《Invincible Ones [A Walking Dead Story]》Chapter 10- Will You Just Go Away?

I woke up with pain in my side. I frown and get up. Even though it hella hurt. Carl walks into the cell.
He sat me back down onto my bed. "Hey hey, you can't walk, Em." Carl says and I sigh.
"Well what am I gonna do? Crawl everywhere?" I say sarcastically.
Carl shakes his head and smirks. "Of course not, you'll rip you're stitches!" Carl says and I groan.
"So I'm not gonna be able to leave my cell?" I ask.
Carl shook his head and picks me up bridal style. "Carl!" I moan and he chuckles. "Uggghhh." I sigh and he sits me down at a table and Beth hands me a granola.
"Morning!" Beth says and I nod.
"Morning, Beth." I say and Carl sits down next to me.
"How you feeling?" Carl asks me and I shrug.
"Like I got shot." I smirk and Carl eats his breakfast bar.
Merle sat down next to me. "Hey lil' sis, since when did you become so tough?" He asks and I raise an eyebrow.
"Uhh, is that supposed to be an insult or a compliment? And what do you even mean?" I say, baffled. You never know with Merle.
He chuckles. "Oh, Ember. I'll leave you to making out with your boyfriend." He smirks and gets up after grabbing a granola bar and leaves the cafeteria. I raise an eyebrow.
"Did I mention Daryl was always my favorite brother?" I ask Beth and Carl and they nod. "Anyways, it's my shift in watch." I say and Carl stops me.
"No, I'll take it for you." He says and I groan.
"Carl, I can do it. You'll be up there in the guard tower for two watches in a row!" I protest but he shakes his head.

"Nope, sorry. You need to rest."
"But I don't want to rest. I want to be productive!" I moan.
"Then how about I take it with you." Carl suggests and I shrug and he picks me up bridal style. I moan again and he laughs.
Glenn went on a run and found this boy named Will and I'm like- "yeah, whatever. Its not like Glenn to leave a kid out there alone to die."
Mygunshotwound was all healed up and Hershel took the stitches out. I hugged Hershel and thanked him. I hope Carl will finally let me walk again. I'm still getting used to walking normally. I had a scar where the shot used to be.
Carl was up at the guard tower, doing his watch shift. Beth was taking care of Judith with Carol in the Cafeteria. And my brothers were doing whatever brothers do. Like argue with each other or being jerks to each other. Like normal families.
So Hershel went outside with Maggie to discuss some things with Glenn, I don't know what but I'm not really too much concerned about it. So I was in my cell, with nothing to do. It felt so bleak.
I realized that I left my knife in the cafeteria and left my cell to walk to the cafeteria. But I was pulled into another cell and it was Will.
He punched me in the jaw and I fell to the ground. I held my jaw and glare at Will. "What the hell!?" I yell and he kept beating me. I tried to fight back but it wasn't too effective. "Stop! Get away! Stop...hitting..." I tried to lunge at Will, but he was way stronger than me.
I start screaming for help but Will put a hand over my mouth. "If you go near Carl again I will kill him and beat you within an inch of your life. And if you snitch out, you'll wish you hadn't set foot on earth." Will hisses and a tear streams down my cheek. "Got it? Now if you scream one more time...I will kill you." Will threatens and he removes his hand from my mouth. "Good..." He says and he gets up and starts to walk out the cell. "Oh yeah," he says, turning around. He kicked me in the stomach. "I wish you a pleasant day." He smirks and walks out.

I was breathing heavily and I start swearing under my breath. I shakily get up and stumble back to my cell. I lay down in my bed and stare at the wall.
What.
The.
Hell?

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus

Ira’s Faithful
[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. I am also not a professional author. This is simply a rough draft and therefore subject to change. Furthermore, this fiction is rather slow-paced for a rather long time. But compare it to a bundle of dynamite, you wouldn't want that to explode right in someone's face, would you? Philosophers corner
I won’t say this is a fiction, In fact it’s just things I suppose I need to put out there! Some things might be synonymous to a story, mainly my story. Interesting tidbits I’ve wrote down while high, sad or otherwise distracted in life. Hopefully it’s received well! This is for those who believe they are alone, you aren’t.
