《Her Name Wasn't Wendy》Alternate Ending Part 6

Pan was on cloud nine.

Every day since that night under the full moon had been like a dream come true. Zemira was always in a good mood and back to her old self. She was the confident, leather wearing, sorceress that he knew her to be. And she was all his. Her mind was not full of pain. All of this warmed his heart. Her smile was more thrilling as any spell casting high.

"Where did you go?" Pan laughed as he entered the cove. He had followed her down there from camp. She had something to show him.

The sand crunched under his boots. The sun was high and shining across the clear blue sky and the wind had begun to pick up. Pan had been teaching her some of the tricks of magic for the island. The easy stuff like transporting, smooth creations, and of course location spells that were faster and easier then brushing your teeth. He searched with his mind for her magical presence. It shone brightest on the island, not only because of her magic but because of her true youth and the distinct female life signs.

Through his mind's eye he could see her, almost like a modern heat signature, under the water. Pan laughed and kicked off his boots and dove into the cool water of the cove. He had no trouble finding her. She was just beneath the water looking smugly at him. Pan hesitated slightly but not fast enough.

Sea weed shot out like torpedoes at him from all sides. They grabbed his limbs and threw him high into the sky. He flew out of the water and all of his clothes stuck to his skin. Just when he was about to experience the pull of gravity, he froze. All of his body was stuck in a fixed position about four feet above the water. Water droplets that had flown up in the air with him froze in their place. He couldn't move.

Zemira stood up closer to shore and wrung out her long hair that looked black because of the water. She was smiling over at him. Pan could do nothing but watch her as he stayed frozen. She had on a pair of shorts and an orange t-shirt that both clung to her skin. The wind became extra strong. Pan assumed she had used a spell to dry off. Sure enough she was dry a second later.

"I am really unimpressed," Zemira says after a long pause, "that was elementary." Her hip jutted to the side as she crossed her arms. Pan couldn't help but feel like the smug look paired with the hip action and the arms was pretty sexy.

"Underwater," Pan called over to her, unable to keep a smile off his face, "Not bad, I could have done it better," he said with a sniffle of his nose. Her jaw dropped in irritation, but her eyes held a touch of amusement in their exaggerated eye roll.

"Yea right! That's why I caught you in my trap!" she taunted.

"I saw it coming," Pan lied teasing her.

"Uh huh, sure," She said turning around and heading to her cave. Pan, even in his fixed positon, used magic to splash her with an extra strong wave, soaking her again. She froze and turned around with fake anger in her face. The look was closrer to what an irritated puppy had. Pan thought it was so cute. She stomped into the water and stared up at him with amused contempt. Pan let out a laugh. Then he whispered a few words.

Her freezing spell broke and he landed in the water next to her. She rolled her eyes. He grinned down at her. The blue eyes of hers slowly came to meet his eyes. He loved those eyes. Reaching out quickly he pulled her against him. She laughed. He leaned down and kissed her. She kissed back. The rest of the world melted away and it was just the two of them. His hand went up into her wet hair as he tried to memorize that moment as if he would never be able to kiss her like this again.

They slowly pulled away from one another. Her eyes shined up at him with love.

This was how it was meant to be. They were to be together like this forever. And nothing was going to take her away from him.

Just as that thought crossed his mind when an arrow came racing towards him. Color drained from his face. He only had a second to act before the arrow would be upon him. Quickly he shoved Zemira to the side. She was caught off guard and fell under the water. The arrow immersed itself in pan's shoulder. It was his right side thankfully. Blood started to pour through the matching holes in his chest and back. He fell back into the water. Zemira quickly recovered and used magic to dissolve the arrow and begin the healing process. He sighed in relief as he floated in the water.

She transported to the beach where the shooter stood like a statue. Pan sat up in the water and watched as she judo-flipped him. The man landed in the sand, she used her knee to pin him to the ground. Pan used magic to finish the healing process. He winced as the salt water was washed from the wound. Then he joined Zemira on the beach.

The shooter was Hook. Pan's heart stopped. He hadn't seen the pirate since the memory wipe on Skull Island. But it wasn't his appearance that had stopped his heart, it was their silence and their motionless bodies. All they did was look at each other. Jealousy and protectiveness sprung into Pan's heart. How dare he look at his girl like that? They said nothing. Pan for a moment was afraid that the spell had broken and they were contemplating how each other were alive.

"Zemira," Hook said just above a whisper. The longing in his voice was repulsive. Pan wanted to punch the guy. Zemira frowned as if approaching a tough call. Her mouth was open in cluelessness.

"Zemira," Pan said putting a hand on her shoulder. She looked up at him and then let Hook go. She quickly regained control and crossed her arm and set her jaw.

"Who-"Zemira choked a moment as if she couldn't believe she didn't know but her voice was strong and sure, "Who is this?" Hook stood up slowly. Pan watched as Hook shook in pain. A smile hid behind his protective looks. Pan pulled her behind himself.

"He is a very dangerous individual, Z," Pan said trying not to let the smile show. Hook didn't even look at pan, all he saw was Zemira.

"Zemira," Hook said taking a step forward, Pan stepped back forcing Zemira to do the same, "Please, You have to remember." The desperation in Hooks eyes thrilled Pan. The smile became a smirk on his face.

Pan turned to Zemira and told her to go to camp. Her eyes didn't leave Hook. She eyed him skeptically and scruninized his form. But she moved slowly around him and off to their camp. Hook watched as she left and he began following. But Pan was fast, he transported himself right in Hook's path.

"Oh Hook," Pan said pitifully, "she doesn't know you."

"No," Hook's hands were in fists, "She does know." Pan chuckled.

"Determined? Is that what you are calling yourself?" Pan continued chuckling, then he stopped and looked right in his eye, "I call it blind ignorance." Hook set his jaw. His smirk reappeared, "I guess after all this time the mighty Captain Hook," Pan exaggerates with some hand gestures and begins walking around Hook menacingly, "Is still an idiotic puppy that still doesn't know who the alpha is." Pan stopped right behind Hook and whispered a spell. Hook fell onto the sand and shook, a gargled cry came from his lips as electricity ran through his nervous system. Then he stopped and his body was still in the sand. Pan crouched next to him and began picking up pinches of sand and letting the sand slowly out through his fingers on top of Hook's chest. "It's really adorable," Pan told him, "Truly, it is," he stood up and looked down at him, "You can have as much false hope as you want, Pirate, but it won't change what's already done." Pan began walking away and then turned back around and another set of volts ran through Hook. "Oh and that's for the arrow," Pan said savagely, "next time I won't be so kind." With that Pan left the beach and the steaming body of Hook.

***********

Hook didn't want to move ever again. His insides felt like lava on boil. Everything hurt.

Pan was a monster. Hook had tried to put him down and though it was a stupid, plan he couldn't take just sit by any longer. There had to be something to break the spell. Hook knew it. All he had to do was find out. Killing Pan obviously wasn't an option, but there had to be something . . . something. . .

He was so tired, his body couldn't take it anymore. The breeze swept passed him and he closed his eyes. The world evaporated and he fell into a deep sleep.

When he woke up he felt better. His head hurt like heck but the rest of his body felt much better. He smelled something sweet . . . something familiar.

He opened his eyes and knew it was wild berries. He opened his cracked lips and drank in the smell that he had dreamt of every knight. He sighed settling in deeper to the soft bed he was in.

Then his brain stopped, he was on a bed? Had his crew found him? What had happened? The light from a misshapen window told him that it was twilight. Based on the looks of the celling and the window, he deduced that his crew had not saved him. A slight breeze blew in and froze him. He realized that his shirt was gone and he was coved in a clear gel. He frowned and looked down at the rest of him. His pants were still on and his shoes were gone.

"Don't move," said a commanding voice from farther inside what looked like a cave that had been converted into living space. He sat up so that he could find the voice and his whole body was stuck by a thousand invisible needles. He cried out. He shut his eyes and he felt two hands support him and lean him against the cave wall. His eyes flew open and he was face to face with Zemira. "I told you not to move," she complained. Hook's mouth dropped open. She looked glorious in the golden evening light. Her brown hair was swept to one side and hung like a curtain on the side of her face. She wore a red leather jacket and a black dress. She sat back on a chair opposite him and took him in. He wanted so badly to embrace her and kiss those small pink lips and never let her leave again. "You got shocked with over a hundred volts of electricity, your whole body needs to recover." She told him, "I put a healing spell on you so that it will speed up the healing but you need to stop moving." They looked at eachother for a long time before she spoke again. "That was really stupid," she told him bluntly.

"What?" he said caught off guard.

"Shooting someone immortal with an arrow."

"Well you're talking to a 'dangerous,' man," Hook said thinking of what Pan had called him. Her eyes focused on him.

"I believe what he called you was a blind, ignorant puppy," she said with a touch of amusement. Hook pursed his lips.

"You heard all that?" he asked.

"Certainly did, but I don't care for injuring people for life, so I made sure you will be able to walk for the rest of your god forsaken life," she said looking out the window, "your welcome."

"Thanks," he said just above a whisper, she nodded absently. He was surprised at how blunt she was being.

"Don't mention it," Zemira said crossing her arms and returning her gaze to him. Then she leaned forward, a single strand of hair fell in front of her face and he had an urge to push it behind her hair, but he figured the action wouldn't be welcome so he didn't. "So," she cocked her head, "you know me?" she asked. Hook nodded, "hm, interesting since I have never seen you before today unless you count at skull rock."

"You know me," Hook said. She rolled her eyes.

"Of course I do buddy, I saved your butt right after you tried to murder my boyfriend. we must have exchanged formalities somewhere during that." She said sarcastically. Hook stung after hearing her say boyfriend.

"No I mean-"Hook began and then sighed, she was never going to believe that. He had to start over, "I am Captain Hook."

"That's your name?" she asked, "That's weird." Hook couldn't help chuckling.

"It's my title. But you can call me Killian," he said, "Killian Jones." She smiled. He was actually happy that she would start calling him that.

"Alright, my name is Zemira, Zemira Swan," She told him. Hook smiled, he had never known her last name.

"Good to meet you," he said.

"Well I wish we had met under better circumstances," she said. Hook only smiled. He wished so badly to tell her that they had. But maybe, just maybe, they still had a chance.
