Kiera went to the Academy (Operations) about two years after her sister had graduated from the Sciences department. She was even younger than Jemma when she started but was recruited because S.H.E.I.L.D. saw her potential. She was still at the school when her sister was recruited but, when S.H.E.I.L.D. fell, she was recruited by Coulson for his team even though she didn't fully graduate. He needed people he could trust.

- Her powers weren't activated until she touched the Obelisk/Diviner. She went into the temple with Skye and was the first to turn to stone but also the first to be freed. Seeing Skye like that made her scream

- She was an exceptional gymnast in high school and that's what piqued S.H.E.I.L.D.'s interest
