.
I did as I was told, liking this dominate side of my Fire Master. His hands trailed up and down my body, lifting my shirt slightly as he went. "I'm going to keep touching you, Flamour. And if you feel uncomfortable at any point just let me know." Once again, I nodded, then bit my lip to silence any moans. "I need words, baby."
"Yes," I replied breathlessly, wiggling in his lap. Clent put a hand on my thighs to stop me, then began messaging them.
I wanted more. Wanted something that he could but wasn't, giving me. "Please," I begged.
And like that was what Clent had been waiting for, he moved his hand higher, cupping me through my shorts. I groaned softly, grinding myself against his hand. One hand reached behind me and entangled in his hair. "Is this what you want?" He asked, beginning to slowly move his hand. I moaned out a yes, getting increasing frustrated. Luckily, I didn't have to wait much longer because his hand slipped into my shorts, pushed aside my panties, and slowly rubbed the most intimate part of my body.
A million fireworks exploded within me at once, making my hips jerk upwards. I had to bit my lip to stop a scream from leaving them. I had never, and I mean never, been touched like this. I knew that I could have touched myself, but I had wanted to save that privilege for my future mate. And I had found him, found them. It was so worth it.
"That's right. Feels good doesn't it?" He questioned sensually, punctuating it with a kiss to my neck. I didn't even nod this time, just moved my hips to his increasing fast movements. It felt like I was slowly being burned with pleasure, and quite literally too because Clent's body was growing hotter and hotter as I got closer to....something.
When my hand wasn't going it's job of stifling my moans, Clent put his wrist to my mouth. "Drink," he demanded in a tone I couldn't refused...not that I would. My fangs elongated immediately and on a scream, I bit into his wrist.
Cinnamon. Clent tasted like pure, spicy cinnamon. It reminded me of Red Hots, overly spicy at first then rich and sweet. My eyes rolled back and my cheeks hollowed as I sucked more of the intoxicating blood into my mouth. It made the building that I was feeling, go ten times faster. Clent groaned loudly, his chest rumbling. He began moving his hand even faster, it that was possible, then stopped abruptly. I whimpered at the loss of friction but then....then he pinched my sensitive button.
And I exploded.
Not even seconds later, Marcus boomed, "I found it! The missing piece of this fucking prophecy puzzle."
Bare with my terminology yall, I'm still trying to decide which words I should include in my smut scenes. I don't want it to over or under explicit. But anyway...I hope you enjoyed.🧡
