it was 7pm and i had just finished getting extra help with math from mr gordon.

and now it was his turn to get what he wanted.

"i believe you have a punishment waiting for you" he said.

i slowly nodded my head.

if i didn't do anything, he would've made the punishment even worse if that was possible.

but then his phone started ringing.

"what is it?" he snapped, answering the phone.

i heard a lot of shouting coming through the phone, and a part of me felt a spark of hope that someone had found out the truth about him.

after a lot of anticipation, he ended the phone call.

"that was my wife" he explained, "her mother has been rushed to hospital and she insists that i meet her there"

my heart skipped a beat. this was the most luck i've had in the whole of the 16 years i've been alive.

"i guess you will have to receive your punishment tomorrow, miss hart" he said.

i nodded again and hurried out of the door.

and even though nothing really happened tonight, i still found myself heading towards the library.

"remus, she's here!" shouted janet, as i walked through the door.

remus' cheeks turned to the darkest shade of pink i had ever seen on him, which made me chuckle softly.

janet winked at me before letting me collapse into my blue beanbag.

"you're here earlier than usual" said remus.

"yeah, something came up for my math teacher and he had to leave early" i replied, almost gagging at thought of mr gordon.

"you take after school lessons?" he questioned.

"yep" i answered, "i really struggle with math"

he smiled at me, and there was something in his eyes that i couldn't quite read.

"i'm quite good at math" he said, "you could always come to me for lessons if you'd prefer that"

this really was my lucky day.

"i'll think about it" i smiled.

then suddenly, a pale boy around our age with greasy black hair burst through the door.

"severus!" remus gasped. "what are you doing here?"

"i knew i would find you here" he grimaced, looking remus up and down and then looking around the library as if it was a pigsty.

i instantly disliked this boy.

"what do you want?" asked remus.

"i want you to stay away from her" the boy called severus replied.

"what?"

"you heard me" said severus, "i want you and your stupid little friends to stay away from lily evans"

"she's our friend" said remus.

"yeah right" severus scoffed.

"piss off" said remus.

i was shocked. i never thought a guy like remus would be that straight forward.

but people are surprising.

"just stay away" severus snarled, before leaving.

"he really needs to wash his hair!" gasped janet from behind her desk.

"who was that?" i asked remus.

"severus snape" he sighed. "he's obsessed with my friend lily and is a complete dickhead"

"i noticed" i smirked.

we both giggled and placed ourselves back down into our seats.

"remus?"

"yeah?"

"in a world full of dickheads, do you promise to always be a sweet angel?"

he smiled, "i promise"
