《I Don't Like You - Beomgyu x Taehyun》XVI

phone alarm went off but instead of turning it off he set it to snooze which would give him another ten minutes to try and fall back asleep. His eyes were burning from the lack of sleep and possibly other reasons. Beomgyu laughed bitterly to himself as he turned over to lay on his stomach. He laid like that for a while and right when he drifted into a slight slumber his phone began to ring again causing him to scream into his pillow.
"I don't wanna go," he cried, sitting up and turning off his phone. After another minute of whining he managed to drag himself out of bed into the bathroom. "Oh come on" he groaned and hit his puffy cheeks, "Why are you so swollen?" Feeling insecure, he went over to his wardrobe and grabbed an oversized black hoodie paired along with a black face mask,"Mr. Kim wouldn't like this but I don't care." Making sure he has everything he needed, he headed out.

"Oh," Kai laughed as Beomgyu entered the stage area, "Good morning sunshine." The grumpy boy growled causing Kai to jump back, "We aren't supposed to debut Cat and Dog until next month silly."
"Funny," Beomgyu eyed him as he went to go put his bag down with the others.
"Anyways, now that everyone is here we should start running through our show so we have time to rest before tonight," Soobin instructed.
Taehyun looked around the area, "Our supervisor isn't here yet."
"They aren't sending one today," Soobin shrugged.
"What? Why not?" Beomgyu asked as he rejoined the group.
Yeonjun furrowed his brows, "What if someone gets hurt?"
"Apparently they're shorthanded," Soobin clicked his tongue, "Something about some new girl students transferring in today."
"New students already?" Kai gasped, "but we just enrolled not too long ago."
"I know it's crazy," Soobin scratched the back of his neck, "As for anyone getting hurt let's hope that doesn't happen but if it does as leader I'll take full responsibility and get them the help they need." Yeonjun leans over and whispers something is Soobin's ear and he nods before whispering something back.
"Oh my gosh! Are you two dating now?" Kai gushed at the two's smallest interaction.
"No," Soobin shook his head firmly and Yeonjun cast his gaze in the opposite direction of the younger.
"Yeonjun?" Taehyun blinks at him a few times causing the older to look confused.
Yeonjun looked over at Soobin, "Does he know?" Soobin nodded at both of the members.
"What kind of bull is this?" Kai pouted, "Why are you keeping secrets all of a sudden?"
"It's called favoritism Kai," Beomgyu locked eyes with Taehyun for a split second before clasping Kai's hand, "but I don't know what they're talking about either so that makes you my favorite."
"Ah," Kai blushed at the unexpected action, "but Yeonjun is my favorite."
Beomgyu scoffed as he dropped the younger's hand, "Go back to Hawaii."
"Should we just rehearse in the order of the show?" Soobin asked, trying to change the subject.
"Yeah I would think so," Beomgyu said.
"Well don't you guys want to try flirting with each other first? Just to make sure it's not so awkward tonight, " Taehyun asked.
They all looked around at one another and Beomgyu made the most obviously fake laugh, "Won't they like it better if we're just ourselves?"

"Honestly I'd rather that," Taehyun paused for a moment, "but we have to do what Jimin says. He is our teacher after all."
"He's right," Soobin sighed, "I know it's going to be weird but if we don't do it now it'll be even worse."
"Well what about you Taehyun?" Beomgyu looked in the younger boy's direction, "You don't have anyone to flirt with."
"Yeah and?" the brown haired boy shrugged.
"What are you going to do?" Yeonjun clarified.
"Not sure," Taehyun admitted, "I'll probably just walk around and make sure everything is set up for tonight or just make fun of you guys."
"Do whatever you want, maybe even rest a little," Soobin suggested, "I'll text you whenever we need you."
Taehyun nodded as Beomgyu whined, "That's not fair."
"Welcome to the idol world," Yeonjun rolled his eyes.
"Can we please just start already?" Kai began to tap his foot and made a sour face, "It feels like we've been standing here forever."
"Yeah," Soobin clapped his hands together, "We'll see you in maybe an hour."
"Ok," Taehyun waved them off before walking down in front of the stage. He considered going to one of the recording booths and practice his singing or one of the dance rooms to clean up some of their routine but decided the best way for him to do is just sit in one of the seats and do nothing. Taehyun tried to clear his mind and let his body relax by zoning out but couldn't help but notice his eyes seemed to wander over to a certain boy. The way Beomgyu interacted with Soobin seemed natural and if Taehyun didn't know any better he would have believed they were a thing; just the thought made the younger's chest feel heavy.
Taehyun wondered what would have happened if he ended up in Beomgyu's room last night instead of tagging along with Soobin. Would they have fought again or would they have been cuddling and flirting just like they have been the few days prior? His thoughts took a sudden turn to the morning after their game of Truth or Dare. Beomgyu had said he liked him but was trying to fight his sexuality before he could say anything for sure. Taehyun wondered what would have happened if he believed him instead of pushing the older away like this, he wondered- "Ow!" Taehyun hissed as he realized he was digging his nails into his legs and quickly let go. The pain snapped Taehyun back into reality. Sighing, Taehyun decided to pay more attention to what the two were actually saying.
"Beomgyu why aren't you reacting to me?" Soobin tilted his head after getting no reaction to his flirtatious comment.
"I-uh," the shorter bit his lip, "Sorry that one just kind of caught me off guard."
"How come?" Soobin took a step forward and placed a hand on Beomgyu's shoulder, "We were doing great just a second ago."
"I don't know," Beomgyu switched his gaze between the boy in front of him and the other boy sitting in the audience. It's because Taehyun is watching but he knew if he told Soobin that it would only stir up more trouble, "I'm just not good at this kind of stuff," he looked down at Soobin's feet as embarrassment grew on his face.

"It doesn't matter how good or bad you are at flirting," Soobin ran his finger along Beomgyu's jawline, making the younger feel even more awkward, "You just have to pretend you are to the point it's believable."
Beomgyu swatted Soobin's wrist away from him and took a few steps back, "I know that I just-"
"You just what?" Soobin asked through gritted teeth.
"You make me feel uncomfortable!" Beomgyu dramatically threw out his arms, "There I said it. I don't want to do this with you."
Soobin sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "I don't think any of us want to do this but we have to. Jimin made that pretty clear yesterday did he not?"
"He did," Beomgyu avoided eye contact with the older.
"So why are you acting like this?" Soobin asked, obviously annoyed and Beomgyu only shrugged. Soobin looked over at Taehyun before walking over to Beomgyu and whispered something in his ear. Taehyun scooted closer to them in his seat in attempt to hear what he was saying, but the five inch difference obviously made no difference.
Beomgyu looked up at Soobin as he pulled away and gave him a soft smile, "Ok, I'm sorry again."
"It's alright Baby Doll," Soobin smirked, "Let's just foc-" Taehyun mimicked a very loud sound of him vomiting causing the two boys to jump and look over at him.
Taehyun couldn't help but smile, "Sorry," he quickly slung his bag over his shoulder and left the stage area. There wasn't any certain place he wanted to go so he just headed to the nearest room, the dressing room. He thought he could maybe get a quick nap in or peek at the costumes they were going to wear tonight.
Taehyun placed his hand on the knob when he heard a voice from the other side of the door, "Where is it?" There shouldn't be anyone else here since the faculty is busy and other students aren't allowed around here when a group is preparing for a show. Taehyun just shrugged and opened up the door anyways. The other person jumped and they stared at each other for a few seconds before Taehyun broke the silence.
"Jennie?" Taehyun gasped, "What are you doing in my dressing room?"
"I uh," she quickly dropped the scissors and outfit she was holding, "I'm here supervising Tomorrow by Together since everyone is busy. Who are you anyways?"
"Are you serious?" Taehyun laughed.
"What?" Jennie furrowed her brows, "I've never seen you around here so stop acting so entitled."
'She really doesn't know who I am?' Taehyun could use this to his advantage. A smug look played on the younger's face, "You don't know me because I was sent here from SM to supervise the practice. The name's Renjun and you better tell me what you were really doing here before I report you." Jennie's face went pale but she didn't respond.
"Cat got your tongue?" Taehyun tapped his foot impatiently, he enjoyed imitating his friend's attitude.
Jennie stared at him for a moment before letting out a snort, "I don't have to tell you anything, Taehyun."
Taehyun parted his lips in surprise.
"Don't look so suprised, you don't look anything like Renjun," Jennie cocked an eyebrow.
"Whatever,"Taehyun scoffed, "I'm more suprised it took you this long to notice."
"I've only ever seen you on stage like one time," Jennie rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, "How was I supposed to recognize you that quickly?"
"Common sense," Taehyun snickered before letting his attention return to the items laying on the floor in front of him, "Were you trying to cut up our costumes or something?"
"I guess you caught me," Jennie sighed as she picked up the clothes and threw them at the boy, "I was going to say some pretty nasty things about you guys through an extra microphone I planned to hook up to the speakers but your leader is a snitch."
"Or maybe just maybe he wanted the concert to go well to keep his career growing," Taehyun suggested.
"Whatever,"Jennie played with her ponytail, "I'm really running out of ideas."
"Here's one!" Taehyun clasped his hands together, "How about you leave us alone! I know it sounds crazy but literally none of us want you here, not Beomgyu, not Soobin, so why are you still trying to ruin our concert?"
"You guys are still higher on the charts than me, that's why!" Jennie snarled, "I'm losing fans as you guys gain them it's not fair."
"I wonder why," Taehyun darted his eyes around the room, "Just leave Jennie. There's plenty of other ways for you to gain attention like focusing on your own career instead of someone else's."
"Fine," Jennie huffed, "Your career is bound to fail on it's own anyways," she shoved the scissors in her pocket before pushing Taehyun out of the way and leaving the room.
"What a nice girl," Taehyun watched to make sure Jennie left the stage area completely before closing the door and resting in one of the chairs. "Maybe things will start to calm down now that she's gone," Taehyun smiled and closed his eyes. Just when he began to relax his phone buzzed. It was a text from Yeonjun saying that they were ready for him to come back. Taehyun reluctantly got up and joined his members back on stage.

Beomgyu struggled to catch his breath after they had finished Blue Orangeade. He was tired but the audience's loud cheer and applause gave him all the energy he needed to keep going. The concert was going great so far and they only had one more song to perform before the called it a night.
The only problem was that he knew Soobin was mad at him. Everytime Soobin would try to flirt with him Beomgyu wouldn't give him the reaction he was hoping for. He wasn't doing it to disobey Jimin or spite Soobin; he had a plan of his own and he knew if he followed Soobin's lead it would fail.
"Are you guys ready?" Kai called out to the audience, receiving a lot of yelling by the fans.
They got ready in their positions for Crown and just like that the music started. Beomgyu focused all of his attention on his performance but he knew once the bridge of the song hit he had to take action. It was either a hit or miss plan and he only had one chance to do it.
As the music got closer and closer Beomgyu's heart rate increased and before he knew it it was time. Beomgyu was now singing as he was back to back with Taehyun while the other members were spinning around them but before he could finish his line, he spun Taehyun around and placed a soft kiss on his lips.
