《Whatever》Chapter 34

"What part of 'fuck off' did you not understand?" I snarled as I whipped my head to glare at the door that was being barricaded by my bed. With all the anger coursing through my veins and that moment, it was a miracle the bed didn't break in to smithereens when I pulled it and kicked it towards the door so hard there was a dent on the wall where the head of the bed made contact with the wall. "Opened this door this instant!" the 30-something-year-old man yelled out while I just let out a dry laugh as I answered, "I would but, my bed seems to have grown legs and has barricaded the door." A ferocious growl was heard from beyond the door as I sat on the door while staring at it with my left eyebrow raised. The door knob kept jiggling as he kept shouting for me to move the bed while I just snarled, "Fuck off you asshole. The only time I'm moving that bed is when this chain is off and I can pummel you till you can't breathe without a machine!" Suddenly, he burst through door causing it to splinter and sending most of what was a door flying forwards and the bed was split in half with its woods splintering open.
Oops.
Before I could even react, my hair was pulled upwards causing me to yelp as he growled in my face with his eyes black, "You will obey me and do as I say! I will not tolerate for any disrespect from anyone even if you are my mate!" I shouted out while trying to pry his fingers off of my hair, "I'm not your mate! Carter is!"
Wait.
What?
My eyes widened when I could not believe at what I just confessed.

"That mutt claimed anothers mate and he had no right! He will be punished severely right after I've dealt with you!" he snarled as he rough tossed me back on the ground when he barked out, "Throw her in the dungeon! And prepare the warriors!"
Scraping my hands against the concrete floor as I was tossed in to a jail cell, I quickly turned around to try and squeeze pass the opening when it was locked shut. Glaring at the brunette blue eyed guy, he simply shrugged and walked away as I went to grab the metal bars. As soon as my hands came in contact with them, I hissed out loud and looked down at my hands to see them blistering up.
Silver.
Growling, I paced in my cell door as I looked for any escape route but all there was was the cell door and a small window above letting in air with bars on it. Getting on the tips of my toes, I went to grab the bars of the windows to only yelp as I wiped my hand on the shirt I was wearing.
Wolfsbane.
Frustrated, I sat on the floor while trying to think of a way to escape. I must've nodded off at some point because when my eyes fluttered open and my neck was screaming in pain at having to stay in one position for so long when the cell door was unlocked. A young girl this time around my age with both brown hair and brown eyes set down a a tray of porridge and bread with a glass of water on the ground while mumbling, "Dinner Luna."
I was about to reply when the sound of rumbling from my stomach which made me sigh in defeat as I grabbed the tray reluctantly and started to tear the roll of bread in to small pieces and chewed down on it. I had just picked up the bowl of porridge when the sound of rumbling filled the silence. Staring up at the young girl, I caught a sign of redness on her cheeks.

Understanding, I offered the bowl of porridge to her with a soft smile on my face as I said in a kind voice, "Take it. I'm not that hungry anymore." She had just opened her mouth to protest when I pushed the bowl firmly in her hands and simply drank the glass of water that was left on the tray as the girl looked at me with conflict written on her face. "But," she started but I simply shook my head firmly and said, "It's all right. Go ahead." She let out a sigh before picking up the spoon on the tray and started to dig in slowly before she practically drank the whole bowl within seconds.
"Thank you." she mumbled as she hurriedly picked up the tray and closed the cell door shut as she hurriedly made her way out. I looked up at the small window and saw the sky had already darkened and a chill was in the air as I wrapped my arms around myself. Catching sight of the stars in the sky, an old memory started to take place in my mind of the night Carter rejected me on my birthday.
Placing my cheek on my arm, I let out a sigh as the feeling of loneliness started to form in my heart when I saw his expressionless face when he just turned away after rejecting me. It was obvious he didn't care for a mate and would rather I drop dead than actually survive this ordeal. A tear slipped out from the corner of my eye as my throat closed up and my eyes became blurry from its vision.
Silently crying to myself, I didn't know why I was; I just felt so hopeless that moment as I thought not even my mate would try to come and save me. My parents would come back and probably not notice my disappearance while Kya would just be in her own little world with Ryder by her side.
I cowered in fear at the thought of being so alone and forgotten by everyone I cared for.
Even if that person was Carter.
