SO. If you were not already aware, I am a very strong believer in the #blacklivesmatter movement. If you are not, this is not for you, so kindly get off of my book without leaving any negativity. I'm trying my best to keep this a safe space and will not hesitate to block and report any opposers.
Wattpad is the platform I have the largest following on so I have been using it to spread the word. After making a few posts, I noticed that a lot of my followers agree. Black lives matter! Together, we can make a difference. Let's raise awareness! Post announcements! Make story updates! And, to show your support, let's all change our profile pictures to show our solidarity.
I have heard that when Caucasians use the famous black fist profile picture, it can be upsetting to people of color. Although not all black people may believe this, it would be ignorant to continue using the picture when I know that it could be hurting someone. Therefore, I suggest we use this image as our icons.
Of course, feel free to use other images to show your support.
