robert downey junior knew something was up when octavia and tom walked into the backyard. robert, knowing octavia for thirteen years, and tom for eleven, he knew when they were hiding something. also the fact that octavia was discretely trying to hide her stomach had hinted at something.
"avi it's you my love!" robert said as he brought the girl into a hug, octavia laughing loudly. she hugged him back, a smile etched on her face.
"it's great to see you kiddo, you look great." this gave robert a chance to look at her for a split second to try and figure out; what the hell were these two hiding?
"don't look to bad yourself downey." he smiled, bringing tom into a hug. she was then pulled aside by scarlett and lizzie, then figuring it out right away.
"please don't say anything! chris, seb and anthony are the only ones who know and tom and i were planning to say something today." the girls squealed, nodding their head as they brought her into a hug.
"i'm so so happy for you two." lizzie said, scarlett agreeing. octavia smiled widely, scarlett so glad that she was so happy and glowing.
she then said hello to brie, who she had grown close to ever since she joined the mcu. she hugged brie tightly, brie smiling as she accepted the hug.
"avi! it's so great to see you!" brie said, octavia pulling away from the hug.
"it's great to see you too brie! how's filming been?" they talked for a bit, before octavia was pulled away by jermey and paul rudd.
octavia was sitting next to karen when robert hit octavia with a pool noodle. she pushed her shades down, allowing robert to see her eyes as she gave a smirk.

"yes dear?" she said jokingly, causing a loud laugh to escape tom's lips. robert poked her again, octavia trying not show as she sat up.
"get in avi!" octavia looked at tom, giving him a 'it's time' look. tom smiled widely, getting out. robert watched in confusion, tom helping octavia up a bit.
"okay um," tom started, everyone payed attention, yet sebastain and chris had the biggest smile on their face. octavia was in her one piece, her showing a bit. octavia put her hands on her stomach, the two smiling widely.
"we're expecting."
the girliest scream of all escaped roberts mouth, him frantically getting out of the pool to embrace the two in his arms. the others gave the same reaction, them screaming and getting out of the pool to hug them.
"oh god avi, i'm so happy for you." robert said, leaving a kiss on her forehead. she smiled softly at him, robert looking at tom.
"nice work holland," tom turned a light red, octavia slapping his arm. without skipping a beat, robert finished his sentence.
"but congrats tom, so happy for you two." robert brought tom into his arms, tom accepting it gratefully. they were hugged by everyone, sebastain, chris and anthony standing back with smiles on their faces.
"damn seb, you aren't gonna hug your own sister." scarlett called out, everyone looking at him. that's when the three smirked, anthony speaking for the three of them.
"we found out on sebastain's birthday." he said, a smile on his face. all eyes turned on the expecting parents, octavia hiding behind tom. her head was next to his bicep, a small smile on her face.
"hey! you cant attack a pregnant woman can you?" robert shook his head no, but don finished his thought.

"we can attack the father to be though."
"no you can't!" octavia protested, her now standing infront of tom. she crossed her arms over her chest, don unable to hold back a smile.
"no beating up the pregnant woman or the father to be." paul rudd let out a sigh, octavia and tom giving him a glare.
"i'm joking i'm joking don't attack me!" octavia gave a small smile, tom's arm around her waist secure.
"i was gonna say let's toast to expecting parents but," chris pratt started, everyone's eyebrows going up.
"octavia's pregnant and you're not supposed to when you're pregnant." everyone nodded, octavia frowning.
"damn i cant drink now."

the group were gathered on lawn, in a big circle in the patio chairs. in the middle of them was a fire, roberts kids roasting marshmallows for a bit before they were called back inside to go to sleep.
the two little kids kissed their father goodnight, but not before little avri and exton came to octavia, kissing her cheek goodnight. they ran inside, susan shutting the door behind them. octavia was unable to wipe the grin away. tom's hand intertwined with her's, a soft smile on his face.
"it'll fly by hon, the little one will be here before you know it." he whispered, a affectionate kiss left on her temple. octavia smiled again, her head resting on his shoulder.
"i hope so." tom's thumb rubbed against her knuckle, them reengaging to the conversation. brie calling her name out brought her back to reality.
"how far along are you?" she asked, octavia's head leaving tom's shoulder. she readjusted on the chair, her hands subconsciously resting on her bump.
"two months." the group smiled at the beaming couple, them over the moon with joy. hemsworth, who was to the right of octavia spoke up.
"surprise or find out the gender?" he asked, tom excitedly answering the question.
"we were just talking about that actually, and we're gonna find out." anthony chuckled, eyes on him now. octavia furrowed eyebrows, but couldn't get a word in when anthony started talking.
"oh gosh, imagine another mini tom." anthony said without skipping a beat from tom's answer. everyone laughed, tom letting out a huff.
"after eleven years. you still tease me, i cant believe it." anthony let out a loud laugh, throwing his head back.
"it's cause you're my friend tom, i'm supposed to tease you." octavia let out a awe, everyone looking at her. she wiped away a fake tear, a smile on her face.
"it only took eleven years to admit that toms not actually a asshole." that got everyone laughing, even tom.

8 214The boy who fell in love with a tree
This is a story about a boy who fell in love with a tree… A story about powerful people changing the rulebook to stack the odds and line their pockets… I aim to create a story that will transport us so we get a glimpse of what that boy felt. The first 4 Chapters might be classified as a prologue depending on how you look at it. The boy quickly grows and the story really starts when the System arrives on Earth. I’m trying to achieve a relatively slow power progression and guide what we learn at a pace following the people in the story. There will be fighting but It’s more focused on base building. The MC is not all-powerful and all-knowing but he has some significant advantages. I’m trying to create a universe that makes sense in its own context. Much of what you will find, are my own world views, in a magnified way, as to make it for interesting fiction. The story took a life of its own when I started to write and I’m really happy with it. Not all of the tags I have marked will immediately be applied. There is stuff planned for far in the future such as the Sci-fi tag. There might be some cursing and gore but it is not very often. -------------- English is not my primary language, so I ask everyone to be forgiving. If you see a glaring error I would appreciate a msg but it is not feasible to fix everything. And if the story offends you, I wish you happiness, reading what you enjoy. ------------- Img link: https://unsplash.com/photos/EwKXn5CapA4
8 283Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
8 192Last Man
Nikodemus is the Last Man on a planet that resembles earth. He spends his days being hauled from female tribe-to-female tribe, as they fight over him in an effort to preserve the human race. All female tribes worth their salt have at least one mutant at beck-and-call, who are the smartest creatures on the planet and are used to program robots who assist in capturing the Last Man. The tribes aren't the only thing to fear in the desert; there are also viscous scorpion creatures lurking out on the sands. Perhaps the only thing more deadly then then the demons living in the Wasteland, are the demons living inside Nikodemus. Can he fight them off and see the worth in humanity after experiencing the worst of it for all forty-five years of his life?
8 111bleeding love
