You hummed to yourself as you stood in the elevator. You were on a total high right now from your dinner with Vivienne. You know it was probably a lie and that you should keep your feet on the ground but you couldn't help it as you replayed your conversation with her over and over.

"You know Christian just does not stop talking about you." She smiled.

"Oh really? When were you guys talking?" You asked remembering that Solo had told you that she didn't want you to know they were meeting up.

"Oh um... when you went to the bathroom." She giggled awkwardly, obviously trying to sound like she was lying.

"Oh right of course.. um what did he say?" You asked casually.

"Honestly honey he's so in love with you. He just wouldn't shut up about you." She gasped. "He kept saying how you were the most beautiful girl he'd ever laid eyes on. That you were incredibly smart and funny and always give him a run for his money when it comes to wit. He said every time he looks at you it's like he falls in love with you all over again." She gushed and you couldn't help but blush. Did Solo really mean that?

"No of course not, this is fake remember?" Your subconscious sneered but you just ignored it.

"Well that does sound like my Christian. Always over exaggerating." You chuckled awkwardly before taking a sip of your wine.

You couldn't help the smile that had been on your face since you'd left the coffee shop. You know it was just a mission but a small part of you was hoping that maybe Solo felt something between the two of you as well.

You opened the front door, expecting Solo to be seated on the couch but he was no where in sight. You chucked your handbag onto the couch and kicked off your heels knowing that it would annoy Solo. You furrowed your brows when you heard giggles emerging from the bedroom.

"I'm supposed to be back from my break in ten minutes." You heard a female voice laugh.

"I'm sure there's something we can do for ten minutes." You heard Solo reply causing you to stiffen.

You internally prayed that it wasn't what you thought it was, but deep down you knew what it was going to be. Even though you prepared yourself mentally as you peered through the crack in the door didn't make it hurt any less.

There was a brunette girl, her bare back was facing the door with the white sheets draped over her lower half. She was leaning down kissing Solo passionately as his hands wandered her back.

The sight made you freeze up and you couldn't tear your eyes away. You felt bile rise up in your throat at the sight and you could feel your heart sinking. You were such an idiot to think that he was different. Of course he wasn't, they never were. You spied her maid uniform scattered on the floor and you felt your rage increase. She was a fucking maid. God how could he be so stupid?

It was then that you remembered that as his 'wife', you should be screaming right now. So that was what you did.

"What the fuck!" You suddenly screamed causing both of them to jump away from each other.

"Five years of marriage and this is what you do to me Christian? How could you!" You cried and the maid looked like a deer in headlights.

"You never told me you were married." She hissed to Solo and that was when you began to sob. As you cried she began to awkwardly grab her clothes and chuck them on.

"I just- we've worked so hard to keep this marriage together." You sobbed. "I stayed with you through all of your hard times. I mean I stayed with you even when you found out you had herpes!" You cried as you tried to stop yourself from smiling when her eyes widened.

"What!?" She screeched as she turned to Solo.

A loud slap echoed throughout the bedroom as her hand connected with his cheek. He said nothing as he raised a hand to rub his cheek where a red mark was forming.

"Go rot in hell asshole." She sneers as she grabbed her shoes in her hand.

"I'm so sorry." She muttered to you before storming past you.

The two of you stayed in silence until you heard the slam of the front door, signalling you were alone again.

"Well. That was awkward." Solo muttered as he tied his robe around his body and stood up.

Another loud smack rang out as your hand connected with the same cheek, you made sure you put as much force as you could into the slap.

"You're a fucking idiot you know that? You could have just ruined everything. What the hell were you thinking?" You hissed as he rubbed his cheek.

"I needed a distraction." He stated and you let out a loud scoff as you shook your head.

"A distraction? Solo if you want a distraction you go play cards or take a walk or something you don't sleep with a potential spy!" You barked.

Solo opened his mouth to speak and you held up your hand to silence him.

"You know what? I don't want to hear it." You snarl as you spin on your heel and march out to the living room. You grab the rotary phone, glancing at the brochure on the coffee table. You dial the number and press the phone to your ear. It was time to go into damage control.

"What are you doing?" Solo questioned in confusion.

"Rectifying the situation." You snap before handing him the phone.

"Order room service." You instruct as you wander into the kitchen to grab a glass of water. You could hear Solo ordering strawberries and chocolate before hanging up.

"Want to tell me what that was about?" He asked as you put the glass into the sink.

"Did he say how long he'd be?" You asked ignoring his question. "He said he'd be up in five minutes but-"

"The guy who brings up all the room service is a spy and works for Vivienne." You explained as you wandered into the bedroom with Solo hot on your tail. "I saw him at the party where we first met Vivienne and today I saw him leaving the restaurant where Vivienne and I were having dinner, leaving after meeting with her I assume. No doubt he's reporting everything back to her so that's how we're going to fix the mess you made." You sighed as you began to take off your dress.

"What are you-"

"Just go outside and answer the door. That's all you need to do." You snap. Solo said nothing else, deciding it best not to argue with you right now. He knew he had pissed you off with the whole maid charade. He was just wondering if a part of it because you had feelings for him.

You tried to push aside the anger and jealously that was currently flowing through you as you stripped to your bra and underwear. You grabbed Solo's dress shirt and hurriedly slipped it on as a knock sounded at the door. You buttoned up a few buttons, leaving some on the bottom and some at the top unbuttoned. Luckily the shirt fell to your middle thigh.

You sat impatiently as you heard Solo open the door.

"Yes, just bring it into the living room." You heard him say and you knew this was your chance.

"Baby what's taking you so long!" You shouted from the bedroom as you walked towards the door.

"If you don't come back soon I'm going to have to start the second round by myself!" You continued, trying hard not to laugh as you opened the door to the bedroom.

"I can do that thing you like." You giggled as you waltzed into the living room. You came face to face to a wide eyed hotel employee and Solo who was trying to not smile.

"Oh my god!" You shrieked covering up your legs and chest as the spy greedily looked at your exposed body.

"Christian why didn't you tell me someone was coming up!" You squeaked as you ran into the bedroom, shutting the door.

"Sorry honey!" He called out sheepishly.

"If you ever stare at my wife like that again I swear I will make sure you never work another day in your life." He threatened the employee causing you to stifle a laugh.

"I-I'm sorry Sir. I'll go." He stammered and not a minute later you heard the front door shut. That was when you knew it was safe to burst out in laughter as you opened the bedroom door.

"That. Was. brilliant." Solo stated causing you to grin.

"It was wasn't it? Did you see his face though, it was priceless." You giggled and Solo nodded. He smiled as he watched you yawn as you suddenly remembered how tired you were.

"I thought you were angry at me." He suddenly spoke as he watched you flop onto the bed. "I can't be bothered to be angry, Solo." You sighed as you pulled up the sheets and his forehead creased.

"I'm sorry." He suddenly spoke causing you to freeze. Solo never apologised. Ever. "Huh?" You choked out.

"I said I'm sorry." He repeated as the bed sunk as took a seat.

"Yeah I heard you I just- I'm trying to wrap my head around it." You admitted as you felt him lie down next to you.

"Well don't get used to it." You heard him grumble causing a small smile to form on your face.

"You look good in my shirt by the way." He complimented causing you to roll your eyes. There's the Solo you knew.

"Good night Solo." You laughed as you leaned over and flicked the light off, encasing the two of you in darkness.

"Good night *yn*." He whispered quietly.

The two of you lay in the silence for a while, the sound of each other's breathing the only thing that filled the room. You were lying on your back, staring up at the fuzzy ceiling when Solo spoke up.

"Elizabeth Anderson."

"What?" You asked in confusion.

"Elizabeth Anderson." He repeated. "She's the reason I keep my walls up. Not because it keeps women interested. Because of her." He murmured. You stayed silent, willing him to continue.

"I was eighteen when I met her, just before I was going to fight in the war actually. She was beautiful, smart, funny a total doll. I fell for her hard and she knew that. She knew she had a hold on me. When I came back home for a short period of time I found her in bed with a stranger. She told me that it was because she had missed me and that she was lonely and begged for me to stay with her. I did. By that time I was already stealing things and earning a lot of money and somehow she found out about it. The second time I returned home from war I found her in bed with my childhood best friend. She laughed at me and told me she only stayed with me for the money I was making." He chuckled shaking his head as he stared up at the ceiling.

"I guess that would hinder a relationship slightly." You joked weakly and he smiled softly.

"From then on I vowed that I would never get serious with a woman again, or fall for one. I decided it was better for me if I just had myself to care about." He explained.

"Is that why you don't like anyone calling you Napoleon? Because she used to?" You asked quietly. His silence gave you the answer you needed.

"I'm sorry." You whispered and he turned his head to look at you.

"I know how you feel." You continued.

You began to tell Solo about all the guys that had screwed you over and how you continued to make the same mistakes over and over. You told him how you'd gotten into the whole spy gig, about your family, friends just anything that popped into your head. The two of you talked for hours and hours, laughing so hard that your stomach hurt, listening to each other intently, frowning when the other shared a piece of sad information. The two of you talked until your eyes eventually shut involuntarily and you nodded off.

Solo didn't sleep a wink that night, he spent it studying your beautiful face as you slept. He hadn't told anyone ninety percent of the things that he had told you tonight. There was just something about you that made him open up and feel comfortable. When you nuzzled into his chest in your slumber and mumbled "Napoleon" into his shirt and he felt his heart racing that he knew.

He was in love with you.
