《Whatever》Chapter 33

As my eyes fluttered opened slowly, I winced at the pounding sensation my head gave me as I tried to get up. Groggily getting in to a sitting position, I rubbed the back of my head as I took a look of my surroundings. I was chained to the wall by my right ankle that was long enough for me to walk around the bedroom I was in. Currently sitting in a single sized bed with a brown throw settled on top of me like a blanket, I squinted when I looked at the window that was at the end of the room with bars covering it.
What the?
The door was opened then and a voice spoke, "How are you feeling Luna?" Hearing that line made me whip my head to meet whoever the fuck dared to call me that. I had to bit back a retirt when I realized that I wasn't within pack territory of either mine or Carters'. "Where am I?" I asked warily as I eyed the brunette with blue eyes that stood with his back straight and stiff. He replied back, "I'm sorry but I'm not at liberty to say."
I narrowed my eyes at him as warning signals started going off in my head while asking, "Why not? It doesn't make much difference if you tell considering this." I pulled back the blanket and gestured towards my chained ankle. "Forgive me Luna but, Alphas' orders."
Alpha?
Before I could even protest, he left the room and locked the door shut on his way out. My heart started to beat nervously as my palms got sweaty when I tried to remember what the fuck happened last night. Rubbing my temples, I let my legs dangle at the side of the bed as I tried to recall what happened before I got here. After a while, I threw my hands up in despair as I growled out, "This is hopeless! What the fuck happened to me?"

Pacing in the room, I racked my brain trying to figure out a way to get out if this place. Standing still for a moment to calm down with my eyes closed, I opened them and the first thing that caught my eye was my duffel bag.
A glimpse of me back at my granddads' old getaway made me take a step back as the memory started to unfold itself. "Shit, shit, shit!" I whispered to myself as I leaned against the wall for support when I remembered what happened.
Carter.
My safety.
Leaving the house.
Getting knocked at the back of the head.
And now I was trapped in a house full of rogues that called me Luna.
I snapped out of my thoughts when the door opened once more and I growled out as a man in his early 30s entered, "What do you want?" He raised his left eyebrow while saying, "Checking up on my mate of course."
Wait.
Mate?
Warily keeping an eye on him, I asked, "Mate?" The guy then broke in to a smile as he nodded while saying, "Yes. I'm so sorry for rejecting you Susan. I hope you forgive me." As he took a step closer to me, I asked quickly, "What's your name?" His eyes flashed with hurt as he mumbled, "You don't remember me?"
Sweat started to form on my forehead as I replied with my brows furrowed in confusion, "I've never even seen you. Let alone met you." I flinched back in fear when he snarled out with his eyes pitched black, "Yes you do! You do and you know who I am!" Staring at him with terror in my eyes, I flinched back once more when he caressed my cheek as he spoke with his voice soft, "You mean everything to me. Please." Before leaving, he whispered against my ear with desperation in his voice, "Remember."

Hours later, I was still chained in this prison as I tried to figure out where the hell I was and how I could escape. I tried mind-linking my pack once more but still I got nothing. It was as though there was something blocking my one way of communicating with my family and friends. Growling, I kicked a hole in the wall as I yelled out, "Let me out of this fucking cage you psychopaths!" Pushing my hair away from my face, I pulled my hair out in frustration as I paced the room again that I thought there would be a path as to where I kept walking on.
I approached the window and rattled the bars as I desparately tried to escape. Getting nothing, I went to the bathroom and saw the window there didn't have a bar but it was small and narrow. I could squeeze through probably but the only problem was the chain attached to my ankle was silver and if I so much as touched it, it would burn me so badly I'd get blisters before I even escaped from the chains. The only reason my ankle wasn't burning right now was because it was cuffed over my jeans but I could still feel warmth radiating from it just passed through the thin material of cloth.
I tried to shift in to my wolf but something was preventing me from doing so and as I gave up for the umpteenth time, the door
opened and the brown haired, blue eyed boy appear once more as he said, "The Alpha requests your presence at the dinner table Luna."
I growled out, "Stop calling me that."
"Alphas' orders Luna." he said while shrugging his shoulders while I just glared at him. "Even if I wanted to join," I bited out, I shook my ankle while fuming, "I can't even leave the room without being pulled back in here." The guy raised his eyebrows as he asked, "Will you try to escape?" Rolling my eyes, I sarcastically replied while drawling out, "No, I'll just stay here with you fuckers till the end of my days with that moron claiming me as his mate!" I slammed the door shut in his face as I punched a hole in the wall while growling.

Ellie is excited to go to university and finally make friends after a difficult time at high school. Emperor NPC
The Demon Emperor had taken one billion lives and conquered the realms of elves, dwarfs, and giants. When the final realm of man fell to his armies, the stage was set for their world’s finale. A spire of brilliant light pierced the sky, and as the land was torn asunder, the demon emperor met his death. It was not by the hands of a hero, or goddess’ champion, but by a system developer—a creator of the VRMMO Ark World—masquerading as a god! “It’s ironic that it would be you,” said a voice in the black void of the quantum system. “Strange, that you’ve given me this quest, and stranger that I can’t do it without you.” By the power of the thirteenth system developer, the “goddess” Amarytha, the demon emperor was reborn in a new video game where his character never came to be. In the Ark World Sandbox, humans rule as gods over nations of NPCs. Through mastery of their administration commands, they hold absolute control. Only the demon emperor, liberated by the Player System, can challenge them. A crusade begins with one step. Freedom from humanity begins here! ---------------- I'm going to be upfront here. This is not an anti-hero story. So, if you've come for anti-hero you might not enjoy it. The cover art I commissioned from my friend @cyborgraptor. You can find her on twitter, or tumblr. Absolutely awesome person, and way too humble. She's also a great dps on WoW, and her and I always fought for top of the meters. I update every day, or nearly every day. I'll be updating this quickly as I bring it to parity with my other sites. Afterwards, expect 6 or 7 chapters a week. This is my only job and I approach it professionally.
