Third Person's POV
Louis and Liam's relationship was a bit fucked up. Boyfriends? Not exactly. Friends with benefits? No, that's not it. They themselves didn't know what they were. It's not that they were afraid to ask each other out or anything. It's that they didn't know what they wanted.
The only question that was lingering on each one's brain was is he gonna stay the night? They were afraid that if they woke up one night they wouldn't find themselves in the same bed. This thought haunted the both of them and it wasn't one of their pleasantries. They were both terrified of the thought of waking up alone. Their only reassurance was just the closure they got when they were in touching distance of each other. They knew that if they woke up together everyday, doesn't mean that they were bound to for life. Such a disturbing thought, but sadly a true one.
For Louis, Liam was like a drug. His personal sense of high. Did that even make sense? But he didn't really care. All what he knew is that as long as he has Liam he's fine. And he also knew that they were, sadly, made to break. He didn't want that though, but he didn't know what to do about it. He was terrified that if he asked to place a label on his and Liam's relationship that the said boy might reject him and that he'll lose him forever. He wasn't afraid of asking him, he was per say, afraid of the outcome. And he didn't know if he really wanted Liam to be his boyfriend. That's the problem neither one of them knows what he wants. But again, it is a fucked up relationship.
As for Liam, it wasn't that much different. Louis was his remedy. Without Louis, his life is like an empty canvas, waiting for a certain artist to strike a color and set the plain white sheet on fire. He didn't know where did they stand. They were both so messed up and he didn't know what to do about it. Knowing that one day he might wake up without Louis by his side tears him apart, makes him feel so scared and he doesn't like it. He just doesn't want to feel scared for a change. He wants to feel safe and sure that he won't lose his only source of peace and serenity, as well as his source of uncertainty and fear. Fucked up. That's what they are. He just can't fathom the idea of losing him. But what should he do? Ask to bind Louis by his side? Ask that question that will assure him that he will stay the night? Again, he doesn't have a definite answer.

So when one night Liam wakes up and doesn't find Louis by his side and not even in the whole house, he's horrorstruck with agony and fear. He's lost him. He's lost Louis. He was too late. He should've asked him yesterday, that was his plan after all. He's such an idiot. Why didn't he just do it? When he was about to lay the bomb yesterday, his tongue seemed to lose it's most important ability. It was like he swallowed his own tongue and therefore he couldn't speak. He fell to the ground with tears streaming down his face. He just didn't understand why today was different from any other day. Then he realized that he didn't ask Louis their all so sacred question,
"Are you gonna stay the night?"
He asked him that question every night. Yesterday might've been an exception. How could he forget? This must have been the reason, for Louis always told him that he'll stay as long as Liam wants him to. Maybe he thought that Liam didn't want him anymore because he didn't perform their usual ritual last night. He had to find Louis, it was now or never.
True to Liam's thoughts, that's what made Louis leave. The moment Liam drifted off to sleep, his heart broke. Liam doesn't want him anymore, he didn't ask him to stay so that means that he's done with Louis. Trying so hard not to release his sobs, Louis made up his mind; he wasn't staying anymore. That brings him to where he is now, the warm and cozy café where Liam always takes him for breakfast. His gaze was broken and lost, reflecting his soul. He was lost without Liam and broken because Liam didn't want him anymore. The thought made his heart break and clench with sadness. His feelings were all melancholy and he already missed his electrified feelings that were brought to him by none other than the cause of his heartbreak, as of right now.

Louis, immersed in his sad thoughts, didn't notice when Liam barged into the café, but he was startled when he was dragged out of his seat and quite harshly pulled over to a secluded part in the park right in front of the little café, without needing to look at his captor he knew it was Liam. But what he didn't know is why was Liam here and what on earth is he doing. After catching his breath, for Liam ran the whole way here, he looked at Louis and he decided that he had to speak what was on his mind for the past couple of months, basically since he met Louis.
"Listen Lou, I know that we are upside down but just hold your tongue and hear me out. I just want to tell you that if you thought that I didn't want you to stay anymore because I didn't ask you to, then you're just retarded. Louis you're everything I've ever wanted. I think that you should've realized that by now. I know we haven't had the best relationship and that we didn't even have a relationship to begin with, but what I'm trying to say is that I just can't live a day without you; seeing your face in the morning is enough to get me by. I know that I just have to be sure that you're right by my side and anything else won't matter. When I woke up and you weren't there, I couldn't believe myself. The thought that you simply weren't in the house killed me inside and it made me realize how important you are to me. What I'm trying to say is that..... Louis William Tomlinson, would you do me the honor of being my boyfriend?" Liam finally let out all the words he's been trying to say ever since he met Louis.
Overwhelmed by Liam's audacity and his awaited question, Louis couldn't help but nod frantically and smile a huge yet soft smile towards his, boyfriend. He couldn't believe that Liam was finally his to claim officially. And he was glad that all his uncertainties and doubts washed away and happiness filled his heart.
"I don't think that we need to ask this damned question anymore." Louis said chuckling followed by Liam's contagious laugh and both boys were silenced by the ever so sweet kiss that had both their lips locked tightly together.
Are you gonna stay the night?

The London Phantom: A Superhero Webnovel
London is an old city. It has survived floods, fires, plagues and the man-made smog of industry. It has stood firm against the armies of Vikings, Saxons, Normans and the aerial might of the Luftwaffe. It has borne witness to dynsatic feuds, civil wars, military occupation and the sin of regicide. Through all these disasters the city has survived not through force of arms, though its walls were once the envy of the world, but through adapting to the times. Enemies become dependant on the city, and the wealth of the world that flows through it, and so become new allies. If the rulers change, then the city welcomes them with open arms, and open lines of credit. In this way the city seeks to preserve its ancient rights and position of power. Superheroes are a new phenomenon. The first superpowered man walked out of the Nevada desert in 1950, and the world was forever changed. Across the planet, men and women with exceptional abilities made themselves known. At first, they were little more than another source of fear in the era of Mutually Assured Destruction, but over time attitudes changed and the concept of the Superhero was created in the city of Los Angeles. From there the phenomenon spread across the globe; superheroes went from being feared arms of the state to a symbol of hope in these maddening times. Times have changed. Sixty years from the emergence of the first superhero, the City of London stands on a precipice. Two years have passed since the madman Fawkes nearly brought down the United Kingdom and the remnants of the Bow Street Runners, London's premier superhero team, are struggling to keep order in a city that seems on the brink of collapse. London stands on a knife's edge, with criminal organisations that once stuck to the shadows becoming more bold, and ancient powers from myth and legend making themselves known. Alexander Laszewski has recently 'awakened' and has become entirely unremakable, effectively making himself invisible to the world. He must use his newfound power to navigate a city on the edge of collapse. If only he could figure out how to turn it off.
