《Whatever》Chapter 35

I have tried absolutely anything my brain thought of to try and get the hell out of this prison cell. I tried slamming my body against the door of the cell, elongated my nails to slash the bars at the window and even tried to dig a hole. Desperation was so strong in my body, that I actually pressed every part of the wall just in case there was no secret passage that I've read in books and wattpad. The result?
Nothing.
Growling in frustration as I threw my hands in the air, I glumly plopped myself down on the floor as I leaned the back of my head against the wall. Closing my eyes shut, I let out a sigh of defeat as my body grew weary from all it went through moments before. As I looked outside the little window of my cell, dawn had just started to rise.
Another day... gone
"Breakfast Luna." a familiar soft voice mumbled. I looked to my left to see the girl who usually gave me my food and let out a soft smile as she came in my cell to set the tray down. Orange juice and a glass of water with eggs, sausages and pancakes covered the whole of the tray causing my mouth to water. I gave the tray laden with pancakes to the girl who took it willingly when she realized that I would usually share my foor with her.
When we were both done eating, just as she left my cell with the tray being carried, she whispered before closing my cell door shut, "Sunset. Look out the window."
What?
The whole morning my mind pondered over what the girl said and then the whole afternoon I tried once more to escape the cell but it was still to no avail. When I finally had given up, I had just looked towards the little window just in time to see a thin hand go pass the space of the bars to hold out a key. Cautious, I approached the hand just as a head knelt down to level with the window and a small smile graced its way on my lips when I saw it was the girl from before. I took the key from he in understanding and whispered out, "Thank you." Just as I was about to pull away, she grabbed hold of my outstretched hand and said gently, "No, thank you." Then, she was gone. I looked down at the key she gave me and saw a role of paper tied to it. Unrolling it, I read it and let out a smile when I saw she had given me a map to find my way out of here undetected.

Hopefully.
The note said,
"Dear Susan or Jesse,
I don't know which is your name because I've heard my Alpha speaking both of them and thought I might as well write both of it down. Currently, all the guards and warriors are at a meeting about attacking the Black Forest Pack and now is your chance to escape because there is no one at their post. As soon as you leave the cell, make a left and you will find a torch on a wall at the end of the passage. Push the button underneath it and a secret passage will reveal itself at the floor. As soon as your in, the door will cover itself and all you have to do is walk straight ahead. There will be a locked gate at the end of the passage but just push it because I've already unlocked it for you.
Good luck,
Hanna.
Hanna. So that's her name.
Dread started to form in my heart when it said that the Alpha wanted to attack Carters' pack. I knew I had to warn him so with determination and hope finding its way once more in my heart, I nervously approached cell door and slipped the key into the lock and let out a breath as I twisted it open. Relief coursed through my body when it turned fully and I pushed the door open. Without any time to waste, I ran to the left and was shocked to see the many empty cells.
I shook my head to focus on my goal which was to warn Carter before who knows what calamity might befall on him and his pack. Just as Hanna had said, there was a torch glowing brightly with sparks flying and I quickly pushed the button. My eyes bulged open when a small doorway revealed itself at the tips of my feet. Gulping, I quickly went down before the door closed itself shut once more. With a sigh of relief, I looked at my surroundings and wrinkled my nose in disgust when the smell of sewage water drifted up to my nose. Shaking my head with my lips pursed in disgust, I followed Hanna's instructions and sure enough, the gate was there and I pushed it to find it unlock just like she said.

I quickly made my way out of that place and let out a breathy laugh when I saw nothing but the wilderness for miles around. Excited, I tried to contact my wolf but only heard silence. I let out a sigh as I mumbled, "Guess I'm running in human form." Looking around carefully, I sprinted out of there and went straight in the forest just as a ferocious growl from that hell hole sounded.
Assuming it wasn't good, I picked up the pace and went to find my way back to find Carter and warn him about this psychopathic Alpha. My wolf gave me some numerous ideas about what else we could do once we found Carter but I shook that thought away furiously. I would only warn him, help him anyway I can and then I'll be on my merry way living a mateless life.
Right?
