《ONLY US (ongoing)》Chapter 19

Mabels period pains had become excruciating over the time she had it, 4 days.
The pain only ever settled when Adonis touched her and although Mabel tried to refrain from getting close to him, she always ended up walking around the large house searching for his comfort.
Some days she would find him downstairs, painting with the little girl she had taken, Blake.
Other days she wouldn't find him at all and just had to lay uncomfortably with Atreus or Freddie, whoever was stuck to her that day.
She had been thinking a lot of their mother, Callista.
Freddie had her beautiful eyes and it beat her up on the inside everytime she looked into them.
Everytime she saw them, she saw Callista up against a wall, crying and hands stretched out- as if trying to protect her kids in her very last breathe.
Recently, Atreus had been displaying very odd behaviours. Just that morning he had woken up screaming and ran to Mabels room, hiding under her covers and asking for his mom.
Mabel had told them prior that their mother had went to heaven, as she didn't have the heart to lie to them; but it seems Atreus really did take it harder than Freddie, not that Freddie didn't take it hard- he was just a kid, and he did what good kids do. Ignored it.
Now here Mabel is, holding onto Atreus as she walks around the house, looking for a certain someone.
She reaches the kitchen and hears faint giggling. Her eyebrows furrow as she recognises the giggle to be female.
She knocks slightly before she hears a sigh and hushed whispers.
the kitchen door swings open and she smiles at the face of a happy Sebastian.
Mabel wonders why she heard Sebastian giggling and looked around the room to find no one there, but Liam.
Liam gives her a grin and shoves some cookies into his mouth, "Ahhh Mabwel, nice to finawwly see you", he said, words distorted due to the fact his mouth was full.
"Hi Liam" Mabels reply came as she glanced suspiciously between the two. I mean she couldn't blame Sebastian for laughing, she knows how funny Liam can be, so she just dismissed the passing thought as if it had never happened.
she turned towards Seba again with the intent of feeding the child stuck to her.
"i-i'm sorry for coming in, b-but T-Trey hasn't eaten in a while and i-i'm a bit worried" Mabel said, running her petite hands through the boys hair.
Atreus visibly relaxes at her motherly touch and shoves himself up towards her hand, loving the feeling she gives him- a feeling so close to that of his mothers touch.
Sebastians eyes wander to the child and she nods happily.
"Oh yeah belly, no ish- I just cooked up some spicy chicken salad and vegetable soup if you think he'd maybe like that?"

She says, gesturing to behind Liam, where a large pot sits along with a massive glass bowl that shows the really appealing salad.
Atreus nods eagerly and Mabels face stretches into a small smile as she accepts the food offer and thanks Sebastian for her help.
Mabel doesn't miss how Liams eyes follow Sebastian around the kitchen as she sets everything up to be carried into the dining room- in fact, if she didn't know better, she would have thought of it as a rather longing gaze.
As Sebastian carries plate and food into the dining room, with the assistance of Mabel and Liam, the food is set out and Bash rings a small bell that's connected to others around the house, summoning the other kids and Adonis to the table.
Mabel took up the seat at the very end of the 12 seated table and Liam and Sebastian sat beside each other two seats away from her, while Atreus of course opted for the seat next to her.
Adonis comes sauntering in, dressed in a suit, but over the suit was a small tutu and fairy wings on his back, a pink fluffy scarf around his neck.
Mabel immediately let herself go the minute she saw him, he looked so much like the younger him- the Adonis she knew. He was holding the small hands of Freddie and Blake as he led them to the table while they wear similar get up.
Mabels laugh immediately filled the dining room, the air warming up with her sweet laughter, making everyone's eyes shoot to her.
Mabels smile was radiant on her face as she held her hands out to Adonis, beckoning to come over to her and when he appeared in front of her- hands outstretched as if to catch her, she only laughed more.
Liam was next to laugh and then the kids, spurring Sebastian to join in. None of them had seen the Luna show this type of joy until now, her display filling their hearts.
Adonis didn't laugh, instead his eyes almost seemed to water as he looked down at his love, the love he searched for, as she finally came a little out of her shell and become the girl she once was.
She seemed to calm down when she placed her hands in Adonis' outstretched ones, slowly calming down, though the smile etched on her face proved to be everlasting.
She opened Adonis' arms and made him twirl for her, before calling him "a beautiful princess' and sitting down in her designated seat.
Adonis blushed and took the seat next to her, while the two kids sat next to Atreus.
"Woah Don, did you just blush?" Liam mocked, face purple from laughter.
"Woah Liam, I see you are yet to grow a brain" Adonis mocked back, contorting his voice to be slightly higher and twirled non existent hair around in his finger.

Liam glared at Adonis as Sebastian covered her mouth to laugh into it before playing it off as a cough.
"Thanks for making the food Bash" Adonis smiled at her and the kids all chorused a thank you to the young lady.
"No problem babies, eat now talk later" she said, referring to the kids and Adonis, she mothered him more than she wanted to admit while Mabel was gone.
Mabel picked at her food, she would much rather make sure everyone ate before she did, something she picked up on while being captured.
Suddenly she had a thought.
"Hey h-honey? Do y-y-you know where Soter is? O-or Ame and Oria?" Mabel inquired, she had obviously heard of each of them being kept in a hospital to regain strength but they had been back almost three weeks and she was starting to worry about her family. Soter would sometimes call to the house but everytime he did, he would be kicked out because it was a "bad time".
Adonis' head shot up at the nickname only to be filled with dissatisfaction at that bloodsuckers name coming out of her sweet mouth.
"Yeah baby, aunt Oria and Ame went back to the pack they were taken from, looking for Orias mates family and he is currently staying in a house that was built earlier this year on the outskirts of the town, isolated from everyone- no one knows he is here and I'd much rather keep it that way considering the feud between our species right now" Adonis said, eyeing Mabels food, clearly seeing the fact she didn't so much as touch it yet.
Mabel slowly nodded to what he said before responding.
"I'd like to visit him later today" she said, sounding definite.
Adonis froze, along with everyone at the table.
Mabel got anxious with all the stares and her back began to cramp, Atreus saw and his small hand immediately held hers, trying to comfort her.
Mabel smiled at the young boy and slowly gained the courage to reach under the table and grasp Adonis' hand.
His gaze immediately snapped to her as his hand tightened around hers.
He nodded slowly, making Sebastian and Liam go back to whatever they were chatting about and Freddie and Blake to resume their game of Rock Paper Scissors.
"Yeah bee, that's a good idea- looking for some stability I think would be good for you. Could I please come with you?" He says, eyes boring into hers and no matter how much she wanted to say no, she really couldn't when looking into his dark beautiful eyes.
She nodded, while smiling. She feels like they have come to an arrangement and she's glad he didn't try to hold her back, rather met her in the middle.
"Mimi? I'm full" Atreus whispered next to her, pushing his plates away from him.
Mabel glanced at the boy and melted under his sleepy gaze, nodding her head and bringing him to sit in her lap and he cuddled up into her.
Adonis looked over them adoringly and brought Mabels hand that was still connected with his up to his lips, kissing it gently.
Mabel jumped as she felt the sparks through her body but soon she was beaming again.
Mabel released Adonis' hand and lifted Atreus' body up with her as she rose from the chair.
"Thank you for the food Seba I'll be down to help clean up once I get Trey up to sleep, im going to change and get ready to go to Soters" she said before walking out of the room, Blake and Freddie in tow, rubbing their eyes and telling Mabel they were tired too.
Once they were out of earshot Liam immediate protested.
"Bro what the fuck? What does she want to go to the vamp for? Why did you say yes? Also ohmygosh guys did you notice how she didn't stutter? So freaking proud right now" Liam giggled at the end, which was a stark contrast to his grave expression in the beginning.
"She didn't stutter cause she's coming out of her shell more dickwad, and you talking shit about her best friend isn't going to help" Sebastian rebuttals, glaring at Liam.
"The fuck you mean best friend? If I remember correctly that position was already taken?" Liam replied, pointing back at Sebastian who's shoulders sagged slowly.
"Yeah Lee, but for three years he's all she knew, we have to accept the new part of her if we ever want the old part back" she said confidently, fully faithful that her best friend would act like her best friend again.
Adonis stayed quiet and watched the two go back and forward.
But what he didn't want to admit was that he wanted to bring her to Soter just to see her act somewhat normal. Earlier was the first time shes truly let herself go, even if it was just a little, and Adonis wanted to know if Soter could spur any of that on to happen quicker.
His heart still hurt though, knowing he had to go to someone else just to see his mate happy.
But he would do anything to see her happy, even if she was to be friends with the bloodsucker that was so obviously in love with her.
He really hopes this goes well, because if it does, it means his bee will finally come home.
His bee will finally come home.
She also needs to eat, Adonis quickly remembered, maybe I'll make some of her favourite tortillas for dinner, he thought before walking off with an excited smile on his face and a tutu, pink fluffy scarf and fairy wings adorning his appearance.

The 8th Day
One day life is good. The next day it isn't! The boundaries between... well, whatever they're between.. have shattered! Monsters burst out from cracks in the universe, and reality suddenly begins to function similar to a game -- but not a game that anyone knows all the rules about! Magic is suddenly real, but so are monsters and death! Lots of death! And the worst part of it all? I think we did it to ourselves! We invented video games, and personally I think that great Finger-in-the-Sky picked up a console somewhere and started playing them. Since He liked what he saw, he must've declared, """"On the 8th Day, let there be Game!"But what do I know about it all, really. After all, I'm just """"The Witness"""" forced to observe it all.__________________________________________________________________________Author's Note: There's a lot of tales where characters get stuck in a Virtual Reality. """"Sword Art Online"""", """"Log Horizon"""", """"The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor"""". This is a story told with the premise inverted -- instead of a person from reality going into a virtual world, what would happen if the virtual world instead came to reality?I want this tale to speak about the aspects of the game, as it has affected the current reality, but the focus of the story should never be on the """"reality-turned-game"""" itself, but on the characters and their oh-so-human struggles, personalities, and attempt to adjust and live within the bounds of their new existence. Hopefully this won't just be a story of """"reality turned into a game"""", but instead will be something more meaningful such as a story of the strengths, perseverance, and humanity of man-kind as they try to adapt and face the unknown.*** And, most importantly, I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it. ***WARNING: RATED MATURE M[18+] FOR GORE, SEX, VIOLENCE. The apocalypse isn't a pretty place to try to survive in, and neither is every scene in a story trying to describe it.
