The night of the Particle Accelerator explosion, she was up on the roof of her apartment and the blast of Dark Matter knocked her off the edge. She almost levitated down to the ground and that's how she's not dead

Originally, Jaidyn lived in Varadero, Cuba with both of parents and, ever since she'd been born, she had known her father to be physically, verbally and emotionally abusive to her mother. When Jaidyn became a teenager, she began understanding what was going on and she felt so... helpless. Unable to do anything. Until, she built up the courage to stand up for her mother but that resulted in something worse. That was the first, and last, time he hit his daughter. After that, Jaidyn's mother packed their bags and ran away. They ended up in North America and then moved to Central City where they've lived safely ever since.
