I wake up to someone lifting me out of the warm bed. I whine and push my face into daddy's neck. I am cold and want to sleep more. He changes me into a pull up, black track suit and gives me his giant yellow hoodie in case I get cold. He puts on my white tennis shoes. He wears a red and white track suit and white tennis shoes, so he will be comfortable while he drives.

Once we are ready daddy takes us to the car. Yes, he actually carries me to the car. Good thing he can't see me rolling my eyes. I shouldn't complain so much inside my head since I am still tired and don't really mind. Mom and dad, and Ava and Axe are waiting to tell us bye. I get passed around to everyone for hugs and kisses. Eh cringe. Lucky for them I am feeling little or I would have been mad. I am excited for our trip, but I hope I can get some more sleep on the way.

Once daddy has strapped me in to my car seat he gets in the drivers seat. He is letting me sit up front since the windows are really tinted and no one will see my car seat. Thank goodness! I don't wanna be seen as a weirdo or anything. I already get weird looks because I'm shorter than everyone around here, even the kids and teenagers.

Anders: You ready to go baby?

Gavin: Yes please!

Anders: How old are you right now little one?

Gavin: Three (holding up 3 fingers)

Anders: Aww my baby is feeling little! That makes daddy happy.

Daddy turns on the music and hands me a sippy cup with some apple juice. I put it in my own cup holder and snuggle with my blanket. As I start to drift back off to sleep, I feel daddy place a paci in my mouth. I immediately start sucking on it as my eyes refuse to stay open any longer.

Once Gavin wakes back up I will get us some breakfast. It is still really early, so I hope he stays asleep for a few hours. I plan to drive north up to Mt. Zander. They have a zoo and camping areas there. We can hike and go to the zoo and explore the caves. They even have a giant lake we can fish and go swimming. I hum softly to the radio and continue driving to our destination. I think we will get settled into the camp site tonight and explore the zoo tomorrow since it takes about 8 hours to get to the mountain.

After about three hours Gavin starts to wake up. It's currently around seven since we left around four. After my little one removes his paci he starts talking.

Gavin: Daddy I'm hungry.

Anders: Okay baby, what do you want to eat?

Gavin: Cheese Toast please

Anders: Okay hun, can you wait a few minutes until we can stop to get gas and then I will make you some toast. When we stop I want you to go to the bathroom and wash up before we eat.

Gavin shakes his head and puts his paci back in. I look at the built in GPS and see there is a gas station near by. I pull up to it and let Gavin out so he can go in the back to use the bathroom and wash his hands. It is strange to me that he doesn't say much, most of my past relationships talked ALL THE TIME! It is different, but it's just part of him being so shy I guess. Even in little space he doesn't talk a ton.

I finished getting gas and grab the keys so no one drives off with the RV while I'm in the back. Gavin is sitting at the table playing on his tablet. I grab 4 pieces of toast for me (yes I'm a fat kid who is also 7' tall, so sue me) and 2 for Gavin. I put cheese on all six of them and turn the oven on.

Once the toast is golden brown I get a firefighter plate for little man and a regular one for myself. I fix myself some sweet tea and grab Gavin's apple juice sippy cup and sit it at the table with him. I notice that he can barley reach the table so I decide to take matters into my own hands. I left him from under his arms and place him in my lap so it will be easier for him to eat. He doesn't complain for once and for that I am thankful. He is too absorbed in his show to notice that breakfast is ready.

Anders: Baby, it's time to eat. Can you please put the tablet down for daddy?

Gavin: But daddy, this show is sooooooooooooo good.

Anders: I know it is baby, let's just pause it and you can finish it after we eat and get back on the road. We should be at the campsite around noon or so.

Gavin: Okay daddy, me be a good boy and eat.

Anders: Thank you baby, you are my good boy!

We eat our cheese toast in a comfortable silence. Once we are finished I take our plates to the dishwasher and help Gavin wash his hands. I grab his tablet and buckle him back into his car seat. He takes his tablet happily and continues watching his show. We get back on the road and continue on to the camp site.

After three more hours I can tell my baby is getting board.

Gavin: Daddy, I'm cold and need to go potty pwease.

Anders: Let me pull over and you can go to the bathroom. I will grab you my hoodie so you won't be cold.

Gavin: Tank you daddy

I smile at my baby boy and pull off the road. I unbuckle Gavin and swing him into my lap so I can give him hugs and kisses.

Gavin: Daddy stop! I have to go potty!

I don't respond, but I do let him go. I grab the hoodie that I left on the couch and wait for him to finish. He comes out a few minutes later.

Anders: Here you go baby. Arms up!

He lifts his skinny arms up and I pull the hoodie over his mop of hair. I think he needs a hair cut soon. He goes to get back in his seat and I decide to use the bathroom as well since we are stopped. I finish up and refill my tea for the road. Gavin sips on his juice and I smile to myself. Life is so good.

Eventually we arrive at the secluded campsite and it's about 1pm. I think we need some lunch and maybe a nap. This daddy is tired. I park the RV and help Gavin out of his seat. He seems hyper and restless, so maybe we should go hiking after lunch.

Anders: Let daddy get things set up for tonight then I will make some lunch and we can get ready and go hiking to explore a little bit. Sound good?

Gavin: That sounds fun daddy. Can I play while you make lunch?

Anders: Sure baby, just be careful.

He gets some toys out from the basket I brought and starts playing with his race cars. I decide to make chicken nuggets and fries for lunch. While the food is cooking I pack a backpack for our hike. Soon the food is done and we wash up before we eat.

After we finish I clean up the mess while Gavin cleans up his toys.

Anders: Hey baby, daddy wants you to wear a diaper for our hike in case you need to potty. There won't be any bathrooms around and that way I can change you if you need to go bad.

Gavin: I don't want to daddy. Please don't make me.

Anders: It's just to be safe in case you have an accident. No one will be around, but You don't have to use it if you don't need to.

I don't give him a chance to respond and just pick him up and take him to the bedroom. I remove his pants and pull up (which is dry) and replace it with a thin diaper. He pouts but doesn't complain because he knows I'm right. I fix his clothes and grab our backpack. Since it's October and we are in the mountains it is chilly. Gavin tries to take off my hoodie that he is wearing but I stop him.

Anders: It's cold outside baby boy. Keep daddy's hoodie on okay?

Gavin: Okay daddy. Can we go now? I excited!

Anders: Let's go little one. Hold my hand though.

He places his tiny hand in my huge one and we head out on the trail. The landscape is beautiful and I can't help but to pull out my phone and take some pictures for Gavin. He bounces some when he walks and I can't help but laugh. He goes to pull away from me but I hold his hand tighter. He notices he can't get away and looks up at me with a pout of his face.

Gavin: Daddy let go. I wanna go see the pretty flowers please.

Anders: You can't touch those baby, they are poisonous. I'm sorry.

Gavin Gasps but doesn't try to get away from me anymore. I can tell he is disappointed, but I will find him some flowers he can pick. We continue walking and taking more pictures. This trail makes a circle and soon we are back at the RV. I check my phone and it's already 6pm. Gavin has been really quiet the last half hour and I want to know why. Maybe he is just sleepy

Anders: What's wrong baby? Are you tried?

Gavin: Daddy, Gavin had an accident.

Anders: It's okay baby, let's go get you out of those clothes and into the bath. Accidents happen. Daddy is not mad.

Poor baby was scared I would be mad at him for wetting himself. He is so precious. I carry him into the camper and straight into our bedroom. I strip us both down and run a hot bath. I add bubbles and toys for Gavin. Once we are settled in the tub I start talking.

Anders: Are you tired baby?

Gavin: Gavin tired daddy.

Anders: Thats okay, we can watch tv and cuddle after our bath. Daddy will make pizza for dinner. Sound good?

Gavin: Me not hungry daddy, full from lunch.

Anders: Okay baby, let's see how we feel after our bath and cuddles.

Gavin just smiles and nods his head. I get us clean and let him play for a few minutes while I let me mind wonder to tomorrow. I want to surprise Gavin with a trip to the zoo. I already got us tickets and a tour guide for all the exhibits. The zoo is actually having a littles day tomorrow so there will be other littles and daddy's there. I plan on making Gavin use the stroller part of the day or when he gets tired of walking or being carried.

Anders: Time to get out baby cakes or you will shrivel up like a prune.

Gavin: Otay daddy. Help please.

I pick him up and wrap him in a fluffy towel. I lay him on the bed and put another diaper on him. I grab some boxers and a t shirt for myself and get him a long sleeve bear onesie to sleep in. He looks so adorable like this. I push his little bear paci into his mouth and hang our towels up to dry.

I clean up our dirty clothes and make sure the bathroom is tidy. Once I'm pleased with it, I pick my little one up and lay him in the bed. I turn on some cartoons and snuggle with my baby. Today was a busy, but fun day. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. The last thing I think before drifting off is I guess we are skipping dinner tonight, good thing we had a late lunch.
