"Are you going sit in here with me? "
"I don't know. I don't want to be in your way since you are about to have a client meeting." I said looking down.
He was holding both of my hands doing circular motions.
It made me blush that he was so soft and caring.
"Yes, it's a new client there trying find there lost son. They need a good investigator, but babe you are my love. You can be in here." I shook my head.
"Please love." He said kissing my neck.
"Walk me to your dad's office." We walked down the hall and I gave him hug.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"Okay love come in anytime." He said kissing my lips.
He slapped my ass. I looked back at him and he was biting his lips.
"You pervert." He chuckled.
He winked at me and walked away.
I went in his dad's office.
I greeted his father and sat down in the one the seats.
"So my son tells me he wants you here all the time?" He said chuckling. I nod my head.
"That's how I was when I first met my wife. Now she is here all the time. Can't get rid of her." He said chuckling. I stared laughing.
"I know this program that for four years you can get your law degree and bachelor. What was your gpa in high school?"
"3.7 sir."
"Good good. I will talk to one of the colleges I donate to and I will get you in. Okay?" I nodded my head. Then his speaker came on.
"Dad? Is my love in there?"
"Are you talking about me?" I said.
"Yes, can you come in here?"
"Aren't you in a meeting?"
"Yes, just come in here please." I said goodbye to his father and to Desmond's office.
"Come in." I hear him yell. I walked in.

"Son?" A voice said. It was older man that got up.

"I'm sorry I don't know who you are. I have no parents."
"Zack, you look really good." The older women said.
"Can we talk to you?" Old man said. I shook my head and step back.
"I don't want to talk to you"
"Is this why you called me in here?" I asked turning to Desmond.
"Love don't be like that."
"Love? You guys are together." The older man said.
"Yes, he is my husband." Desmond said. Both of there eyes widen. There eyes was definitely filled with regret.
"You're dad is sick." Desmond said.
"Like I told you I have no parents. My parents died two years ago.
I couldn't take it anymore. I ran into conference room and started hyperventilating.
I needed to breath. I felt arms engulf me into a hug. I knew it was him.
"I didn't know it was them until they told me there names. Please don't be mad at me."
"I don't want them here." I said crying.
"Love just breathe with me. Just breathe with me." I followed his instructions and breathe in and out slowly.
"I love you." He whispered in my ear.
"I love you too."
"Can you please see what they want? They really want to talk to you. They feel nothing but regret."
"Well, you be there?" I asked.

"Can we start over?" My dad said.
"I'll think about it." I said. My dad put down a piece of paper with there number on it.
"I have to get him back home. He is too sick to be out long. Please call us." My mom said.
"It was pleasure meeting you Mr. Heart. I hope I get to see you again. Can we hug you?" My mom asked.

"I'm not going see them again."
"Love maybe-"
"No, I'm not. You don't know what's it like."
"Okay." He said putting his hands up in defeat.
"I'll meet you home." I said walking out.
I got home and took a bath.
Once I got home I took me nice long bath. It was too much to process.
I laid down to take a nap.
************
"Love." I heard against my lips.
"Mmh?" I whispered turning to my side.
"Can you wake up?" My eyes started to flutter open.
"Why are you always laying on me?" I chuckled.
"I like laying on you." I wrap my arms around his neck.
"I miss you." I said.
"I missed you too. I'm sorry. You're right I don't know. I grew with parents that accepted me. That always try to set me up with blind dates." He said as a chuckled. "I will do support you in whatever you do."
"Thank you. It's fine. I know you didn't understand." He smiled and had his thinking face on. "What?"
"Babe lets get married for real." I sat up on the bed.
"What?"
"What? We live like a marry couple. Do you want to be with me forever."
"I wouldn't mind." I said looking down at my hands. He grazed my face. He lean in and kiss my lips.
"Okay. I will propose to you and you can plan the wedding with my mom." I blushed.
"When will you propose?"
"I'm not telling you love." He kissed my cheek and walked away.
***********
One week later
I haven't really been seeing Desmond. He has been working late and he hardly talks to me.
We haven't talked about the wedding he hasn't propose to me. I don't know if he still wants to be with me.
I took a deep breath.
He was in his office at home so I figure I knock on door.
"Come in!" He yelled
"Hey." I said walking in.
"What's up love?"
"I made dinner. Did you want to eat?"
"No thank you." He didn't even look up to me. I just stood there staring at him.
"Is there something else you needed?" He said looking back to me.
"Is everything okay with us?" I asked holding my arms.
"Yes why wouldn't it be?"
"You never want me around anymore. You don't even try to have sex with me."
"I'm busy." He said shrugging his shoulders. He turn his head back to his computer.
"Do you still want me?" Then his phone rang.
"I need to take this." I place my head down and walked out.
I guess he doesn't want me anymore.
Deep breaths.

The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Taking this as a sign that he was destined to rule over others and become the new king of this land, he poisoned his father, killed his elder brother, and embarked on the path to greatness, taking advantage of a demonic invasion to consolidate power and harvest the abilities of others in a cruel and bloody fashion. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
