Michael Gray
Elara was born and raised in a little village in Sheffield with a beautiful white-brick wishing well in the middle of it. Her father used to work as a doctor in the local office but when she turned thirteen, he left the family and ran away to America with one of the nurses at his practice. Her mother had to get a job as a seamstress to make it by. By that time El's older brother was old enough to help out with the money problems. In 1913, Lucas was sent off to war and died in the Somme. Elara was devastated and didn't get over it enough for years but when she did, she met Michael or Henry at the time. They were the best of friends and told each other everything. They soon fell in love. El fell pregnant about two years later when they were she was sixteen and she was going to go tell him but, when she got there, he was already gone. She was so unbelievably upset but she had to care for her baby so she never felt the heartbreak to the full extent. She never told him because she wasn't sure if he left to get away from her so she thought it wouldn't be fair to drag him back (she knew he would) so her mother helped her out. Plus her mother absolutely despised him even from the beginning. Over two years later, Elara's mother died. She was very vulnerable after that and got into a completely toxic and abusive relationship. About a year later, she took Lucy and ran from that pretty village with that pretty wishing well and went to Birmingham to find Michael to tell him about their daughter and hoped he'd protect them.

- She obviously knew Michael as Henry before he left but heard from the woman he considered an adoptive mother back then that he changed his name. She had also heard of the Peaky Blinders even before she met him as a kid. They're kinda infamous. It became highly spread around gossip that he was now part of that gang
- She left the village when Lucy is three (the start of season 3 after the three year time jump when Michael is settled and accustomed to the Blinder lifestyle)
