I stayed in those woods a long time. There was a little tiny fridge stocked with food, that was all gone after a couple weeks. A little sleeping bag was my bed every night, and soon my back was getting sore.

This was the time to decide: No food, no bed, no real home. Just this shed and you, Wendy.

I could have gone back to Neverland. Anyone with any amount of common sense would leave, go where it was most safe.

But reality isn't that bad. Not when you learn how to handle it. And I will stay here in this shed and I will find some way to earn money, to buy food.

And if things go bad, and I don't end up okay . . . At least I'll know I chose you.
