"awww!" they heard and they released from each other and turned to the noise. they saw a short boy with brown hair and green eyes. "is this the best friend you were talking about, luke?"

calum tilted his head and furrowed his eyebrows. "you guys have met?"

"yeah, he's my roommate." luke rested his arm on calum's shoulder. "his name is pete."

calum grabbed onto luke's hand eyeing pete. pete chuckled and walked up to his friend tom hugging him tightly. calum turned around to look at pete and pursed his lips. "what are you majoring in?" cal asked luke when he turned back around.

"law." he answered and motioned their intertwined hands to his mouth. "what about you?"

"english." calum spoke smiling how the pad of luke's thumb rubbed along the bottom of his lip. "before our classes begin do you want to catch up?"

luke smiled widely, "yeah, how about we go to the nearest cafe?" calum nodded agreeing with the blonde. "my mom refused to let me take my car here, so i have to wait a week for my dad and ashton to bring it."

calum pursed his lips and pulled out his keys wiggling them in luke's face. "guess you got to ride with me, lulu."

luke coughed at the friendly nickname, and they both realized that it's luke's ex name. "too soon."

they sat in the coffee shop eating big muffins and tea. "can i try some of yours?" calum questioned raising his eyebrows.

luke tore off a piece and held it up to calum's lips raising his eyebrows. "open your mouth."

calum did so and chewed and swallowed the blueberry-banana muffin. he nodded and hummed quietly. "yum!" he tore off a piece of his cherry-strawberry one and placed it in the blonde's mouth.

he smiled and they finished eating and left the cafe feeling the breeze of the chicago wind. they sat a bench and luke heavily sighed. "my mom is still hating the fact that we're best friends."

"she can suck it." calum tilted his head drinking his remaining tea from his to-go cup.

luke chuckled, "how is joy?"

"she's good...she told me to move on from you." calum looked to his fingers. "since i was always thinking about you, but didn't know how you felt."

"you want to know how i felt?" luke raised his eyebrows looking into calum's big round eyes.

"you never called me." calum shook his head frowning deeply.

luke huffed and looked down, "i wanted to trust me, but i felt bad because of the incident. and i never told you why i freaked out so badly."

"why did you freak out? we always kiss...why was this one different?"

"because i wanted more than a kiss at the time." luke simply answered. "and i felt bad about doing that to lulu...but we're not dating anymore. we broke up about two weeks before i headed down to bridge way uni."

"more than a kiss?" calum pursed his lips. he bit his lip and smirked looking down.

luke blushed and nodded. "i was in the moment, but it wasn't right to think that way so, i'm sorry."

calum shrugged and looked away. "i don't mind."

luke scoffed and smiled widely. "i miss kissing you." he spoke softly staring at calum. "like a lot, a lot, a lot."

"i miss kissing you too." calum looked into luke's blue eyes.

"then kiss me." luke whispered. calum leaned into him and placed his lips on his. luke moved his hands to calum's cheeks and brushed along the soft skin.

their lips moved against each other's slowly and softly. calum's slim fingers claw into the bench biting luke's bottom lip. he moved away but the blonde moved closer to him kissing him again.

luke moaned softly licking in his mouth and finally moved away. "i couldn't just stop." he placed a small kiss on his forehead and stood up. "let's go."
